Caitlyn sipped on her tea when one of her loyal assistants strolls into her office with documents in her hand.

"She's at it again, Ma'am."

With the steely resolve of a trained professional, she set her cup and saucer down on her desk and folded her arms in her lap, "Very well."

As she stood, her seat transformed into her trusty temporal plasma blaster. It floated there, ready to create the temporal portal at the drop of a hat. Caitlyn quickly perused the file. She knew this one well. A time assassin that jumped between realities. Those lucky enough to return say she kills indiscriminately. One account states she cackled as she eviscerated her target.

"Right." Without a second though, her blaster split in half and opened up a gate to a rather rose-colored world. A tiny silk titfer with a ribbon around its base popped out. She caught it with ease. "Reality F1-N3." Caitlyn thought to herself and donned it before she jumped into this other reality.

As soon as she arrived on the other side, her gun closed the time gate and back into her trusty weapon. The time-enforcer took a quick glance at her surroundings. She was in some sort of executive lounge high with a splendid view of the city below, but she couldn't stop to enjoy it. There was only time to lose. She deployed three tripods that each popped a surveillance sphere into existence. "As soon as you spot any time anomalies, report back to me." She ordered. Each eye stealthed and rolled out.

Caitlyn knew she'd never find her target by chasing shadows, but with her current base of operations, she could simply snipe her target back to her time from miles away.

"Hey there cupcake." A sultry voice called out.

She rolled her eyes. The time-enforcer was all too familiar with that voice and turned her gaze towards the speaker. There, a woman with perfectly coiffed pink hair leaned against a wall. Her hulking gauntlets rested across her arms.

"Can I help you?" Caitlyn asked with a tinge of coldness.

"Maybe?" the mystery woman replied. She had an air of confidence, yet lacked in any form of arrogance. The subtle scent of rosé wafted through the air. The corner of her lips curled into a slight smirk, "How about you introduce yourself first and we'll take it from there. The name's Vi." she said. With that, she approached the blue-haired woman and eagerly awaited her response.

"Caitlyn." she replied. That's when she saw it. Two glowing spikes of pulsefire ignited behind Vi. She looked Vi in the eyes and said, "Sorry love." as she took her gun and in one fell swoop fired a net at her new pink-haired annoyance.

Vi fell to the floor and groaned, "What was that for!?" She cried out.

The long, flexible ribbons of metal sliced the air just above Vi. The two pulsing flames at the tips left behind a trail that would've hit the back of her neck if she hadn't fallen. Slowly, an impossibly perfect female figure materialized. It was Evelynn: the infamous time assassin.

"Aw... You found me." Evelynn said in a mocking tone. She let out a soft giggle and eyed up her pursuer.

"Drop your weapons and put your hands where I can see them" Caitlyn ordered with her finger on the trigger.

"Ooo~ Did you bring the fuzzy cuffs?" she mocked, clasping her two perfectly manicured hands together. "How sweet~"

Caitlyn maintained her stance. Evelynn rolled her glowing blue eyes in response. Her lips curled into a sinister smile before she completely disappeared again. Quick on the draw, Caitlyn fired a plasma blast, but to no avail.

"You wanna know why I chose this one, Caitlyn?" Evelynn asked. Her voice came from the opposite corner of the room. The enforcer took aim and prepared another shot. That's when she felt four needle-sharp claws on her neck that chilled her to her very core. That's when Evelynn leaned in and whispered in her ear, "Because I knew this would hurt you the most."

"WATCH OUT, CUPCAKE!" Vi shouted. Her gauntlets whirred to life and she charged past the officer, knocking the assassin back. Evelynn let out a shriek of pain mixed with pleasure. Another charged punch shattered the glass behind the her. Then, she knocked her into the air before smashing her back down on the ground.

Caitlyn, taken aback by Vi's heroics, stumbled for a split second, but she quickly took aim at Evelynn. She had her now.

Evelynn, badly battered and bruised, stood again. She could see Caitlyn's laser focused on her chest. "You... skanks..." she said between labored breaths. "I'll be back..."

With the blast fully charged and locked on Evelynn, Caitlyn pulled the trigger. There was no way she could avoid this shot. That's when Evelynn unleashed all of the pulsefire she had left in a final desperate attack. Everything slowed for Caitlyn. She watched the two ribbon-like blades slash with such velocity and fury, it's no wonder why she was such a skilled assassin. She watched the shot almost connect, but suddenly, she was sucked backwards into a time portal. She could see that damned smirk on her lips. Their eyes locked just before she disappeared into another reality.

She heaved a heavy sigh and opened up a portal back to her office. "Thanks for the assist." she said.

"Any time." Vi said with a genuine smile. "Maybe you can visit me again some time. You know, without your murder-y friend."

Caitlyn locked eyes with the other and thought to herself, "Let's hope not" before she jumped back to her time. When she returned, she immediately filled out the appropriate paperwork. Current Status: Unknown. Just then, a familiar pink haired woman barged into the office. The corners of Caitlyn's lips curled into a smile.

"Hey cupcake. How's work?" Vi asked with a wide grin.

"Fine, love. Just fine."

Hey there! I wrote this for Skintober. I've always wanted someone to share my writing, so I guess here's a good place. I'm open to critiques. I know my word choices aren't that great, so any advice would be wonderful.
