#Short Lore

A ranger of peerless bravery, Aeria grew up amongst hunting and stalking in the vast fields and forests of Ionia. However, such tame fare was never enough for her, who aimed for larger prey. Spending three years in the Plague Jungles, learning the intricacies of the beasts that had lived there, her time was cut short when a letter of recall urged her to return to oppose the Noxian invasion. Witnessing the devestation that has occurred, Aeria pledges to fight until every Noxian is dead – and then some.

#Long Lore

The wind blew through the trees, as the gentle gusts whistled through the leafy branches. Above it all lay the crescent moon, though it's forme was full. Truly a beautiful night, thought Aeria, as she looked to the world around her, the peaceful tranquility of the forest, the darkened skies lit gently by the stars that shined and sparkled with pure gentesse. And yet...there are those which we cannot ignore, looking beyond the horizon as she perused her thoughts. There, the skyline had turned a sickly orange, infernal columns of orange-black smoke shattering the serene sanctity of the star-lit sky which unfolded before her.

Surely, another hundred, perhaps two dead, all ours, all innocents, and yet....yet there is nothing I can about it. She had wished that she was anywhere but here, even in the dark depths of the Kumungu Jungles, fighting monsters that were ever more diverse, more mutated than the last. She pictured herself amongst the tall, forboding heights of the jungle trees once more, their towering forms slick with vines and creepers, leaving her world in shadow. Yet, even then, she had enjoyed herself. Very much. She had admired the thrill of fighting a shadow war, with the beasts and their unknown ways, nothing by her side but her sword and bow. She remembered her first kill most of all, a shadowy form amongst many, yet visible enough to be seen against the imposing darkness of the trees. For three weeks she had tracked the creature, following it's footsteps, searching for it's infernal den. She had had no luck, for it evaded her, almost as if it was toying with her...She had found it in a clearing, at last, surrounded by the thick bush that pervaded her environment. She could hear it's growl, soft, but menacing, and realised that she had not been the hunter, but the hunted.

Drawing her bow and closing her eyes, but remaining focused, she listened for it's telltale signs, the sound of it's heavy, wet breathing, the surge of movement amongst the low brush, the scent as it crushed the foul smelling berries of the sinister trees whose leaves blocked out the sun. And then...growl was loud, aggressive, hungry. She turned to draw an arrow, took aim, loosed. But it's shaft whistled past the beaast's shoulder as it lunged past her, she instead took to draw her sword. The beast paused before pouncing once, though this time, it went for her hand. Nearly caught unprepared, Aeria had turned to remove the hidden dagger within the hilt. The shadowy form had latched on, and she winced in pain as she felt the creature's sharp teeth sink itself into her knuckles. With a deft motion, she swung it away from her, it's teeth leaving deep bloody furrows where it's teeth had been in her hand. Yet, at the same time, she moved to throw her dagger, finding it's mark, and embedding itself deep in the thing's belly. She remembered how she had left it pinned, relishing in her triumph, her moment. But then it came. The thing she had dreaded above all others. Not the darkness of the trees, not the creatures wreathed in shadow, but a letter. Of recall.

She had not wanted to open it, to read it's contents, but she knew it's contents. After all, it had bore the seal of the Presidium, and they would not have interrupted her without great cause. She had read it, and her heart had dropped faster than when she first encountered the unknowable horrors which resided in the cryptic depths of the Kumungu jungles. For her homeland was under attack. And Ionia was burning.

Aeria had chartered the fastest ship she could, and yet, every second lasted too long. When she finally arrived on the shores of her home, she could see that was too true. Taking charge of the group she had been assigned, she had quickly returned to the front, where she encountered a Noxian commander, his helm steeped in crimson, with a sword as large as his ego. Offering to challenge one of those amongst her to a duel, she accepted.

The morning of the duel, she dressed in her combat garb, equipped her weapons, and...promptly stabbed him through the hand with her dagger as they moved to exchange. In her next motion, she had removed two arrows from her quiver, jabbing them savagely into his eyes, before taking the massive sword from his limp hands and bisecting him with it.

The field had been quiet that day, both armies stunned into submission at the savagery that had just transpired. She had had to rally her comrades before they had charged, but still, that evening, the rivers had run red with Noxian blood. Less pleasing were the proceedings. Summoned back to the Presidium on the pretense of being 'dishonourable', stripped of her command, dismissed for her 'crime'. Aeria didn't care at the charges. She was not fighting for them, but her home. They were not, after all, one and the same.

Hearing voices, Aeria returned to the present. From the tones, there were eight, their heavy foootsteps trampling the leaves. Carefully notching two arrows, she waited until the first had passed below the tree where she had been crouching. He died quickly, an arrow through his throat leaving him gargling and choking on his own blood. The second had had time to look up, before a serrated shaft had pierced his eye. The third had not been so lucky. As his fellow comrades fumbled for their weapons, he had taken the brunt of her weight as she dropped from the branch she had perched on. Several ribs cracked, most likely, thought Aeria much pain, though she quickly ended it with a sword in the throat. His fellow man, the quickest amongst those remaining, charged her with his own sword, yelling, as if to inspire bravery in his friends. She deftly put a stop to that, her own blade rushing to meet his, and while she stood her ground, his momentum had carried him forward as he tripped, muddied and bruised. Her foot quickly brought an end to that, a spray of red accompanying the satisfying crack that followed. A shadowy movement had followed, catching in the corner of her eye, and her hidden blade had flown to meet him. The fountain that erupted told her she had found her mark. The other three turned to run, causing Aeria to revert to her bow. One fell quickly, the arrow nailing him to the tree, but her other shot had been far more damaging. Though it had gone through the heart of one, it had merely pierced the shoulder of the other, the weight of his dead comrade causing him to stumble and fall.

Aeria caught up to him, taking brisk strides, as he struggled to get to his feet. “Please”, he whimpered, the voice weak and pathetic. “I...I..my family...they will ransom me...you...you oonly have to..”

“Really?” questioned Aeria, though in a mocking tone. “Will they be able to pay the true cost of your expedition? No doubt, you are stalling, hoping that your companions will find and save you? I tell you, they are all dead, and there is a debt you must pay, though it be in blood. Do you see that glare, that was a village I passed through. I believe a young child greeted me as I passed, asked if I would like an apple from her family's grove. Your presence...I know enough to understand she is dead, her blood feeding the worms in the ground...or another fate....much worse...”. She tailed off.

“I...no...the villagers resisted. They would have killed us all, given the chance and I...we had to..”

She interrupted harshly. “ And it would have been their right to do so, for this is their home. Mine too, as it were. But enough. I am certain that you, one day, might return home, but...until then, well...we shall see if your comrades do know what you are truly made of, hm?” Swiftly kicking him, the duo collasped into the nearby stream. She could hear his screams as the current carried him, crashing him into the rocks, before finally stopping at some debris which gathered at the mouth, where it linked with another. The boy, though had been unfortunate, having been impaled on one of the branches that jutted out from a trunk strewn across. Yet, Aeria smiled as she saw the path the river took, winding and circling, all the way through the Noxian camp which lay at the bottom of the ridge.

Aye, she thought to herself. There is definitely work to be done.

#Ability Overview

##Overview

Aeria is a mixed bruiser/marksman who can adapt to most situations through the versatility offered by her kit. She is encouraged to use both parts of her kit as her passive offers her special bonuses for utilising both forms. She has different roles which she can take within the team, being able to be built as a bruiser, marksmen, or even a semi-capable support.

Aeria's passive is Combat Pragmatist, which cause her attacks to apply form specific debuffs. While using her Bow, she can apply Serrated Arrows, which interact with her melee attacks and abilities. When wielding her Sword, her attacks apply Soft Points, which interact with her ranged attacks and abilities.

Serrated Arrows passively cause her melee auto-attacks to rip them out of her foe's body, which adds a flat amount of damage to her attack. However, it also deals a percentage of their missing health as physical damage.

Soft Points cause her ranged auto-attacks to deal a percentage of the enemies' max health as physical damage.

While using her Bow, Aeria's Q is Treetop Ambush, which has two parts. Her first cast will cause her to jump on a wall, allowing her to move around and shoot while on a wall with reduced movement speed. However during this period, she is still targetable and can be affected normally. When cast a second time, she leaps out a short distance, before a number of arrows at nearby targets based on the time she spent climbing walls. If one of these arrows triggers a Soft Point, they will pierce through the target.

Wielding her Sword, Aeria can use Perilous Assault, causing her to leap high before coming down hard on a target. This is her primary gapcloser. Furthermore,it can also root a target briefly if they have been pierced by a Serrated Arrow

With the Wind causes Aeria's next attack wielding her Bow to be split into 3, each dealing a percentage of her total AD. This is her primary steroid, and is the best way of applying stacks of Serrated Arrow quickly. If the enemy has Soft Points, each shot will also reduce the target's armor by a percentage.

Hidden Dagger causes Aeria to eject a small dagger from the hilt of her Sword, and throws it in a direction, which deals physical damage. Aeria can use this to create a Soft Point in a target from afar. If they have been affected by Serrated Arrow, Hidden Dagger will also cause them to bleed for a short time.

Aeria can draw a Weighted Shot with her Bow, causing her to increase it;s range while she is charging it. When she looses, it will pass through the first target hit until it lodges itself in another enemy or a wall. The two are then tethered together for a time, and cannot be further than a certain distance apart. If it pierces a Soft Point, it will also carry the first target with it as it flies.

Aeria can also use her Sword to land a Battering Blow on an enemy, dealing magic damage and slowing them heavily for a brief moment. This is Aeria's primary CC tool, and if they have Serrated Arrows lodged in them, she can rip all of them out to temporarily inflich Nearsight as well. If she rips out enough arrows, they can also be stunned.

Aeria is able to switch weapons with her Adaptability, which also has a passive component. Engaging in combat grants her Fury, and once she has enough fury, she can undertake offensive action in order to trigger an effect specific to her form. While wielding her Bow, her every attack will be a critical strike, but will deal reduced damage. Holding her Sword causes her first and every few strikes after to briefly incapacitate the target, which will cause her to dodge their next instance of damage.

#Passive ##Combat Pragmatist

Aeria shoots Serrated Arrows from her Bow, causing her autoattacks and abilities to implant themselves in her target, and improving her attacks and abilities while using her Sword. Triggering Soft Points with her auto attacks will cause them to deal an additional 4/6/8 (+0.02 bonus AD)% of their maximum health in physical damage. Furthermore, Aeria does not have to stop moving to trigger these attacks. Aeria may have a maximum of 3 Serrated Arrows in an enemy at once.

Aeria's autoattacks and abilities with her Sword leave Soft Points on her targets, which increase the effectiveness of her attacks and abilities while using her Bow. Aeria's Sword blows against a target with Serrated Arrows will also cause her to rip them out of her target's body, dealing an extra 10 (+5 per level damage) (+8% missing health) and reducing their attack speed by 15/20/25% for 2 seconds.Aeria may have a maximum of 3 Soft Points on an enemy at once.

#R ##Adaptability

Passive – Battleborne: Aeria gains Fury everytime she is in combat or hits an enemy with an autoattack or ability. After she has attained 100 Fury, her next offensive action will trigger Battleborne, granting her Sharp Eye while using her Bow, while wielding her Sword will grant her Deft Strike as well as 20/30/40/50 movement speed. Battleborne lasts 5 seconds. Aeria is then unable to gain Fury for 20/16/12/8 seconds.

Bow: Sharp Eye

Aeria's autoattacks will always crit for 150% damage (187.5% with IE)

#Animations & VFX

Movement– Bow

  • Aeria holds the bow with her right hand, while pulling the string back with her left. While she is running, she will move in a crouched position, as if she is moving into a buffeting wind. In this pose, Aeria will take small, measured, but quick steps.

Movement – Sword

  • Aeria keeps her left hand on the hilt of her sword, which is in a scabbard on her right side. Aeria also moves cautiously while in this pose, but has a more upright figure than when wielding a bow. She will also occasionally dart her head from side to side, as if checking for threats.

Autoattack – Bow

Aeria will draw back her bow with her left hand before loosing, leaving the sharp black arrow to fly. As she does this, she will also draw and nock another arrow, and will persist in this motion until she has gone several seconds without firing. This will cause her to loosen her stance, and hold the string with less tension (effect is cosmetic only)

Autoattack – Bow with Soft Point

Aeria's arrow will pass through even more swiftly, causing a spurt of blood to erupt, and causing the arrow to be buried even more deeply within the target.

Critical Strike – Bow

Aeria will draw her bow further back, making the projectile fly faster than the standard one. Her stance will also be more tense than the original. Additionally, the shot will have dark particles that appear to be flying off it as moves.

Autoattack – Sword

Aeria will bring her sword across the enemy in 1 of 3 patterns: either diagonals, or a horizontal sweep. While her movements are not overly forceful, they are still done with a degree of force, and bear an air of precision.

Autoattack – Sword with Serrated Arrow

Aeria uses her right hand to rip out the arrow, while using a corresponding left hand motion to make a cut with her sword, which passes through the wound point. There will also be a small amount of blood from this.

Critical Strike – Sword

Aeria will quickly whirl around in an anti-clockwise direction, while the strike itself will target lower on the body of the target than her standard attack.

Passive – Serrated Arrows

Serrated Arrows will stick in their target at random angles with random depths.

Passive – Soft Point

Soft Points will be indicated by a small pink X mark located on the target's body.

Q – Bow

First Cast

Aeria will perform a dive into the trees, which will be followed by a roll and ending with her assuming her crouching position. As she remains amongst them, there will be more arrows visibly nocked in her bow string.

Second Cast

Aeria jumps out high, and fires her prepared arrows at targets around her. As she lands, she will land in a kneeling position, with one knee on the ground, the corresponding hand holding the bow, and her other hand also on the ground.

Q – Sword

Aeria leaps with incredible speed to come down onto the target, causing her to sweep her sword across her target as she lands. If the target has a Serrated Arrow, she will knock them to the ground, causing them to be pinned briefly.

W – Bow

The arrow that is notched is Aeria's bow will begin to glow red. If she fires, the arrow will glow even more red, and will split into 3 as it flies. If they encounter a Soft Point, they will play a loudn 'clink' effect.

W – Sword

Aeria moves her right hand to the base of a sword to press a hidden switch, ejecting a dagger. In a deft motion, she will then turn and face the target direction before throwing it with thumb and forefinger. If it lands in a target with a Serrated Arrow, the dagger will stick in them for the duration of the bleed.

E – Bow

Aeria pulls an arrow with a weighted, bulbous head, and begins to draw, straining somewhat. As the range increases, orange particles will form around her hand. When loosed, it will trail rope as it flies, and when it is connected between two targets, a visible rope will appear, joining the two. If they are at the maximum distance apart, the rope will be taut.

E – Sword

Aeria brings down the hilt of her sword down heavily on the head of her target, dazing them briefly for the period. If there are Serrated Arrows embedded in them, she will isntead rip them out of her target's body before jamming them into their eyes with a harsh movement. The force of this increases if she rips more arrows out.

R – Passive

While Battleborne is active, Aeria is surrounded by a red aura. Furthermore, the weapon she is wielding at the time will take on a strong red tinge.

#Playstyle

Early Game

Aeria's early game is fairly good, as her manaless traits allow her to use her abilities off cooldown to harass her enemies. Furthermore, she is also able to trade with her ranged auto-attacks, before switching to melee to inflict greater damage or finish an opponent off. Aeria can be a lane bully to an extent due to these factors, but must also be careful regarding her Battleborne passive, as misusing it at a key moment may permit an opponent to trade deciscively with you when you don't have it available. Futhermore, she lacks mobility or ways to escape a gank unless you either land your Weighted Shot or your Battering Blows. Without these or other movement speed items, she is very susceptible to being engaged on in either form by more mobile opponents.

##Mid Game

When moving into the mid-game, Aeria should attempt to make use of cheap bruiser items in order to both make her tanky yet still be able to deal damage. However, if she is ahead, she may also opt to take certain marksman items, such as Rapid-Fire Cannon, Phantom Dancer or Runaan's Hurricane in order to optimise her damage output. Regardless, Aeria should build somewhat tanky as she requires access to melee range in order to best utilise her strengths. At this point, she should attempt to make picks, or secure a retreat with Weighted Shot, or swiftly punish a diving enemy with a With the Wind empowered autoattack followed by a deft Battering Blow for a punishing stun and nearsight combo. She can also set up ambushes using her Treetop Ambush ability, catching out unaware enemies and scouting for their movements. Though functional as a bodyguard for the main damage carry, she can also work as a diver, stopping an enemy's escape before unleashing her full force upon them.

##Late Game

Late game, Aeria transitions into a secondary source of DPS, but also functions highly effectively as a splitpusher, duelist, or assassin. Utilising Treetop Ambush effectively is most important at this stage of the game, filling her enemies full of arrows, before debiliating them with her Sword's Battering Blow and executing them with the passive component of Serrated Arrow. She is hampered to a degree by her relatively short range, but following a fairly tanky build along with the built-in utility and damage in her kit should help to mitigate her weakness, and enable her to duel most people. Regardless, Aeria should be careful of the fights she picks, as she is not easily able to escape them if her Weighted Shot/Treetop Ambush is on cooldown, and even then, may not be the most effective in doing so. Despite this, she is still very much capable of setting up shock-and-awe style ambushes, only at this stage Aeria must be more careful in the way in which she does so, while being aware of the enemies that she is jumping into.

#Closing Thoughts

Aeria was born from my idea of how to make an effective melee/ranged hybrid, similar to how Jayce was similarly envisioned, but with an ulimately less polarizing playstyle. Because of this, I wanted to make it so that her melee and ranged forms would flow together much more smoothly and complement each other in a fluent way, such that she can be effective in both forms, while making her power such that she is equally competent in both.

If you like Aeria, please leave a comment/upvote!

I feel like you put a lot of effort into the creation of this champion but I feel like her kit is a bit overwhelming. I really like the idea of her ability swapping like Jayce, nid, and Elise. I feel like this could be a great champion in game if it were slightly toned down. As for the wall concept, What if you make her invisible for 5 seconds on a wall and then go down to ambush someone. Sort of like an active teemo passive but make the cool down higher. It would be great for ganks.

Neptunes Captain3/21/2016, 7:50:35 PM1 votes

[zombie-brand-mindblown] This is kind of overwhelming with passives and things like that its a lot. I like this idea however for I had something like this. So I do think some things should be kept. The Passive is pretty good but I'd say have the ult stay which switches them although the "Sharp eye" and "Deft strike" seems like it could be a bit much. I would say also get rid of "Treetop Ambush" and replace it with the Bow's W "With the Wind" but she jumps to the wall and then back towards the target and your E for both is good but make the W simply either a spear or a dagger like you have and which reveals and maybe slow or something. But I do like the lore and the idea that she is an "Iron Archer".

In reality a lot of it is good except for the Q Bow ability. Also she kind of looks like a Commando ashe so I'd recommend changing her appearances somehow to make her unique. Make her more of a hunter look maybe. But I must say putting her passive making the sword compliment the bow and vice versa is very cool

Do soft points and embedded serrated arrows have a set duration before expiring?

For clean wounds, shouldn't arrows stop if they a unit without soft points? If an arrow shoots thru units with soft point...will it still leave embedded serrated arrows?

Sorry I took so long. You asked if I would give you a full champ review so I'll do the best I can. There is a lot of text so my response is limited, I may have to split it in 2 comments. I also don't typically look at numbers, just the overall concept. You asked for an honest opinion and I will give you one, but this is just how I view the champion. You don't need to change your champ to suite my liking's, and if any of this comes across negatively, that's not my intention. Anyway, let's get started:

{quoted} #Passive ##Combat Pragmatist Aeria shoots Serrated Arrows from her Bow, causing her autoattacks and abilities to implant themselves in her target, and improving her attacks and abilities while using her Sword.

Just to clarify: as "Serrated Arrows" only applies to the next basic attack against the champion, is this similar in that triggering "Soft Points" only causes the next basic deals the % of max health, and then all stacks are lost? Also does EACH stack apply the max health damage? Ie, lets say it was doing 10% max health, does having 3 stacks of "Soft Points" mean you deal 30%?

Aeria's autoattacks and abilities with her Sword leave Soft Points on her targets, which increase the effectiveness of her attacks and abilities while using her Bow. Aeria's Sword blows against a target with Serrated Arrows will also cause her to rip them out of her target's body, dealing an extra 10 (+5 per level damage) (+8% missing health) and reducing their attack speed by 15/20/25% for 2 seconds.Aeria may have a maximum of 3 Soft Points on an enemy at once.

A good flip going from max health to missing health. While the attack speed reduction is a nice little buff, to me it makes the first half seem weaker. You basically have to look at it from the perspective of: do I pick the one that gives me 1 thing? Or the one that gives me 2 things? I also feel like some sort of bleed would make a little more sense thematically on this. Serrated arrows are specifically design to be difficult to take out and cause massive bleeding if they are. I see you have that later in the kit though so I digress. And same question as "Soft Blows", does having 3 stacks mean you deal (0 (+5 per level damage) (+8% missing health)) * 3? Or does it just consume all stacks and apply it once?

Overall interesting approach to a form change champ. There's a lot to play with on an ability like this.

#Q (Bow) ##Treetop Ambush

First Cast: Aeria jumps onto a nearby wall for up to 6/7/8/9/10 seconds. While on a wall, she loses 40/30/20/10/0% movement speed, but is able to climb over walls. While on a wall, Aeria is able to autoattack and cast abilities. However, changing to her sword will cause her to jump off regardless.

Second Cast: Aeria leaps off the wall to target location, firing up to 2 (+seconds spent on wall) arrows at nearby enemies (champion prioritised), each dealing 100% total AD. Enemies which are hit more than once will take 25% damage from additional arrows.

Clean Wound - Arrows will pass through an enemy with Soft Points, consuming the mark and continuing until they reach Aeria's maximum attack range.

Range: 400 Lock-On Range: 400 Cooldown: 20/19/18/17/16

Notes

  • Enemies will not be considered for multiple hits until every enemy in the range has been hit by at least 1 arrow.

As unique an idea as this is...it honestly feels kinda awkward. It has no real use in lane other than maybe escape, but could find a place in a junglers kit. This also contains a number of issues related to targeting if you allow a person to run around on top of walls. Is she immune to CC while on top of a wall? If she isn’t, what happens if she becomes rooted and the timer runs out?

#Q (Sword) ##Perilous Assault

Leaps into the air, before coming down on target enemy, who are dealt 60/100/140/180/220 (+0.6 bonus AD) damage.

Impaling Shaft - Aeria drives the shaft of the Serrated Arrow into the ground, rooting the targeted enemy for 1 second.

Radius: 250 Range: 700 Cooldown: 10

So is this more like Panth’s Q in that is a short jump kinda thing? Or more like an Elise Rappel?

#W (Bow) ##With the Wind

Causes Aeria's next auto-attack to be split into three, each dealing 40/45/50/55/60% of her total AD and applying on-hit effects.

Dextrous Aim - If the enemy has a Soft Point, With the Wind will consume it to shred 4/5/6/7/8% of their armor per shot..

Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6

This is alright. Nice ability with a potentially strong bonus effect. Just feels kind of...basic I guess? Not saying it bad, and armour pen is good for this kit, just doesn’t really pop for me.

#W (Sword) ##Hidden Dagger

Aeria pulls out the dagger socketed in her sword and throws it in a direction dealing 60/85/110/135/160 (+0.7 bonus AD) and revealing the enemy hit for 2 seconds.

** To the Source** - If the enemy has a Serrated Arrow in them, the dagger will worsen the wound, causing them to bleed for 8/16/24/32/40 (+0.1 bonus AD) per second for 4 seconds.

Range: 600 Cooldown: 12

Why would she throw a dagger when she has a bow and arrows? Thematically, this seems weak. While being prepared for all situations is one thing, you have a strong emphasis in this kit of the bow being ranged and the sword being melee. It would kinda be like if say, Braum used a sword to parry something. That said, the bleed is a good effect.

#E (Bow) ##Weighted Shot

Aeria draws back a sharp but heavy arrow, slowing herself while increasing it's range over 1 second. When loosed, this arrow will pierce it's first target, dealing 80/120/160/200/240 (+0.5 bonus AD) (+0.5 AP) physical damage to the target. If the arrow hits another unit or a wall, it lodges itself in them, dealing the damage to the secondary target and chaining the targets together for 3 seconds. During this period, the targets cannot be futher than 800 units apart.

Momentous Arrow

The arrow pierces through the Soft Point, consuming it, which also has enough force to carry the first target back until they either hit another unit or it reaches the end of it's flight path.

Initial Range: 600 Maximum Range: 1200 Projectile Width: 80 Projectile Speed: 2000 Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12

This is cool. I actually really like this idea a lot of pinning 2 champs together, or a select champ to a wall. Sort of like a variation of a Bard Q. My only suggestion is that if they end up breaking the tether, they take damage. Other than that, I like it.

#E (Sword) ##Battering Blow Aeria lands a heavy two-handed thrust on to the target enemy, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+1 total AD) magic damage and slowing them by 40/50/60/70/80% for 1 second.

Crippling Strike – Aeria pulls out all the Serrated Arrows from her target, and jams them into their eyes, inflicting Nearsight on them for 0.5 (+ 0.5 per Serrated Arrow) seconds. If 3 arrows are pulled out, the foe is also stunned for the duration.

Range: 400 Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10

Hmm...There is a lot to happening with this ability. You have: Damage, Slow, and potential Nearsight, and Stun. I would suggest lessening the impact of the slow at later levels and increase the duration instead (even something like 1.5 seconds or something is fine). I can’t say I’m a big fan of the “jams them in their eyes” part. It seems overly violent oddly enough. Again think about the thematic of having a sword out and then instead stabbing people with an arrow. Sure the arrows are already in the person, but you literally have a sword that you could just as easily stab them with.

#R ##Adaptability Passive – Battleborne: Aeria gains Fury everytime she is in combat or hits an enemy with an autoattack or ability.

Bow: Sharp Eye Aeria's autoattacks will always crit for 150% damage (187.5% with IE)

Alright. Nothing much to really comment on as there is not much happening.

Sword: Deft Strike Aeria's first, and every third strike after causes Aeria to deftly incapacitate the target, causing their next instance of damage against her to have no effect.

A little confused about the first and third strike aspect of this. How many hits are in this cycle? The cancellation of damage is a neat idea. Kind of like you’re fighting so well that you’re deflecting all attacks.

Active: Switches between Aeria's Bow and Sword. When switching to her Bow, Aeria gains 375 range. When switching to her Sword, she gains 15 movement speed.

Cooldown: 4

Overall there’s some interesting ideas in the kit, but a lot of room for improvement. I would suggest making both kits distinct from each other in their bonuses. Bow could provide combat tricks (the pull/knock back on the E is a good example of this), and the Sword could provide combat advantage (armour pen, bleeds, attack speed buffs ect) just as an idea. I also liked that for the Q and the E that the cooldowns decreased on the Bow side, but remained static for the Sword. Perhaps another direction could be increases in damage for the Sword, but increases in cooldowns for the Bow. A solid foundation and a good first drafting of a champ. Nice work.

I like the switchablility and the uniqueness of the kit, but overall I feel like it would end up being a little too powerful.

Also, we already have Ashe and Varus, let's try not to overwhelm bot lane with bows n arrows. But I still like the concept nonetheless. Very creative.

I've got a concept of my own; a void creature named Xaj'Ahr. Think you could give it a quick review? Thanks! http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/6YdnX5EH-xajahr-the-void-guard-ranged-ap-health-scaling-tank

so if "Triggering Soft Points with her auto attacks will cause them to deal an additional 4/6/8 (+0.02 bonus AD)% of their maximum health in physical damage. "

that means that an Embedded Serrated Arrow will consume the soft point - replacing it right? So that each when ever she is hitting enemies with either weapon the "marks" that she leave are constantly switching places. Hows that sound?

If she is hit by a type of hard CC that stops her movement or displaces her while using her wall run, it would knock her off to the nearest side of the wall right?

How does W(bow) work with Q(bow) if she can shoot a max of 12 arrows when jumping off a wall with Q, what happens when hes uses W?

How does E interact with Clean Wound? If the 1st target has Clean Wound, will E pass through them AND the next target, even if the next target doesn't have Clean Wound?

Passiv: "Furthermore, Aeria does not have to stop moving to trigger these attacks." does that mean she can move and attack at the same time? seems pretty strong

Q1: Standing on the wall she could wreck melee champs and they couldnt do much against it. Q2: solid ability. Like it.

W1&2: both solid and good abilities

E1: I love it! great ablity! E2: why magic damage? and in general you often dont include the damage type. i assume its usually ad damage, but write it down because magic damage can scale with ad too.

R: Solid ability!
