#Short Lore

Evaire regards herself as Piltover's finest thief. Little is known about her but her name, and even glimpses of her actions are few and far between. Whether working against Zaun or one of Piltover's own corporations, Evaire and her custom-built infiltration suit will lay their hands on anything or anyone – for a price.

#Long Lore

The corridor stretched out before her, it;s sleek metal walls lying seamless before her. It seemed harmless enough, and it was the only thing lying between Evaire and her objective. However innocuous it looked, she knew better than to trust it. Far better. Tapping at her wrist, she watched as an energy projection of her image formed before her very eyes, it's outline glowing and flickering. She signaled it to move forward, but it had not gotten half a metre before it had been zapped, shot and burnt a dozen times, as the image faded once more.

Though Evaire had been still throughout, her eyes hadn't been, tracking and tracing the points and timing through the slits of her Infil-X suit. Noticing the periodic placements of the traps and hidden openings, she sighed gently, adjusting a knob on her Phase Capacitor. It was going to be close this time, she thought, as she prepped herself for the run through the gauntlet. Tapping once more at her wrist, she paused for half a second as her form became wraith-like, almost incorporeal, taking the time to mentally map out her path ahead.

Bracing herself once more, Evaire moved with lightning agility, first touching her hand to a wall, then a foot to the floor, diving, righting herself, jumping once more as sudden chasm opened in the floor, all mere milliseconds before the traps themselves in the corridor triggered, spewing their deadly payloads at places where Evaire had been just moments before. Zaunite technology, Evaire thought, as she dodged the last of a few well-placed traps, but before she could savor the thought, she saw a grabber claw come out of an emplacement in the wall, its pincers snapping with bone-crushing force. Snapping once more to the present, she detached an Electrobolt from her right wrist, throwing it into the socket as it overloaded with a burst of sparks and electricity.

Brushing herself off, Evaire stood up from her crouched position from where she had emerged from the trap-laden corridor. Too close she thought. Perhaps I really am getting too old for this. There had been speculatory articles about who she was, who really lay behind the mask, whether even such a person existed. Of course, back in her native Piltover, Caitlyn had been the first to denouce such a presence, attributing it all to organised crime, but Evaire knew that she knew better. But then again...perhaps not finishing her thought as she deftly landed another Electrobolt in an unsuspecting droid servant, short-circuiting with flashes of blue electricity. It had been the last obstacle between her and her objective – a stack of research papers on some new invention or another – Evaire never questioned her clients, assuming they knew much better than she did.

Lying in the middle of the atrium, neatly organised into a binder was the objective of her infiltration. Evaire moved forward to retrieve it, when she heard a flurry of organised clicks all around her. A small army of security mechs, their weapon arms aimed squarely at Evaire, surrounded the moon-lit atrium as they organised on the balcony that lay above it. And, at the center of them all, was a small dais where a bald figure in a lab coat and wire-frame glasses presided over it all.

“Ah, Evaire”, spoke the figure. “I thought you might pay me a visit. I decided to... take precautions – see if the legends were true. And you...you have truly delivered.”

“Professor Pididly, I presume?” replied Evaire. “Your reputation precedes you. Truly a man of many words, too many though, for my taste.”

“What you believe doesn't matter. What does matter, however, is the fate of every legend”, he replied curtly. “It's end.”

“Oh, I don't think so”, Evaire said smugly, as she tapped at her wristpad, emitting a brilliant flash that illuminated the dark night.

Momentarily stunned, but quickly regaining his senses, Pididly ordered the mechs to fire into the atrium, watching with a little smug pleasure as he saw Evaire's figure caught in the crossfire, her body crumpling with the force of the shots. Unfortunate, he thought. He had hoped to turn her to work for Zaun instead, but it was no big loss. His cool was swiftly shattered as he saw her body begin to dissolve into the air. No, he thought. It can't be... A hologram....

With swift anger, he turned to the mechs which had been arrayed around him. “Search protocol 403-B. Find the infiltrator. Retrieve the cyclonic accelerator plans. Terminate her with extreme prejudice”, he barked, a tone of anger creeping into his voice. Evaire won't escape this time he thought to himself as he turned to leave.

From behiind him, Evaire smirked. For all his intellect, the man had never thought to check right behind him. Of course, Evaire had cloaked herself, but that was of no consequence. He should have had the sense to know better. She had forged the hologram as soon as she had picked up the binder, utilising the flash to blind their sensors as she hid behind their ranks.

Perhaps next time, Professor, she thought, as she slipped through the open skylight, the moon's light illuminating her figure as she stood atop the broken atrium.

#Ability Overview

##Overview

Evaire is a mid-range AD Caster who specialises in evading the attacks of her enemies while dealing damage over an extended period. She specialises in kiting melee opponents from range, while using her superior mobility to keep her distance. While she lacks up-front damage, sustained damage from Lock-On and Mirage Assault can chip heavily at enemies over an extended period, while she is able to use her mobility to evade damage in order to compensate for being squishy. Evaire's strengths lies in her ability to deal large amounts of sustained damage over a longer period while being able to avoid burst damage and kite enemies with her mobility. However, Evaire struggles with DoT and other forms of targeted sustained damage, as well as dealing with multiple enemies at once.

Phase Capacitor is Evaire's passive. Movement will charge her Phase Capacitor, and at 100 stacks, is able to dodge the next skillshot which would otherwise hit her. Additionally, if damage were to reduce Evaire below a certain threshold, she temporarily becomes untargetable and instantly recharges her Phase Capacitor.

Evaire's Q is Lock-On. Lock-On is a channeled targeted single target spell that fires a rapid flurry of bolts at the targeted enemy as long as they remain in range of Evaire. If these bolts pass over and damage another enemy before hitting the intended target, they will do reduced damage. They are also able to break off the channel by silencing Evaire or moving out of her vision range. Lock-On is Evaire's primary way to deal damage to enemies.

Evaire's W is Evasive Maneuveurs. Evasive Maneuveurs is a short-range dash, which releases two darts to slow and reveal nearby enemies for a short duration. If an enemy is targeted by Lock-On they will always be targeted by a dart. Furthermore, Evasive Maneuveurs has a reduced cooldown if Lock-On is active when it is used. Evasive Maneuveurs is Evaire's primary mobility spell.

Evaire's E is Disjunction. Disjunction blinks Evaire a short distance and destroys any projectles locked onto her. Disjunction is Evaire's secondary mobility tool, but is also a powerful tool for avoiding targeted damage or CC which would otherwise ruin her day.

Evaire's R is Mirage Assault, has a passive and active which has three parts. Passively, Mirage Assault gives Evaire a short burst of movement speed on spell casting. When Evaire first activates Mirage Assault, she creates a Mirage which will echo her damage to her target, and will also take a proportion of damage for her. However, if the damage exceeds a certain threshold, the Mirage will dissipate, dealing the stored damage to Evaire and silencing for 1 second.

Evaire's second activation of Mirage Assault causes her to stealth for a short-medium duration, while spawning a controllable clone, which can move, attack, and cast spells like her. However, it only deals a reduced amount of damage. This is very good for deflecting atttention and buying you time if you are focused in a teamfight, allowing you to reposition, distract and disorientate the enemy.

Evaire's third activation of Mirage Assault blinks Evaire to the location of her clone, destroying it, but giving her a shield worth a % of the clone's remaining health. If the clone has died previously, Evaire is unable to cast the third activation. This is very good for getting back into the fight to pick off low-health or isolated enemies, while giving her some protection to compensate for her short-mid range nature.

#Base Statistics:

#Phase Capacitor

Moving will charge Evaire's Phase Capacitor At 100 stacks, the next skillshot that would hit Evaire will instead pass through her, but drains all of her Phase Capacitor stacks.

Additionally, if Evaire would fall below 20% of her maximum health, she ignores that instance of damage, becomes untargetable for 2 seconds and instantly recharges Phase Shift. (90 second cooldown)

Notes

  • The passive portion of Phase Shift does not benefit from cooldown reduction.
  • Phase Shift will only block the first instance of a skillshot spell.

https://i.gyazo.com/4ffc76c4d638ea59882859e940ee3adc.png #Q ##Lock-On

Passive: Evaire's autoattacks and other damaging abilities apply Target Lock to struck enemies. Further more, units marked with Target Lock will also be visible to Evaire and her allies. Target Lock will fade away stack by stack after 4 seconds with no stacks being applied. A target may have a maximum of 3 stacks at once.

Evaire commands a drone to fire 5 bolts per second for 1 (+1 per Target Lock stack) seconds at target enemy, each dealing 5/10/15/20/25/30 (+ 0.25 bonus AD) at a target. These can pierce through units, dealing 50% damage to them, but only 50% to the intended target. Lock-On will automatically cancel once enemies are out of range, or if Evaire loses vision of the target. Drones will gain 25% of Evaire's MS if Evaire is within 700 range of them. If Evaire casts a drone on a target with 3 Target Lock stacks, the drone will gain the MS boost regardless. Evaire can also walk over a drone to pick it up,

Drone Stats

Health: 5 (Max 1 health per damage instance, AA only) MS: 325

Range: 700 Max Range: 1000 Mana: 60/65/70/75/80 Drone Recharge: 18/17/16/15/14 Max Charges: 2

Notes

  • Lock-On applies offensive spell effects, but will only do so once every bolt.
  • Each bolt fired counts as a spell hit.
  • Spell Shields do not prevent Evaire from targeting the shielded unit, but will block the first bolt fired.
  • Lock-On will benefit from Spell Vamp, with each shot counting, and benefitting as a single-target hit.
  • Silencing Evaire will cancel Lock-On, placing it on it's full cooldown.
  • Drones will attempt to move into a position where they will deal full damage to the selected target.
  • Targets under attack by multiple drones will take 25% damage from drones beyond the first
  • Targeting an enemy with Lock-On will remove all Target Lock stacks from the target.

https://i.gyazo.com/54a5dae2d38b03a8a618a4717b434c5c.png #W ##Evasive Maneuveurs

Evaire dashes a short distance. At the end of the dash Evaire unleashes an Electrobolt at nearby enemies (prioritises champions), dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+0.75 total AD) (+0.5 AP) and revealing for 2 seconds. An enemy marked by Lock-On will always be hit by the Electrobolts, no matter their distance from her. . Evasive Manoeuvres has a 50% shorter cooldown if used while a Lock-On drone is actively attacking a target.

Cooldown: 8 Range: 350 Target Acquisition Range: 600 Mana: 30

#E ##Disjunction

Evaire blinks a short distance, destroying all targeted projectiles locked onto her.

Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Range: 450 Mana: 70

Notes:

  • Disjunction only destroys projectiles which have been targeted onto Evaire, such as most ranged autoattacks.
  • Disjunction does not affect tower shots

#R ##Mirage Assault

Passive: After casting a spell, Evaire gains 10/15/20 (+0.03 AD)% movement speed and can pass through units for 2 seconds.

Active:

First Cast: Evaire creates an invulnerable phantom image of herself to attack targets she attacks, echoing 50% of damage dealt. Evaire also redirects 15/20/25% of damage she receives to this Mirage, but if it takes more than 25% of Evaire's maximum health in damage, it will overload, dealing the stored damage to Evaire and silencing her for 1 second.

Second Cast: Within 8 seconds of the first cast, Evaire can cast Mirage Assault again to create a second Mirage which she can directly control, while Evaire herself stealths for up to 4 seconds. For all purposes, this Mirage is considered to be a champion, deals 50% of Evaire's damage, and the Mirage created by the first cast will track and deal damage to the target that the second Mirage attacks. The second Mirage can be controlled with Alt + Right Click, while it's abilities can be accessed with Alt+Spell Key.

Third Cast: Within 8 seconds of the previous cast, Evaire can cast Mirage Assault to blink to the location of the second Mirage, destroying it, but gaining a shield worth 25% of it's remaining health.

Cooldown: 110/95/80 Mana: 100

Notes:

  • If the Mirage created by the second cast is destroyed, Evaire will not be able to cast the third cast and Mirage Assault will instantly go on cooldown.
  • If the Mirage from the first cast overloads while the Mirage from the second cast is active and Evaire is stealthed, it will be silenced and damaged instead of Evaire.
  • The second cast Mirage will attack the enemy Evaire was attacking before casting, and will attack and cast spells in a way that allows it to take down the target.
  • If Evaire was not attacking a target when spawning the second Mirage, it will instead move in an attempt to engage the closest visible enemy.
  • Evaire cannot activate the third cast if she is more than 1500 range from the second cast Mirage.
  • The second cast Mirage will spawn with Phase Shift ready and off cooldown, and it's movement will count towards energy for it's own Phase Shift.
  • Though the second cast Mirage will appear to have items in it's inventory, it is unable to use them.
  • If Evaire and the second cast Mirage are both attacking, the first cast Mirage will only emulate Evaire's damage
  • If Evaire and the second cast Mirage are attacking the same target, the second cast Mirage will only deal 25% damage. First cast Mirage damage echo is unaffected.

End note

I do not own any of these icons.

#Animations & VFX

Idle - Evaire taps at the hextech machinery on her left wrist, causing her image to distort from left to right behind her, before fading once more.

Movement - Evaire runs with a careful, guarded stance, favoring her right foot.

Fast Movement (>400 MS) - Same as Movement, but Evaire's image distorts a little behind her (this effect is increased if Phase Shift is available)

Autoattack - Evaire aims with the energy projector on her wrist firing a thin white bolt at the enemy.

Critical Strike - Evaire braces herself for the shot, with the shot itself being larger while also pulsating

Passive - Evaire's form distorts randomly, shifting in random directions. When the passive form is activated, Evaire will distort much more strongly as if there were strong interference, causing a faded and distorted image of her to fall out behind her.

Passive – Phase Shift - Evaire's form will distort even more, and flicker between varying degrees of transparency, becoming almost wisp-like.

Q - Evaire throws out a small cube which quickly expands into a flying drone, shooting a rapid flurry of white energy bolrs at her target. If they strike another enemy unit while flying, they will darken, turning a dark-grey colour instead. Evaire will always 'track' her target by turning to face them.

W - Evaire commits a dive-roll, while bringing up her right arm to throw a pair of darts tipped with crackling blue electricity. While flying, the darts leave behind a thin trail of blue in their wake.

E - Evaire emits a soft light, her suit glowing slightly, and emitting a small electrical shockwave (white) from her original location before briefly distorting out and reforming at her ending location, emitting another small shockwave. (Shockwaves are purely cosmetic)

R – First Cast - Evaire detaches a static-like image from her body that moves with less weight than Evaire herself. The Mirage will attempt to remain parallel to Evaire throughout and will copy her every movement and action.

R – Second Cast - Evaire's suit fizzles out and blend into the background quickly hexagon by hexagon, while another second image is left behind (this animation only visible to ally team), which is identical in appearance to Evaire in every way. ( This image is tinted in negative for Evaire's team to distinguish)

R – Third Cast - Evaire's form distorts out, sparks falling to the floor at her start location, before reforming at the location of the second Mirage, distorting back into it's form. The shield she gains, if any is represented by a light blue barrier around her.

Recall - Evaire taps into the hextech machinery on her arm, before she begins to lose a solid form, and turns into thin lines of light which go directly upwards before reforming at base.

Death - Evaire is blown back hard, crumpling and rolling on the floor twice. There is also a static-like image where she began, in the form of her reaching out and falling back, but frozen, before dissipating one into small sparks after her death.

Resurrection - Evaire reforms as packets of distorted light reform from the sky (takes ~1 second)

#Playstyle

Early Game

Evaire should mainly attempt to harass and farm up in the early game. Due to the nature of Lock-On, Evaire is able to easily land a full channel in the mid lane while dodging her opponent's attempts at harass with her build-in mobility. However, Evaire must be careful, because she lacks waveclear, and as a result may find herself pushed into the tower. Nonetheless, she is still very capable of assisting a gank, as her large amount of mobility allows her to follow up and pursue her enemy effectively. Evaire is also able to use her mobility to roam effectively if she does find herself in an unfavourable situation, and possesses good sustain through her Phase Capacitor, though she must be very careful when against a DoT, as it will only block the first instance and not negate it totally.

##Mid Game

Evaire becomes more potent with the mid-game, as she is able to really start doing damage once she hits her power spikes with item such as Manamune and Black Cleaver. Able to pursue enemies across vast distances, Evaire is able to also dodge their returning fire, while in teamfights, is able to deflect attention from herself with apt use of Mirage Assault. In a won teamfight, she is able to chase down stragglers with Evasive Maneuveurs, Lock-On and Disjunction, while in a lost fight, is capable of remaining alive and chipping at the enemy life-pools. Correctly evading targets to ensure that CC and enemy burst damage can be negated by Disjunction and Phase Capacitor is extremely important to playing Evaire effectively as she is otherwise a short-mid range squishy caster, who must depend on these tools to stay alive.

##Late Game

Evaire is still fairly powerful during the late game, with her kit allowing to become a fairly powerful duelist, suiting her to either split-pushing or picking off enemy MVPs. Her first priority in this case is to land a full-channel of Lock-On on a priority target, as that will either allow her to cripple a target, or remove them outright from a fight. Evaire still benefits most from teamfights that occur in lane, as the Fog of War heavy layout of the jungle makes it easy for her to lose sight of her target. Using Mirage Assault to maintain vision of a target, or even to distract enemies is still very effective, though Evaire may also opt to use it in order to split her damage between two targets. Evaire is still remarkably slippery, able to expend valuable enemy cooldowns at little cost to herself, allowing for more risky plays on her part.

#Closing Thoughts

Another one of my fun concepts. Like my previous concepts, this one also went through a few iterations, but I felt that she was easier to make than Shira. Quite a few of the pieces just started falling into place once I had a good idea of who she was and how she was going to play like. Above all though, I hope you enjoy it!

Hey there! I'm going to do a full rundown of your champion, because I see you've put a lot of work into this concept and I wanna see it get somewhere.

PASSIVE Umm, I like the passive, but sorry to say this, it's already been done. Pantheon has this passive, but it's much weaker than yours. Pantheon has to cast spells in order to get his aegis, but you simply move around, and you dodge any instance of damage rather than basic attacks. So, we're gonna need to make this passive unique to your champion.

My suggestion: I really like this passive, so i'm going to do a small rework here. How about once you reach full charges, the next instance of damage will cause you to stealth for 1 second and gain a small boost of speed? That'll help give your champion a defining characteristic rather than be lumped in with Pantheon.

Q ABILITY I don't really see the functionality of this ability. If you're going for a mobile champion, why give them a channel and immobilize them? If you wanted to make this cast while moving, I can see it being extremely OP, as well as being equivalent to Swain's ultimate. So I'm going to propose a new way to gain the "lock on" mark. Let's instead shift this champion to an assassin because I really want to pair the high mobility with high amounts of burst damage like a normal assassin, because sustain damage is normally countered by getting away from them, but if you give the sustain champion mobility, that's sort of hard to do.

My suggestion: Let's make this an enhanced basic attack that will instead fire a straight line skill shot that marks the target with "lock on" and applies any on-hit effects like sheen. This will make a great tool to pair with lich-bane and give your champion a good source of damage, plus its a skill shot so its not simply point and click. I made it pair with a basic attack with increased range so that it is predictable (and I don't think there's an ability that changes a basic attack into a skillshot, so its unique), unlike Ezreal's Q which is highly unpredictable and extremely bs. This will allow a lot of counterplay for the enemy, balancing out this ability and allowing it to have a large amount of scaling or base damage.

W ABILITY I like the mobility that this ability offers as well as the damage component, but I don't see the need for 2 projectiles. Just have only 1 projectile and increased damage, it creates a more readable situation and consistent results. (basically readable damage and prediction). Also, let's remove the slow, because locked on slows are op. I'll explain this later on.

My suggestion: Not much to change, like I said 1 projectile with the average damage of the 2 bolts, and removing the slow.

E ABILITY I really don't see the need for another mobility ability, this is sort of unnecessary. Your champion's massive mobility comes from his W, which is on a relatively short cooldown. It's like giving Yasuo a blink... that would be op.

My suggestion: Like I said, I would explain the removal of the slow. I'm going to put the slow onto your E ability. Let's somehow implement this into your mobility kit. You could have another skill shot ability. Not going to suggest much here, I'll leave this up to you.

R ABILITY Extremely unique, but complicated as well, you don't need that many components to an ability like this haha. I like the idea of the second cast being able to cast your own abilities, but this would be extremely hard to micro. The first cast seems sort of unnecessary because its mitigating your damage, which is your main weakness. Let's not do that. Instead, we are trying to create high-mobile situation as well as a high-burst ability.

My suggestion: Spawn the 2 clones at once, leaving 1 less spellcast, during this whole time you are stealthed, and you can control both of the clones (i'll let you figure out how to do that). This is where it really changes, you will then be able to teleport to either clone, taking its place and dealing damage in an area around your arrival point. I think this is a much more useful spell, and also a lot less complicated. In a way this is similar to Ekko's ultimate, but at the same time it isn't. I'll give you room to change here.

Overall, your champion is very interesting. It has a lot of micro skills involved in controlling it. So, let's instead shift this champion into an assassin, because I feel that the gameplay is much more rewarding that way. My goal here was to create a combo-chain reliant champion that can become extremely successful if pulled off right. This allows lots of counter play, but a huge reward for pulling off your Q skill shot and your R clones. You will also need to be mindful of who and who cant reveal you while stealthed.

Nice lol Dota 2 Icons

jacktjong1/18/2016, 3:39:22 PM2 votes

This champion seems very nice. It's very worked out, and I love the splash art. 1 Porblem though... I'd like to see a little more utility added. The only thing she has right now is mobility, and that can be shut down real fast by CC. Also, her passive is somewhat utility, but nearly nothing, since it can be brought down by litterally anything. Hell, even a minion could bring this down.

Maybe set a damage minimum on it, so it only triggers by heavy damaging abilities, and you will be able to sustain assassins more if you make it that it triggers for like 1.5 seconds, and that youre untargetable for that duration instead of dodging the first damage dealt. Also add some more damage output to her ult, since right now it seems like a weird version of shaco's ult + Q...

How are all your concepts so ffing awesome x.x I'm gonna give it a full feedback, but I have a few questions before i go over the whole thing first.

1, How d'you get those stats with the bars? Like: Attack ■■■■■■■■□□ - [8] Defense ■■■■□□□□□□ - [4] Ability ■■■■□□□□□□ - [4] Difficulty ■■■■■■■□□□ - [7]

How does that work? What do they mean? I want to upgrade my concepts aswel and I really like the way you do yours. I just don't get this part...

2, Are you gonna enter the CCOS this month aswel? If so then maybe could you take a look at my own entry for this month? :D It's Scorn, The Infused I'd really like some feedback on him....

Like i said, full feedback is coming, i just wanted to aska few things :)

Okay, this concept is really cool. And I honestly don't think that this is one I can really nit-pick on too much either. Nicely done!!!

It's a really well-thought and nice champ concept but.. what's her theme?? I really can't tell at all.

Amazing

The Q damage seems a bit absolutely ridiculous. At level 9 (assuming she maxes Q first) she deals at least 680 damage per Q before resists. That is with no items and assuming all of the bolts are blocked on the way (1360 if not blocked). That seems a bit ridiculous, so you might want to tone it down a notch. Especially since each of those 20 bolts will also proc Muramana.

I am very impressed with the concept but i think you ment AP caster since her roles are Mage/Assasin. And it's a little bit of a second Ezreal wich can also performs those kind of things. And now i looked even closer to the picture i noticed it isn't a female/human but is more likely a crocodile/salamander man kind of nature

Hey! Here are my thoughts on Evaire, The Rogue Mirage! ^_^

AD Caster?:

Passive: I play a lot of Ahri and I feel like i would probably feel like throwing my laptop out of the room if I ever played versus this champ(Not calling it bad just frustrating). I'm not a big fan of the passive, the only counterplay of it I feel is hit a skillshot and and then kill her when it's down while one of my abilitites are down other than that there's no way to get around the passive. Also I think going invulnerable at 20% and recharging her passive is too much, like how do you kill her? If I played Ahri against her and somehow got the passive down and comboed her it she would probably barely live it and get the invulnerability and just pop Q in my face and kill me. And this applies to many mages like how are most of them going to deal with her?

Q: While I understand there are ways to counterplay it I'm not a big fan of a point and click lock with that much damage. Urgot had a similar thing with his E and Q and Riot had to trash him becasue he was being too oppressive. This has the potential to deal up to 1250 base damage in four seconds and if you don't walk into an unwarded bush something is taking that damage at a range of up to 1000. i think the damage is simply too much for a normal ability, if you are under tower with no minion you are good as dead if she Qs you.

E: Actually a pretty cool concept though it might create a few polarizing matchups? Think of poor Veigar.

R: I think three casts might be a bit much:/ I kind of think it's a tad overloaded, maybe take away the first cast?

Overall: Overall I think she's too safe: she has invulnerability, ability to auto dodge skillshots on a short CD I believe?, two dashes, a cloak and a built in clone and she can swap places with said clone, and the ability to destroy point and click projectiles. Yes she doesn't do a lot of up front damage and most stay alive for a long time to get meaning full damage out but is this really a fun champion to play against? Look at blue Ezreal, he has the worst up front damage of all ADCs but he's up there as the safest, this is probably just me but i find blue ezreal an absolute pain to play against. What do you do against him? He's spams AOE slowing Qs from afar and f you get close he blinks away.

While Evaire is safe for completely different reasons I don't think a champion this safe will ever be a fun experience to play against, have you ever had fun playing against blue Ezreal? In my opinion I think you should cut down on her safety, create an exposable weakness but give her more ways to go on the offensive.

Anyway here were my thoughts on Evaire, The Rogue Mirage. Could you do me a favor? I originally was going to judge this CCOS, I scrapped two concept ideas I had so i didn't think I would make it in time but I managed to squeeze this out in time. It's still a WIP so I would love it if you could take a look and tell me your thoughts, thanks! ^_^

Also how did you get those lines in between abilities?

Ehkrickor1/21/2016, 12:06:49 PM1 votes

your concept is unbelievably well done.

I did have a thing about the passive though and i will probably come back and look over it again after work or on one of my days off. Anyway here is my idea,

I think that the passive is a bit to strong for a champion that is supposed to be squishy. I think that I have a compromise between the safety build into her passive and the power level her passive currently holds, Passive: Evaire builds charges as she moves,(1 per 100 units+10% of move speed_{so if her Dash travels 150 units and she has swiftness boots she would generate 40 with her dash alone 1 for traveling 100 units plus 39 from her move speed}, Then when she would be hit by any projectile spell (any spell blocked by Windwall or Braum shield) the damage is diffused by those stacks(1 for 1)_ with any remaining damage being dealt normally, there is no maximum on these stacks When Evaire looses more than 10% of her health from a single damage instance she refreshes her E and generates 100 stacks

I think that this makes her both more vunerable to a well executed gank but less vulnerable to her lane partner as at lvls 2/3/4 she could easily have enough stacks to absorb all 3 fireballs from Ahri's E with her blink moving her out of the way ofAhri's other spells while pushing her passive stacks even higher. Meanwhile Ahri needs to keep harassing her to keep Eveire's stacks down before she gets out of hand... However if Eveire DOES get out of hand all is not lost as Rengar or an ADC can deal damage as Basic attacks get around the ability blocking passive. It also makes her stronger in early aggression when she has a distinct survivability advantage against ability focused damage dealers like Ahri , Talon , Ziggs ,Xerath but gives those people a chance to catch up if they can drag the game out longer when damage enough to overcomee Eveire's passive stacks becomes easier to come by... IF they can hit her.

ModEchoing1/25/2016, 11:11:36 PM1 votes

If she looks half as good as the pic, she looks great.

It's a neat thematic there, but the kit is ridiculous. Notably, there's no way to actually get rid of her passive at full stacks short of burning a skillshot, making her impossible to duel in lane. Meanwhile, her W may as well be on half cooldown always because of its lock-on effect...which is going to happen when she right-clicks you, then she gets to jump around everywhere while hitting you.

Her ult is a miserable mess of complications. How is anyone supposed to figure out how this thing works, friend or foe? There's copies of yourself, which are doing damage to people, but it's okay you can blow up the first one, except not the second one, but you can blink to the second one...

How would you even defeat this champion in lane? Like, really, think about that for a moment. If you can't beat your champion at all, the champion's not working.

I love this concept, especially with the added visuals to really feel her. I can feel how troll-y she would be to go against with all the jukes. She seems a bit overpowered though.

Baransu1/26/2016, 3:32:11 PM1 votes

Awesome lore, well written - and paints a picture of the champion. Nice job.

Your passive is interesting. You say it ignores a skillshot - does that mean that things like targeted abilities still affect her? The skillshot ignore might need some changing - simply because there are times when you are trying to block a skillshot for your teammate - it would be really frustrating to not be able to turn of your passive and watch your teammate die. I like the other component to the passive, with the untargetable near death bit - but that is almost strong enough on its own to be a passive if it was on a little shorter cooldown. If you can find some way to make the first part into an active, I think it would be great.

Really cool Q ability. Pretty heavy zone control, but counterable by losing vision. If she walks over the drone to pick it up, does her drone cooldown refresh? If more than one enemy is target locked, does the drone shoot at all of them in its radius? Or just the one? You said it's shots penetrate units, so they are like skillshots that damage things in line with its shots?

I think your W could use some work with its synergy on the Q passive (lock on). You said they are hit with energy bolts no matter the distance they are from you when you roll - if they are locked on. The W has an 8 second cooldown, which could be brought to 5 seconds. The lock on stays active for 4 seconds, and any damaging ability reapplies lock-on - so a player could very nearly stay locked on indefinitely and just keep rolling and zapping a distant player with no ability to counterplay. I think the best fix would either be to lengthen the cooldown of W, or shorten the duration of Lock on.

Your E seems focused a bit too hard on only a few champions. The only champions I can think of with Lock-on abilities are... Caitlin, Karma, Leblanc... Vi... I think that's it. Having an ability that counters that few champions seems underwhelming. I would change it to just cancel all incoming targeted projectiles (or if this is what it does, fix the wording so its more clear). This would cancel incoming autos, a pantheon Q, anything that is not a skillshot. Good call on the long cooldown, I would make it even a few seconds longer, since she already has the Dash on her W.

Her Ult is tricky, but I REALLY dont like that it can silence her for 1 second. The only self-silencing ability in the game Is rumble's passive (I think) , and that is controllable because you can manage your ability output and it wont happen. Additionally, the silence comes with a HUGE auto attack buff to rumble for the duration. The way your ability is set up right now, she is an ADC which would be subject to focus from assassins and others who would try to burst her down in a teamfight. Your first mirage would silence you immediately (even if it wasnt the thing being attacked, since it soaks your damage) if you were burst down by a zed or rengar combo - sealing your fate for the small remainder of HP and giving you no opportunity for clutch counterplay or escape plays to which her kit is geared. If you are set on the silence component, think of a buff to add to it so it doesnt make players never want to use her ult in a fight.

Great concept in all, I like the idea of a more slippery, tricky playstyle on an ADC. Well done. Looks like this is a popular one for review haha - dont tilt!

Lore - I really enjoyed reading the lore and was intrigued all the way through, and I felt that i truly new the champion and her personality. I would love to see and animation or music video for this.

Passive - The stacking passive that allows the next ability to pass straight through her is a very cool unique ability, however I 100% agree with Baransu, that it would become annoying not being able to turn the passive off for when you need to block a skillshot for an ally. The second part of the passive is a nice passive to have, allowing for some clutch moments and great outplay potential.

Q - This ability is super cool and creative and gives a lot of power. You could tunnel way to hard and get the passive stacks to fall off, and is extremely rewarding to get all 5 enemies with this.

W - I also really like this ability as it has good synergy with her Q. It become a high risk high reward ability that allows you to get Q passive on a lot of people, but means that she has to use her mobility to get in, rather than to escape.

E - It is just a basic blink that destroys the all targeted projectiles on her. This seems like it would be the best ability to replace the passive with to allow the player to choose when to use it. I also don't like this blink with her W available. It makes the high risk high reward ability have a lot less risk, as she could just instantly blink away back to her original position.

R - I feel like you made this overly complex ability because it was overly complex. I like the idea of cloning herself multiple times and allowing for some cool plays, but I personally don't like it.

I can see you put a mountain of effort into this concecpt, and can't wait for the next one. I swear i've read one of your champions before, but correct me if im wrong.
