Critical Strike & ADC Items - Rebalance Ideas

Critical Strike & Marksmen Rebalance: Marskmen are supposed to be exceptionally weak early game, but very strong late game. They should have very high DPS, but poor defensive stats to conpensate. Currently marksmen are too powerful early to mid game, but then also very powerful late game, this is caused by their items being too cheap, preferably critical strike items. Here are some of my ideas to fix these issues:

  • Critical Strike: If a champion has 50% critical strike chance, every other basic attack will always critically strike, while the basic attacks in between never does. (Critical strike is now a little bit more based on strategy rather than luck)

  • NEW Item: Doran's Dagger Cost: 450g +10% Attack Speed UNIQUE Passive: Killing a lane minion restores flat health and grants additional gold. Note: Great starter item for ADCs and other farm heavy champions.

  • Essence Reaver Cost lowered from 3400g to 3200g Critical Strike Chance increased from 20% to 30% REMOVED: UNIQUE: +10% CDR REMOVED: UNIQUE: Gain 0% - 20% (based on critical strike chance) additional cooldown reduction. This bonus does not include the critical strike chance given by this item. (No longer grants CDR, is now mainly a critical strike chance and mana sustain item for those in need of it) Note: CDR should be more of a DPS Mage and Tank stat.

  • Infinity Edge Cost lowered from 3400g to 3200g REMOVED: No longer grants flat critical strike chance NEW - UNIQUE: Your current critical strike chance is increased by 67%. (You now only need three critical strike items to get maximum critical strike chance) (Phantom Dancer + Infinity Edge: 50% Critical Strike Chance) (Phantom Dancer + Infinity Edge + Stattik Shiv = 100% Critical Strike Chance) Note: This is to compensate for the increased price on all critical strike items built from Zeal.

  • Phantom Dancer from 2600g to 3200g

  • Stattik Shiv from 2600g to 3200g

  • Artillery Cannon Name changed from Rapidfire Cannon from 2600g to 3200g

  • Runaan's Hurricane from 2600g to 3200g

  • Berserker's Greaves Gold increased from 1100 to 1200 (300g + 300g + 400g (+200g Combine Cost)) Recipe changed to: Boots of Speed + Ruby Crystal + Dagger Attack speed bonus lowered from 35% to 25% NEW: +150 health Note: Berserker's Greaves is now an item mainly for bruisers, because an item named "Berserker's Greaves" doesn't really fit an ADC.

  • NEW Item: Rapidfire Boots Cost: 1200g (300g + 300g (+600g Combine Cost)) Recipe: Dagger + Boots of Speed +40% Attack Speed. Note: Rapidfire Boots are an offensive version of Berserker's Greaves, mostly meant for ADCs.

  • Before Re-balance: A full marksman build costs around 15 000g.

  • After Re-balance: A full marksman build costs around 17 000g.

Note: You might not agree with all these changes, but you get the idea.

Crit chance definitely needs changes but I think a better way would be to take Ashe's passive (not the slow part) and apply it to every champion. Of course this would take a huge amount of time to balance since so many champions would be affected by it but I think that would be the best way to do it.
