Soul-reflecting mirror

This is my idea for a new item for AP support and any AP caster who want an easier time fighting obnoxious assassins.

                       Soul-reflecting Mirror
  • Fiendish Codex item 3108 + Catalyst of Aeons item 3010 + 300G = 2300G

  • +60AP +250 HP +300 mana +10% CDR

  • Passive- Penetrative light: Gain item 3341 sight within 250 range radius. Increase to 600 range if not moving for 1.5s, persist for 0.5s after moving.

  • Active- Reflection: Grants Stealth and a decaying 40% bonus movement speed for 2s for an ally or yourself. The Stealth is removed if the target takes or deals damage. Create an illusion at the target's original location that mirror every action the target is doing (abilities, movements) for 3s. The illusion is invulnerable but targetable. The illusion is fake and its actions have no effect. (120s cooldown).

  • +As a support: u can destroy wards item 3340 and traps easier, and possibly spot stealth champs. A Teemo Teemo pink ward is a good idea too. U can also hide urself or ur carries like a boss. Health, mana, CDR are perfect stats for any sp +As a carry: this item provides a better escape than a Zhonya item 3157 , as u dont have to be a sitting duck that will probably be killed anyway when the effect end. Some extra health and mana would cretainly help you survive longer, along with some CDR to boot. +As a tank or bruiser, the item 3341 sight allow you to stop any sneaky assassins to murder your backline, so you can still buy this item even though the stats are not as optimal +As an assassins: u already know what it is :)). I will create a version for assassins later [slayer-jinx-wink]

This is probably the most compelling item idea I've seen (so far) for the item contest. In terms of power and usability:

  • the passive true sight is comparable, but obviously superior to the "blackout" passive from Duskblade. I've always wanted to use that passive when playing as support, but it just isn't viable to build. Giving either the Blackout passive, or an adjusted (weakened) version of thie one you have listed would be a much appreciated change for many supports and mages. (probably with a unique passive sharing the name with Duskblade, so as to reduce jungler abuse)
  • The active is similar to a Leblanc clone or a Wukong clone. Using it for yourself seems like a great idea. using it on an ally seems like it could fail 90% of the time, since it would either have to disable their auto-attack, or be broken the first time they use it. either case is going to be something a marksman hates, so I suggest just having it self-target.
  • As always, the barest suggestion of a stealth effect points out the lack of ways to deal with stealth in the current League of Legends climate. Providing such options is probably a necessary step at some point in the approaching future.
  • Pairing Stealth with bonus MS is, as others have mentioned, a sure way to make this defense-oriented item into an offensive one.

I agree with the delicacy around Stealth. Indeed it is a mechanic that is Feast or Famine, either too weak or too strong. Therefore, I tuned it down a bit.

250 range is incredibly small and true sight will do nothing in that radius when Rengar's leap has 625 range. Also, assassins will already be on top of you within 250 units.

10% magic pen doesn't fit on a support item. And change to 10% CDR; 20% is too much.

Overall the item has like 3-4 things that don't mesh with each other, try to make all the components of the item link together. i.e. the active should be something anti-assassin.

This seems more like a support item; the true sight will screw up the vision game completely, considering it's a permanent Oracle's Extract. This turns any Jungler that can build it into a nightmare. The effect is strong, as well; Lux's first and original W was similar to what it is now, except that it gave stealth to any allies struck. This can become a nightmare, considering you could put stealth on a high-burst champion without stealth, such as an AP Nunu. Invisible AP Nunu ultimate sounds pretty scary-- this stealth lasts for 2 seconds, and Nunu's channel is 2.5 seconds, which gives him enough time to get most of the damage. ALSO on the topic of Nunu, he's a bulky Jungler who benefits from AP. This would become core for him, as well as Nautilus (stealth into the middle of the enemy team's backline and Q their carry without warning), Diana (suddenly appear and pop the backline WITHOUT WARNING), Gragas (suddenly appear and ult WITHOUT WARNING), and you could probably even carry this on Kennen if you're feeling roam-y, since he already likes to Flash and ult in WITHOUT WARNING. Literally any Jungler that benefits from having these stats and showing up without warning. Stealth is already a touchy mechanic to play around, and giving it to a massive variety is scary. There are champions who don't have stealth for a reason. It'd be no fun to play against an invisible Annie.
