Experimental Name: Vincent the Shadow or just The Shadow (up for change) I was thinking that there could be an undead pirate (though he probably wouldn't show his skull), from the Shadow Isles, or a powerful - used - to - be [1]explorer / [2]past pirate

Lore Ideas: The most important thing (in my opinion) for character development is the backstory and identity of the character. The spells would reflect these key features. As such; what is a pirate? The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word, pirate is "Yarr! Scurvy! Scallywags!" But unfortunately apparently there aren't enough dead pirates, and dead pirates would be less than unlikely to have been inflicted with scurvy. (See, Gangplank, Spell W; pg. 420) But something that an undead pirate can be is mean as a snake. He could be [2] a pass pirate (see Vincent the Shadow; Gangplank's father) and still be a god-darned scallywag. amiriite?

The reason why I chose him to be dead is because there aren't any champions that so clearly and openly use the power of undeath to serve their own bidding; Amumu just wants friends, Karthus went dead-crazy, Hecarim is the Herald of the Shadow Isles, hence he is serving the Shadow Isles and not his own personal benefit. Kallista is salty, Elise the religious one, Maokai is salty, Yorick is a momma on a mission, Nocturne is also very salty, (insert someone here, then someone who is salty) you get the point. But no one just comes out of the grave and says, "I'm dead. Let's complete that bucket list" or "Now that I'm back, let's make some bank." The closest person is Mordekaiser, whose role even then is fuzzy. Fuzzy like the fuzzy cuffs that Caitlyn always forgets because her memory is horrible. Heck, even Azir went butt-mad, and he was never even associated with the Shadow Isles in the first place.

So, on with it:

Idea [1]: Explorer This champion can be an explorer just cause. Oh wait, nevermind. Ahem This champion can be an explorer because a captain of a ship can often times have the same qualities of a pirate once they've been at sea long enough. How else are you going to get things done? You catch someone off guard, you bite their legs like at snake and laugh at them as their entire body composition dissipates because of your toxins. But no. But yes, you would make them do work. He could become associated with the Shadow Isles because it'd make sense: He becomes all pirate-y from being at sea for a long time, and facing pirates constantly. Finally, he'd find the Shadow Isles, an empty space then, and claimed it as his own. Being a captain of the ship, of course you'd have a sword. You need to kick some ass. (Refer to Book 1: Pirating: The Do's and Don't's, Page 42) "Excerpt: Kick some ass or kick your own bunghole when you see Davie Jone's Locker." Eventually, such a kingdom would fall, and with that blade, item 3153 would be born. OH SHT connection to current possible lore.

Idea [2]: Pirate This man was really Vincent the Shadow, and after dying, came back to take revenge on his kid. First thing he'd say is "Ye bastard! Dare ye shoot yer own pops? -ungrateful scallywag! to the depths ye go!"

Ideas [1] and [2] together: They both could use the power of the Shadow Isles for their own personal value and still have it true to their identity as whatever.

Spells: They would focus on being fearsome (not like Terrify, more like intimidation) and having a presence as a pirate. I would imagine some sort of power on the river, so you when you scallywags see that Deadpool incoming, you best run. amirite. He would also be empowered in the sense that he would have less friction collecting the munnies for the undead hunnies.

Passive: Mean as a Snake the Shadow would have little friction in killing minions for money. As such, he has an automatic execute, "BUT THAT'S OP!" Wait one se- "OP! OP OP!" WAIT. Think about it. He cannot control his executions. He is more prone to pushing lane. "But it takes away from Zed's passive!" Aye, but Zed can use his % damage on champs and jungle monsters.

Details: Bonus damage to lane minions: 5/10/15/20/25% (1/6/11/16/18) Execution border: 50% health Bonus gold: +0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5 per minion, (1/6/11/16/18)

First Ability: Duel the Shadow is an expert at dueling. As such, he would have the perks of being such.

Passive: if the Shadow auto attacks a champion within 0.5 seconds during or after it hits him, the Shadow will deal bonus damage. This is meant to be increased damage, but not free damage, since he would need to have to pull of something for it.

Active: the Shadow and an enemy or neutral unit are taunted to each other for one auto attack. if the Shadow deals more damage, the other unit is terrified and the next auto attack will critically strike for 200%. If the Shadow deals less damage, his next auto attack will critically strike for 150%. Passive Bonus Damage: 10 (champion level) + 10% of bonus AD as physical damage over 2 seconds. Active terrify duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds Active terrify slow: 20/30/40/50/60% Cooldown: 7 seconds

Second Ability: Burning Flames of the Isles Since the last ability retained to the normal pirate, what about an undead perk? the Shadow deals bonus damage over time in an area on his next 3 auto attacks (damage stacks up by 50% of the last damage on the same target) Damage: 40/70/100/130/160 +40% bonus AD over 5 seconds Cooldown: 5/4.5/4/3.5/3 seconds

Third Ability: Wrath The last two abilities focused on one thing. This is a mixed up one! Passive: The corpses of the lane minions around the Shadow will stay around and glow green for 3 seconds. (Not visible if the Shadow is not in vision range) Active: the Shadow drains the souls of both team's minions and heals per minion. Additionally, if there are more allied minions, deal bonus damage on the next auto attack, as well as for every other ally. If there are more enemy minions, take less damage on the next hit it takes as well for every other ally. Heal amount: 2/5/8/11/13 per minion Bonus damage: 10/15/20/25/30 +10% of the Shadow's bonus AD Reduced damage: 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% less damage Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7

Ultimate Ability: Land ahoy! No one can forget the ship! the Shadow channels. After the channeling, the Shadow summons a huge ship. The ship is controlled by R or the Alt + Click command, similar to Tibbers. The Ship deals damage on its own.

Channel time: 3/2.5/2 seconds, -1 second if he is near the river. Boat size: 200 by 300 units / 250 by 350 units / 300 by 400 units Damage per hit: 100% of the Shadow's AD Cooldown: 96/84/70/

That's all for now folks! Thanks for reading and don't forget to comment and vote on the poll! All critique is welcome but remember that everything here is simply in test / experimental form and is subject to change!
