Welcome to the May Monthly Champion Creation Competition for 2015! I am your host, of course, Kamiroo Wolf! As always this will be a four week competition where you create a champion(based off of this specific MCCC) to see who can create the best champion concept within(in this competition's case) very few guidelines.

Schedule: 1st-15th=Entry. After this time you cannot enter, but feel free to Stick around and watch the fun! 16th-21st=Work on concepts, of course. Won't mess up schedule this time! 22nd-24th= disqualification of champions who lack Lore, Ability, or Gameplay Section 25th-31st= JUDGING :D

Theme)

“It would seem...it is beginning..." Vishas stands, arms crossed, atop the face of a mountain. Below him, he stares down what remains of the Institute of War: rubble, and nothing more. The only force keeping the peace of this world, now decimated by the hand of Armageddon. The totem's on Vishas' back fluctuate with magical energy and the staff, which sits stabbed into the rock beside the shaman, pulses with just as much distaste as Vishas.

Now isn't the time to be dozing off, shaman, Vaiya's words echo in his mind. The omniscient spirit is right, of course. Vishas unfolds his arms and yanks his staff from the earth binding it. Without a second thought, he is walking down the opposite side of the mountain. The spirit within him tells him that there are loyal followers awaiting his arrival in Ionia, and the shaman is wise enough to not question his spirit. The travel is short, and merely feels like hours to Vishas, who is much too busy contemplating his next move to focus on the scenery around him as he is carried through the air by Vaiya's strength.

“Ahimoth has managed to decimate this world's greatest power in mere minutes. If the destruction of the Institute of War truly was his doing, then we're going to need immeasurable amounts of manpower to stop him. For once...I have no idea what I am up against." The shaman's words are crest-fallen and forlorn. He barely notices as his body lands gently just beside a waterfall located in Ionia's Placidium.

You possess a will and determination unlike any other, Vishas. I am confident that with the aid of our newest allies, we can amass the force we need to defeat Armageddon's incarnate, Vaiya's voice echoes in his mind before the shaman snaps back into reality. The tan, tattooed man rises slowly to his feet and takes in the beautiful view of the Placidium. One must take in the beauty of a land before it becomes a battlefield. Far in the distance, 3 individuals stand shoulder to shoulder staring at their oddly dressed captain.

"Perhaps I should have worn something a tad more formal?" Vishas quips as he starts toward his new lieutenants.

“Eos, an expert swordsman born here in Ionia and all-around hand-to-hand combat expert with unrivalled talent in various martial arts. Sol, the sharpshooting twin sister of Eos with a fascination for long distance battle and a proficiency for ranged warfare. And finally, Kaizer: a young medic straight from the field in the Demacian army. Quite the shot with his small pistol, but his real talent lies within his expertise with medicines and first-aid. Kid also said to be a tactician wise enough to rival Swain himself." Vishas recites what Vaiya tells him as he addresses the three lieutenants before him. Around them, life present in the Placidium is oblivious to the imminent destruction it faces and continues on peacefully.

“We too have seen the visions, shaman. What Ahimoth seeks to wreak...we want to stop it just as much as you...*" Sol, a ridiculously(yet godly) curved woman with brass brown eyes and shoulder length black hair, beams. On her back, a blue assault rifle of sorts is strapped on and looks ready for use. Vishas weeps for the poor girl's back, which must support not only her rifle, but those gargantuan breasts. Oddly enough, Sol seems completely comfortable despite her...assets.

“If you're wondering how my sister can even stand then don't push yourself. It's a mystery everyone who knows her has been trying to understand ever since her teen years. Anyway, it would be safe to assume that Ahimoth is also amassing his own army...so what do we do?" Eos, a skinny but muscular man with steel grey eyes and messy black hair down to his ears, questions. On his back he carries a colossal sheath home to over a dozen different blades. What is it with these twins and their ridiculous equipment? Eos is exactly the same height as his sister, but it is clear that she...weighs...more.

“We think as one. One thing we can expect from Ahimoth's army is a question of leadership among it's ranks. True none of us have seen Ahimoth in person, but perhaps it would be safe to assume that his followers will question his power at times during the war. Rule by fear never works out for the authority in question, as history will show. We, however, will be different. We train our troops, connect with our troops, let them know they are valued and important. This way our leader, Vishas, is not in any way conspired against." Comes the response of Kaizer, a small and young boy who couldn't be a day of over the age of 14. He has matted dirty blond hair and pale green eyes that only further everyone's suspicion of him being too young for this fight. At his waist, a small pistol on the right and a green pack filled with medical supplies on his back. He wears simple a simple white dress shirt as well as khaki pants.

A motley bunch of individuals. Despite their appearances however, Vishas will make this work to the best of his ability. He nods and confirms their resolve with the aid of Vaiya's Judgement, and asks them where they can set up operations. Eos is the first to step forward, explaining that he and his sister live in a vacant temple not too far from the Placidium. This was not very strange. However, when Eos explained that the temple was atop a mountain, Vishas nearly gawked and stared at Sol. How is it this woman can even walk, let alone climb a mountain every day?!

“H-How convenient...and don't worry about gathering members. All who are destined to join us have already seen a vision of their own." Vishas responds.

In the first day alone, over two hundred citizens from all around Runeterra flock to the Placidium to join. One man by the name Leopold arrives wielding nothing but a stack of steel plates and dressed as a rather eccentric butler while another young boy arrives wielding nothing but a black jacket. Vishas just sighs and puts his trust in Vaiya.

Garen's veins become fueled with rage at the sight of his sister's lifeless body. Before the Might Of Demacia is Lux, run through by an unknown assailant. The duo had been investigating the ruins of the Institute Of War after the building was decimated by an unknown force. Garen had never seen so much destruction and desolation in his career as a Vanguard. As he and Lux readied to leave the site, however, an unknown assailant had ambushed them and incapacitated the rest of their party. It wasn't long before Garen and his sister were the final ones standing. Now, Garen stares down the man before him. Humanoid, about his height, more muscular, eyes fluctuating a red demonic aura, left arm normal, but right arm encased in an unbreakable purple substance forming the shape of a sword with large spines across the(well) spine of the weapon. As for the rest of the man's body, his skin has demonic red tone, the hair on his head is messy and nappy, and he is wearing armor made of the same substance his weapon is. The man swings his abnormal arm to the side and the limp body of Lux goes flying off with it into the dirt. Garen nearly shatters the earth with a rageborn roar before charging the enemy. In a flurry of steel, Garen barely manages to make contact with the man. His sword hits the normal arm of the assailant, only to become cracked. The man kicks Garen with a force that completely severes the Might Of Demacia's spine, killing him in an instant. Blood trickles down the lips of Garen, who just lands in the dirt not far from his lifeless sister. When he was kicked his sword was released from his hands and sent sky high.

“You will be the first of the new world. The name of your creator is Ahimoth." The man crows as he catches the Demacian's blade mid-fall with his normal hand. Ahimoth approaches Garen's lifeless body and slams the blade into his body before fading into a black mist.

Vishas, The Omniscient Shaman speculates that Ahimoth, the incarnate of Armageddon, has arrived on Runeterra. Wherever this apocalyptic threat is, he has already decimated the Institute of War as well as some of this world's strongest champions. Vishas has run out of time to gather followers his way and must now amass an army with the aid of his new lieutenants: Eos, Kaizer, and Sol. Create a story that describes your champion's drive to save the world they live in and what they can do to save it!

Lore Challenge: A war is brewing. One that will shape the very destiny of Runeterra. These are serious times. Vaiya has sent out visions that urge people to join the cause of Vishas and save this world from destruction. Create a story that tells what your champion saw in their vision, how they travel to Ionia, and what they can do.

The name of this game is weaponry and warfare!

Lore and Kit Challenges:

The main focus of this MCCC is unique weapons and abilities that will aid Vishas in his quest! There are no restrictions as to what your champion can do based off of where they are from. However, the type of weapon/the abilities of your champion will affect your lore slightly:

If your champion is melee and/or uses melee based abilities: They will be training with Eos, a master at hand-to-hand combat training.

Initiation Ceremony: “Show us what you got! Time to put up or shut up!" Thanks to Vishas' newest totem, the new order now has an abundance of live dummies to test their abilities and strength on. Time to out the rookies to work.

Your mission:

  • Defeat 100 live dummies that fight back with above-average(borderline)human strength. These warriors are pretty agile and won't hold back it would be best for your champion's training if they wouldn't hold back. THIS IS ONLY YOUR MISSION IF YOU ARE TRAINING WITH EOS.

If your champion uses firearms and/or uses range based abilities: They will be training with Sol, an expert marksman skilled with ranged warfare.

Initiation Ceremony: “You think you can call yourself a good shot? Not until I'm done with you." Wolf, the host of the Fool's Errand Scavenger Hunt, has graciously supplied the new order with shadow-based automatons to help raise our troops and train them in style!

Your mission:

  • Defeat 5 different shadow automatons without having a single one of them lay so much as a finger on you! Include this training into the lore of your champion. These shadow automatons have the ability to become untouchable for a short period of time and can travel through shadows at will! Be careful and just avoid being touched! THIS IS ONLY YOUR MISSION IF YOU ARE TRAINING WITH SOL.

If your champion uses magic and/or spell based abilities: They will be training with Vishas.

Initiation Ceremony: “Resilience is a virtue against an enemy with an abundance of power." Vishas recognizes that a good defense can very well be the best offense. That being said, Vishas will be releasing a barrage of magical spells on his trainees to raise their endurance and survivability!

Your mission:

  • Survive, dodge, and outlast a barrage of magic missiles, beams of arcane energy, etc. Include the ordeal into the lore of your champion! There is no limit to what kind of magic Vishas can use against you(because Kaladoun Marsh Diplomatic Immunity), so use your imagination and survive! THIS IS ONLY YOUR MISSION IF YOU ARE TRAINING WITH VISHAS.

Kaizer will be acting as the medic and will heal any of our allies that get fucked up during training.

Lore Rubric: Does your lore accurately display the functions of your champion, does it hit home and stir emotion, and how well is it written(or typed, I guess)? Since this is my only second MCCC, The rubric may be similar to my last. However, with this MCCC, The kit, ability synergy, and lore will critically affect your score just as much as balance and even more than creativity. Anyway, back on topic, here's some of the criteria regarding your entrant's lore:

Clarity-syntax does your lore have proper spelling and grammar?

Fluidity-does your lore flow well in story going from point to point and makes sense?

Theme- does your lore have a strong thematic approach?

Motivation- does your lore explain how they got their powers and why they joined this particular competition? Why does your champion exist?

Tone and mood- how does it read and does it inspire emotional or positive response? Does the reader like reading it?

Originality- is your lore original or unique? Does it keep the reader interested?

Lore is scored x/20 points.

Theme) Do the abilities and lore fit the overall theme?

Theme is scored x/10.

Lore Ability Synergy) Do your abilities reflect your character?

LAS is scored x/10.

Abilities/kit(and balance...don't forget balance) Rubric:

Is your champion balanced? Are they fun to play with, against, or as? Is your champion's kit unique, or different from existing champions'? How are the character's mechanics? Are they clunky or confusing? Does the enemy have a way to fight back against your character? If not, then your entrant may need a mass rework.

Abilities/Kit are scored x/30.

Creativity) Is the champion creative and original, or is it at least an interesting take on something that has already been done/existed?

Creativity is scored x/15.

Kit Cohesion Synergy) Does everything in your abilities section work well together?

Cohesion Synergy is scored x/10.

[Note: The secret lore challenge will be worth x/5 points]

BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, EVERYONE, I JJST WANT TO STATE THAT THE TONE OF THIS MCCC IS SERIOUS, AND NO LONGER A GAME.

Even though this MCCC is more focused on your kit and abilities, I still want to see GOOD lore and originality. =-=

Nopatik5/1/2015, 12:39:29 AM2 votes

So i have this one champion idea, Terros, The Living Turret. When I came up with it, I thought it was original but then my brother showed me This which was a joke. So I'm not sure if it will count for the originality. P.S. I am working on a back up incase it doesn't work out

Kamiroo Wolf4/30/2015, 10:27:26 PM2 votes

A bit early, but who cares?

MORE TO COME!

OhthePiplup5/1/2015, 2:45:06 AM2 votes

Ill make a new, more serious concept. Sorry for miss understanding!

CRUSTY SEA MILF5/3/2015, 4:23:53 AM2 votes

I will not be late this time! I'm entering Veloras, The Terror Beneath. She's still a WIP and I won't be able to update her next week unless a miracle happens.

Lately I find myself lacking the emotional capacity to function, let alone complete this MCCC. I apologize sincerely for my lack of participation during this month, but I promise I will try my hardest in my current state to at least get us through it with the short and ebbing time we have left. Please bear with me...

Keagn4/30/2015, 10:39:27 PM2 votes

Interesting...Reserved for a Marksman. No faction challenges yet, or or those yet to come?

Kamiroo Wolf4/30/2015, 10:22:33 PM2 votes

“With all due respect sir, we've been far too idle thus far. Perhaps it would be best to make a move against Ahimoth's army." Kaizer suggests as he takes seat at a table with his fellow captains. Eos and Sol simply nod in agreement, while Vishas stands up from his seat just as Kaizer sits down.

“Do you all really believe they are fit to engage in combat with the enemy?" Vishas questions, drawing the outline of a new sketch for a new Totem with arcane energy emanating from his finger. Perhaps a totem meant for offensive purposes? Vishas has yet to determine it's function, he just enjoys the design.

“We, I especially, have rooted out most of the weaklings within our ranks. I'm pretty sure they are ready." Eos balances the tip of a broadsword on his finger as he rocks back in his creaky chair. Vishas looks to his sister for an opinion, but the well-endowed woman has no comment whatsoever. The Omniscient Shaman stops his artwork and walks out of the room for a short bit.

“Eos...Perhaps you overestimate your students. At least two of yours, Jigsaw and No Name, are clearly mentally unstable." Sol sighs in the absence of Vishas, shining her blue assault rifle.

Before Eos can respond to his sister, however, Vishas returns with a stack of files in his hand. “These are the targets we must eradicate. They each have a core responsibility and will play a significant future role in aiding Ahimoth's army." The shaman spreads out the files and one by one the other captains go over the targets.

“Though some of these targets...blatantly mismatch our recruits, I do like the idea of destroying foundation before it can be laid. A pre-emptive strike, one might say." Kaizer says flipping through a very specific profile.

“Indeed. I will also have every recruit take a portable totem that you three will be able to teleport to in the event of an emergency. We need the numbers we have." Vaiya's voice echoes across the room.

*“Shall we get to it then? Not like they will see us coming-well, at least...not ALL of them." Sol quips, staring at a specific file herself.

SECRET LORE CHALLENGE)

Vishas and Kaizer have agreed on a next move where their recruits will take on missions to isolate and assassinate members or potential members of Ahimoth's army. Everyone will be receiving a target, but whether or not you accept the mission is up to you.

Secret Lore Challenge is worth x/10 extra credit points!

Nopatik5/25/2015, 11:58:34 PM1 votes

Okay, I got the lore challenge done.

utDOOM5/30/2015, 9:20:20 PM1 votes

I'm gonna leave the contest. I don't have alot of time cause I'm getting close to my finals. Biggest thing, though, is that I don't have the motivation right now to write and develope this champion. I might come back and help with judging though. GL to everyone else! :D

Kamiroo Wolf5/30/2015, 10:11:08 PM1 votes

Yeah, sorry for my absence thus far. I'll begin judging right now. For those of you who did the extra credit, good job, but I won't be counting it as anything since not everyone got the assignment like I had promised(Sorry guys, I fucked up and I take full responsibility for butchering this MCCC). Though my mood has certainly improved the situation has not, but expect the results some time today or tomorrow.

Keagn5/31/2015, 9:56:55 PM1 votes

For those of you up for it, I should have the June MCCC up a tad early. Within the next few hours in fact. The time frame should be relatively the same, just providing the chance to jump at it a little early while I know I can. A two-day family camping trip has experienced a delay for an unknown amount of time, but when I do end up going I can still reach you all from a nearby lodge.

I'll be doing my absolute best to keep up with you all, and I'm really looking forward to it! REMEMBER , The June MCCC will in fact have involvement with the Rise of an Order storyline, just a bit different. The events will be parallel (more or less) with RoaO. Hope to see some familiar faces, as well as some new ones!

Keagn5/31/2015, 11:45:15 PM1 votes

Nice to hear ^_^ , I have everything but the story and challenges typed out. Beginning story is halfway done, but im making quick progress. Should be up very soon.

Keagn6/1/2015, 1:29:17 AM1 votes

High-ho, high-ho, the Legion has rose high ho.

Lord Ahimoth calls upon thee.

Keagn6/3/2015, 4:52:46 PM1 votes

^_^

Nopatik6/3/2015, 8:19:12 PM1 votes

Not to be pushy, but when can we expect results?

Keagn6/19/2015, 7:17:42 PM1 votes

I didn't realize it, but results never did come for the May MCCC.

10 way tie?!?!?!?

^_^

Tamur5/1/2015, 1:30:56 AM1 votes

I really want to sign up Xcedros but I got this feeling that any champion submissions have to be from this month

Nopatik5/24/2015, 10:14:28 PM1 votes

I have not received my opponent for the secret lore challenge yet, is there a reason for that?

ElementLlama5/25/2015, 1:58:13 AM1 votes

Popping my head out from being nowhere in particular, I'm happy to see these are still going on :3

Who is hosting the June MCCC, I'm thinking I might try for it.

utDOOM5/25/2015, 2:12:39 AM1 votes

Is it ok for me to only post part of my gameplay section? I'm gonna post changes to my champ tomorrow, so alot of the gameplay stuff won't make sense right now.

Tamur5/25/2015, 2:34:27 AM1 votes

added gameplay section and finished Lore

RocketRelm5/25/2015, 6:25:06 AM1 votes

Thankfully I was able to edit it in, but I realize a few hours later I maybe should have put the secret challenge also in a separate post, it's in the main post, so it should be fine, unless it can't be found.

Keagn5/25/2015, 7:55:18 AM1 votes

So i got 9/10ish of the challenge done, meant to get more but its been a busy day and I can't find the rhythm. Also finalizing the two possibilities for the June MCCC. I'd love to go along with the Rise of an Order storyline in a way, but that's up to Kamiroo. I got that idea fleshed out, but also beefing out another possibility if he doesn't want me stepping on his toes too much >:P
