Champion Concept: New Darkin Character.
Aatrox looks pretty lonely having none of his other four alive people being near him, I think that should be changed! The Darkin themselves are only five remaining with Aatrox, and so when I had the idea it was from looking over his lore, as well as the comments made on the Darkin page about many things. One of those was that Aatrox has a certain list of sentences he says where he puts Emphasis on many words at the end, such as Strife. Which is the keyword that I choose when Designing this character.
The characters name would be Aarchann, The Darkin Virtuoso. The reason She would be a Virtuoso is because I thought that for the Female Darkin, like Aatrox she strives for certain things and such, and what if where like Aatrox she thought of what she did as her art work, and masterpiece, but took that to a higher form. Her champion model would be similar to Aatrox, only more graceful in looks and designs. Her armor would be more sleek, and her wings would be larger, with trailing bladed tendrils that hang from them making them look more like tattered banners just like Aatrox's do. Her weapon would be a flexing halberd, that is able to bend partly either way but also to extend when she does certain attack animations, especially for her auto attack enhancer it would allow for a wide sweeping arc of a attack model.
Her colors would be similar to Aatrox's I would feel, since she also would share the theme for blood, destruction, and war, but more brightly done and with a certain highlight of a different color, like green or blue to hint at some areas to show off that she is the Virtuoso of Strife and pain for those she chooses to engage with. Her kit is designed very similar to Aatrox's, but with a different approach so she doesn't feel like a copy, but the similarities can be felt.
Her starting stats would be very similar to Aatrox's, but she would have slightly higher starting health, and armor. But less attack damage than he does, because of how her abilities as I will describe bellow will allow you to see she would need a bit of a higher amount of starting life and survivability.
Her passive is what makes it so she has the ability to have less starting and progressing of leveling auto attack damage, as it is called Artist of Pain. When ever a champion, enemy, self or allied takes a instance of damage Aarchann gains a charge, for each charge she gains a stack of damage and movement speed that lasts until it is consumed. The charges max out at 20 stacks, do not reset on death.
- Minions and neutral jungle creeps, or large monsters are only able to proc a stack of a charge every 20 seconds when she is nearby.
- Per stack at the early game she would only gain 1.5 damage per stack, and .5 movement speed, so at the early game she would be more on level with others if she has her 20 stacks to have 30 bonus damage and 10 movement speed.
- Later levels, 6, 11, 18. The stacks would increase, for damage by .5 or maybe eventually just 1 bonus damage, as well as increasing the movement speed just slightly enough for it to be felt like it is doing something for you.
- Similarly to Aatrox, she has no resource bar but instead uses health to cast her abilities, this would also proc her passives stacking for a charge. Giving her another instance to quicker gain charges.
Her Q would be Assemble of Torment, a short ranged flight based Dash. Like Aatrox's Dark Flight, she would be able to traverse terrain and small gaps with it, as well as be interrupted in the same ways. It would have a decently medium sized Aoe range for the impact, but upon impact it would deal a meager portion of damage to everything she hits with it as well as applying a slow. At 20 stacks of Artist of Pain, if consumed for this ability she then roots the enemies instead of slows when she impacts the ground, and deals a much higher amount of damage to them instead of the smaller amount.
- This would allow for her to have strong engagement, as her other ability also allows for a slow, and then if you are at 20 stacks the ability becomes slightly modified to allow for her to make for a stronger initializer.
Her W would be Bathe in Blood, Passively every two auto attacks her halberd cleaves out and in a crescent behind the initial target her damage is dealt in a cleaving portion towards those behind and besides it, this allows for her to have a stronger laning presence as well as clean up minion waves when she is trying to farm.
- At 20 stacks of her passive, if consumed for this ability when activated it would allow for her next cleave, and follow auto attack to have 150% life steal bonus, giving her moderate laning sustain to be able to bargain in with fights.
Her E is Sundering Lance, she sends out a skill shot ability of a blood lance, if it hits a enemy it will impale them to the floor dealing damage and slowing them heavy for the first half second and then slowly decreases over the next 1.5 seconds. The damage on impact is based on % of health missing on Aachrann.
- At 20 stacks of her passive, if consumed for this ability the skillshot will detonate when it hits a enemy, hitting nearby enemies as well each for a portion of the damage dealt to the original target.
Her R, or Ult is Mayhem, a point and click target ability that has a large cast ring. When used it will have her channel briefly for 1.5 second and then fire blood lances/missiles out of her body and towards the enemy champion targeted, if there are any other nearby enemies her ult will deal damage spread out amongst the enemies present, down to a minimum cap. Each Lance does X flat damage, and will deal bonus damage if all of the lances hit the enemy targeted.
- At 20 stacks of her passive the lances will do Aoe splash damage on impact, based on a % of the damage of impact, will also fire a additional X projectiles based on ranks in her ultimate.
This is the idea at least, any ideas or feedback on improvement will be greatly appreciated. Since the darkins seem to be LoLs version of demons(the classical ones with horns and wings and so on),I'd say that if you want to do a darkin,think what kind of demonic being they could be that isn't already in the game already.
