Made for the February MCCC Challenge (LUST) And the CCOS Competition!

Description: Spine is a melee fighter/assassin that deals big damage and has a fair amount of cc, but is only moderately tanky and isn't very mobile. In game, Spine would look like a humanoid cactus, 6-7 ft tall with long, spiked arms and legs and a skinny body. Brownish green color, with a dark, black face. Spine's theme is a desert cactus, but with a dark, vengeful twist.

**Stats: ** Health: 600-2200 Health Regen: 7-25 Mana: 300-1000 Mana Regen: 5-20 Range: 125 Attack Damage: 65-120 Attack Speed: 6.5+(0-45%) Armor: 30-90 Magic Resist: 32.1-53.4 Speed: 335

Passive: Exhausted Execution: Spine's basic attacks and abilities deal an additional 10% more damage to targets that are affected by any kind of cc, however, targets affected by any kind of cc also deal an additional 5% more damage back to Spine. This can stack up to 3 times if the target is affected by multiple types of cc, increasing both Spine's and the target's damage.

Reason: Spine's purpose is as a fighter, and this passive synergizes really well with his kit and theme of a vengeful cactus, allowing him to deal big damage to cc'd targets, but having counter play in that he will also take more damage from cc'd targets. It also allows him to synergize well with his teammates' cc.

Q: Thorny Misery: Cost 30/35/40/45/50 Mana Range: 500 Cool Down: 8 Seconds Spine extends a long, spiked version of his arm and stabs forward in a line, piercing all targets hit, damaging them for 30/60/90/120/150+ 60% total AD physical damage and slowing all targets hit by 30% for 1 second and applying a stack of Thorns to them. Basic attacks lower the cool down of this ability by 1 second each.

Passively Spine's basic attacks and Thorny Misery apply a stack of Thorns, dealing 1% of the target's max health in damage over 2 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

Reason: This is Spine's primary from of damage, allowing him a fair amount of damage, and a reason to auto attack. The damage over time complements his theme, and it gives him a form of stickiness that synergizes with his passive and basic-attacks very well.

W: Harsh Terrain: Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 Mana Range: Self Cool Down: 15 Seconds Spine summons a howling sandstorm around himself in a 600 radius circle for 6 seconds. Dealing 18/26/34/42/50+15% total AD magic damage each second to all enemies in the circle and slowing them by 20% while inside. While inside the sandstorms radius, Spine gains 10/20/30/40/50% increased healing and regeneration from all sources.

Reason: Harsh Terrain is similar to Trundle's Frozen Domain and Nasus's Spirit Fire, creating an area that is advantageous for dueling for the user. It combines the damage over time from Spirit Fire, but not the armor reduction and burst, with the increased regeneration from Frozen Domain, without the move speed and attack speed increase, but adds its own slow. This combines to make a unique ability that fits Spine's desert theme very well and creates a buff to help him in combat in certain situations.

E: Desert's Fury: Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana Range: 1000 Cool Down: 12 Seconds Spine sends out three spikes in a line, with a small delay after each spike, dealing 60/70/80/90/100+30% total AD physical damage per spike to the first enemy each spike hits. If all 3 spikes hit the same target, that target is rooted for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds.

Reason: This is Spine's only form of ranged damage or poke, allowing him to trade and potentially chase far away targets. The spike element fits his theme, and the ability has counter play because each spike can only hit one target and you have to hit all three to get the root, making this ability both necessary, fair, and fitting.

R: Oasis Mirage: Cost: 100/125/150 Mana Range: 500 Cool Down: 120/110/100 Seconds Spine summons a beautiful mirage depicting an oasis at the target location, lasting for 5 seconds. Enemies that come within 500 range of the mirage are charmed and walk towards it for 1/1.5/2 seconds, during which they cannot attack and are slowed by 50%.

**Reason: **There is no mirage element in league of legends, and there are also very few charms in the game. Oasis Mirage is a unique and theme fitting ability that provides a potentially multi-target, ranged charm that lasts for a substantial amount of time. This ability would be incredibly powerful in team fights to draw multiple enemies out of position for engaging, but in exchange, it has a long cool down and the ability itself doesn't deal damage, ally champions have to deal damage to the charmed targets in the window of opportunity it provides.

Alternate R: Spike Blizzard: Cost: 100/125/150 Mana Range: 1500 Cool Down: 100/90/80 Seconds Spine roots himself in place for up to 5 seconds (can be re-activated early to cancel this action and put the ability on cool down) and for the duration gains max (2.5) attack speed and 1375 range (1500 total). During this time Spine cannot move or use his abilities, but can auto-attack for full auto-attack damage and effects. Auto attacks are long range spikes instead of the usual attack with his arms.

**Reason: **This goes along well with his cactus theme and makes for an interesting rapid fire, machine gun seeming ability that is unique, but also goes along with the immobility of a cactus. This ability would make spine more of a damage dealing fighter, while the other would make him more of a utility based fighter, but both of which satisfy his theme and fighter role.

Lore: Long are the desert nights that sweep over the vast expanses of the Shurima Desert. Endless and dark, just like the stories of those who inhabit it. And above all else, dangerous. Tales have been told for centuries of the lost souls who enter the desert, searching helplessly for whatever they came for, and never returning. And even more eerie are the myths of what had killed them. Was it the lack of water, food, or energy? Was it the loneliness? Or worse, a monster? No one knows, save for those who watch: the predators of the desert. When a poor, lost soul dies in Shurima, they don't lie there for long. The humble, nocturnal predators of the desert sweep them up, and in a beautiful ceremony give them another chance at life. A chance for vengeance on those things that ailed them in their first life. A chance to see those they loved one last time. A chance to fulfill whatever they had left behind in their first life. Dark is the life of a desert predator. Spending an endless time doing whatever it is they want to do with their new life, but in the body of a monster. And as endless as the desert hills of Shurima, they spend an eternity finding purpose with this second chance. Waiting, and biding their time, continuing on the tradition of all the desert predators before them.

Among these gentle yet lethal predators was Spine. Shunned by those around him for various reasons, he turned and fled his Kumungu home for something better, and entered the Shurima Desert in desperate search to give his life meaning. But his rash and shortsightedness was his downfall, and as he lie dying in the scorching heat of the Shurima Desert, he swore should he ever get another chance at life, he wouldn't squander it. And thus, as night fell upon the vast expanses of sand surrounding him, the many desert predators began to emerge, taking Spine's lifeless body into a land only they knew. When Spine awoke, he had but one goal: to make good on his promise to not squander life. And thus, he went out once more in search of something to give his life meaning, which he found at the Institute of War. Spine was inducted as a champion, and has been making good on his promise ever since.

All things are subject to change and this concept was made for the LUST challenge of February's MCCC and the CCOS competition. link to feedback portion of CCOS. Any help or critique is appreciated!

Bubpedybump: This guy seems decent, He has lane control and gains bonus damage from champions who are disabled. I wonder though, are item 3022 or item 3144 ability’s and slows count on his passive?
