New Lore For Fiddlesticks
So the other day I realized Fiddlesticks' lore doesn't make sense anymore because summoners are gone. So, I used by sub-par writing skills to make him new lore using the basic template they've been using recently of a bio of their life/existence up until some point, and then a short story/poem about them. So without further ado, please enjoy and comment if you have any critique:
Fiddlesticks, the Harbinger of Doom The Voodoo Lands was a place of dark and strange magic even before the arrival of the Gray Order. It was that magic which drew the Gray Order in their quest for dark arcane knowledge, yet the creatures and beings already living there were so monstrous and horrifying that even the most powerful of the Gray Order could just barely hold back the attacks of the creatures that lived there. The creatures did not attack frequently, however, and few seemed to even try to overpower the sorcerers of the Gray Order, and as such a small colony was made there.
One such creature that battled against the Gray Order was known as Fiddlesticks. No one who has ever faced him has come back sane, the few the have been found were found had been driven mad with ear babbling of crows and darkness. Fiddlesticks' appearance near one of the small villages in the Voodoo Lands is thought by the locals to indicate oncoming doom, and no village has long prospered whilst he was near.
During those times when he stayed near the villages, he merely stood in the fields watching, silent and completely still. The only signs of life were the crows that constantly surrounded him. He is never seen doing anything to bring the doom that comes to these small villages, and yet destruction is always near him.
The one creature to have ever seemingly defeated Fiddlesticks is Tibbers the Shadow Bear. During a violent attack on the capital city, the defenses of the dark mages were failing and the creatures of the Petrified Forests in the Voodoo Lands were able to attack. If not for Annie the Dark Child, and her shadow bear Tibbers fiddlesticks may have destroyed the city. Fiddlesticks was seen in various locations during the attack, yet he was never seen to move and there was no explanation as to how he got to various locations without being seen to move. As he drew nearer and nearer to the city's central tower where the strongest mages worked Tibbers came charging and sent him flying over a rooftop into a dead end alley with a ferocious swipe of his paw. Though the alley was immediately searched, Fiddlesticks was no where to be found, and as soon as this was realized the attack ceased.
After this defeat Fiddlesticks has been reported more and more in other regions of Valoran than just the Voodoo Lands. It is feared that his defeat may have inspired him to attempt to spread his evil across all of Valoran, although why he would only choose to do this now is unknown. Few dare to mention Fiddlesticks, and only the bravest of warlocks are foolish enough to contemplate his existence. The farthest any have theorized before being driven to madness by his sheer terror is that he is a manifestation of the fear of the unknown.
And yet if he is the fear of the unknown, then what sort of unspeakable creature could be a representation of fear itself?
“The village is in flames. The people scream in horror. There is no hope of survival for anyone. Yet there he stands silent and unmoving.”-Found in charred journal.
And Fiddlesticks Was There
There was a meadow, empty and bare, And Fiddlesticks was there.
A village was built upon the meadow, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The village grew and prospered, And Fiddlesticks was there.
A powerful warlock took control of the village, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The village became a stronghold of magic, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The village grew for decades, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The village was nigh a city now, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The village claimed other lands, becoming a powerful city, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The city was prosperous and full of magic now, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The city was sieged by night, And Fiddlesticks was there.
It's magic was ransacked, And Fiddlesticks was there.
The capitol burned and destroyed, and Fiddlesticks was there.
All that as left of the city were but ashes and ruins, And Fiddlesticks was there.
What little remained crumbled and fell, And Fiddlesticks was there.
A century passed and the city was nearly back to a meadow, And Fiddlesticks was there.
A new village was built on the ruins, But Fiddlesticks was gone.
So you made it all the way down here. Guess it can't have been too bad. If anyone cares about this, I might update and improve it a bit.
Thanks for reading!
