Shojiro, the Impartial General
Hello there! Yes, you. Here's a champion idea with no lore, but small explanations are added. Don't let that fool you, though. He's one heck of a cool champion, even without a lore :^). Oh, and thanks in advance for reading, questions and comments are really appreciated (PLEASE tell me how you feel about it).
Shojiro, the Impartial General
Spiteful (Passive): Shojiro mocks the weak. He deals more damage the higher his health % compared to his target's (Shojiro's health % - target's health percent * (0.2 + 0.01 per level) = % damage increase). His basic attacks have 150 range.
Obscure Blades (Q): Shojiro draws his swords and slashes extremely quickly in a line to slow and mark all enemies struck for three seconds (he slashes too quickly to be seen doing so). After three seconds, the mark triggers to deal physical damage and reduce his other abilities’ cooldowns by one second for each basic attack he lands on a marked target.
Range: 600 Cooldown: 9/8.5/8/7.5/7 seconds Slow duration and amount: 15/20/25/30/35% for 1 second Mark physical damage: 60/65/70/75/80% total AD + 4/4.5/5/5.5/6% target's missing health
-Shojiro is, along with Riven, one of the most mobile melee fighters. This line dash lets him slow and deal delayed damage to multiple targets. Also lets him farm pretty neatly, set up plays with his other abilities with the cooldown reduction mechanic, or spam laugh after striking a low-health target.
Unrivaled Agility (W): Shojiro dashes around the battlefield, attacking random targets, including unseen targets, within the vicinity for four seconds (prioritizes champions in range) before appearing beside his selected target. The selected target is indicated and revealed for the entire duration of this ability and for another four seconds after. The same target cannot be struck twice. If there are no targets to be struck within range, Shojiro simply disappears from the map until he strikes his selected target. This ability cannot target and will not target neutral monsters.
Range: 2000 Cooldown: 75/70/65/60/55 seconds Radius of random targets struck (from his cast location): 3000/3500/4000/4500/5000 Physical damage: 75/100/125/150/175 + 80% bonus AD Number of targets hit (within 3 seconds): 4/5/6/7/8
-This is Shojiro's signature ability. It works like Fiora's ultimate, but he switches targets faster at higher ranks. He is NOT untargetable when using this ability, so opponents have all the opportunity in the world to interrupt him while he dashes. In short, it's mostly an ability used to scout for enemy champions within the area and reveal a single target for his team (and to look cool on the battlefield), but he can also use it to apply his ultimate.
Artful Strikes (E): Shojiro’s basic attacks gain 50% attack speed and additional range for a brief duration (activating this ability resets his attack timer).
Cooldown: 17 seconds Duration: 1.75/2.25/2.75/3.25/3.75 seconds Range increase: 450
-Shojiro is a dual-wielding samurai general, so it's only fitting that his slashes hurt, even from a distance you least expect.
Utter Cruelty (R): For ten seconds, any damage Shojiro deals to enemy champions wounds them (excludes item effects and summoner spells).
Cooldown: 145/140/135 seconds Bleed over time (per tick): 15 + 35% bonus AD physical damage Grievous wound and bleed duration: 6/9/12 seconds
-The ultimate counter to all healing. At its highest rank, the ability ticks for a full twelve seconds so enemies can watch helplessly as their health bars slowly tick away. An ultimate cruelty, isn't it?
Summary, FAQ
-Why would anyone play Shojiro?
He's one of the most mobile fighters and he has the potential to single out targets from extremely long distances. He also has a lot of versatility and flexibility in his attacks as he can transform them into ranged attacks on a whim.
-How is he unique and what does he bring to the league?
Shojiro has a vision and target-lock mechanic that no other champion in the game, except Twisted Fate, can boast about. Its range is insane, and provides him with truly unrivaled mobility (or agility). At the same time, it also deals damage (something Twisted Fate doesn't do) to multiple targets across VAST distances and it makes Shojiro look pretty cool. He has very high pentakill potential (paired with his ultimate, Shojiro's W can score him a double kill in bot lane and wound two more champions trying to steal his team's jungle buff, all while blinking to their enemy jungler trying to solo the dragon). His ultimate grants him damage over time that only gets stronger over the course of a teamfight. And, when used properly with a team that can disengage mid-battle and re-engage again later on in a fight, his ultimate can cripple entire enemy teams with DoT and grievous wounds. Did I mention that he can also transition between melee and ranged combat at will?
