Tate, The Tormented Child.

Lore:

“Shouldn't you be going to sleep, Tate?" The crooked boy in the mirror questioned.

“I-I was about to...sorry." Tate stuttered as fear racked his entire body. The young child was only visiting the bathroom to do his business. He kept his head hung low to avoid meeting eyes with the bloody boy in the mirror, eye contact only caused trouble. The boy in the mirror, eyes gouged out, began to cry blood silently.

“Liar...you're lying to me...aren't you brother? I don't like liars...you're a liar...LIAR!" The mirror image screamed and shrieked as it's words progressed. Tate tried to cover his ears but nearly had a heart attack as hands sprung from the mirror and clenched his throat. As horrifying as it was, Tate knew this was far from his end. A banging came from the other end of the bathroom door and Tate's mother called for the little boy to go to bed. With that, the mirror image dropped Tate from his grasp and receded. The image in the mirror was now just the normal little boy known as Tate.

“I'm sorry bro...I didn't mean to hurt you...I-I don't like liars..." The voice came again, but this time from inside Tate's head. It was psychotic as usual and the remorse in its tone was no longer genuine. Tate stood in front of the mirror and and looked himself in the frightened, tired brown eyes drooping on his pale face before turning and exiting the bathroom. Mom and dad didn't see...they never saw, Tate thought. He shuffled to his room and closed its door behind him as he flicked on his night light, and shut off his main one. “You don't wanna see me, do you Tate?" Came a crooked voice in the corner as Tate shuffled over to his bed.

Halfway through midnight, Tate lay awake staring at the ceiling fan that circled above him. Beside him, a crooked boy told Tate the stories of Hell and what it was like...and how much he enjoyed life there. If Tate were to stop listening, the boy would ask Tate if he had stopped paying attention. The boy doesn't like liars.

A few minutes later, and the crooked spirit left. Tate assumed he went back to Hell for sleep. Maybe I can get some rest before the next one shows up. Tate yawned to himself and shut his eyes for a split second before a razor sharp blade slowly slit his cheek. The pain was more intense than any normal slice from a blade.

“I do not approve." A grown man wearing nothing but his underwear chanted as he continued to cut Tate' s face. The man mercilessly and slowly made marks with his blade. This wasn't even the worst of Tate' s demons. Eventually, after 2 hours the man got bored and faded into the corner of Tate' s eyes. “I approve..." we're his final words.

The cuts on Tate' s body slowly began to stitch themselves up painfully, and the boy just sat up on his bed, staring at his closet as tears formed in his eyes. He knew what was next.

The closet door swung open, and inside the dark space was a dark silhouette that sat crisscrossed, staring deeply into Tate' s eyes. Tate stared back, but only because he knew what would happen if he looked away. The demon stared and stared. Tate gazed back...his eyes began to burn. “Please...no..." Tate whimpered to himself as he blinked. When his eyes reopened after the split second, the silhouette was before him. Right in front of his eyes. Their faces nearly touching. It was two seconds later, that Tate fainted. The being had forced Tate to go sleep.

“Meet them." An unfamiliar voice rang in the boy's head.

The next day, at school, Tate stood alone on the playground. His friend was at home sick. Tate sat there, baseball bat and mitt in his lap. His classmate, Rika, the girl he had developed a crush on, sat with her friends...staring and laughing at Tate' s direction.

This was a new school...Tate was the new kid...but he had quickly made one friend and became interested in one girl. He was kicked out of his old school, but the principal had no other reason other than the boy was negatively affecting other students, though he never really explained how.

As the girls giggled, tears gathered in Tate' s eyes. Please stop...he'll hurt you all..., Tate begged the girls in his mind as Rika collapsed to the floor and began convulsing. Her body contorted, and Tate saw the crooked boy take control of her mind. Just like that, the girl Tate had a crush on began beating her friends violently and shouting that their gossip was all a bunch of lies.

Tate had to do...something! He was sick of this happening every time someone would say something about him. He grabbed his baseball bat and started for Rika, who was ontop of another girl, tearing hair from her head.

“GET OFF OF HER!" Tate screamed. But not to the possessed girl; to the crooked boy dug into her mind as Tate swung for the girl's skull.

That very evening, Tate was escorted to the Piltover police station for the murder of a child.

“They didn't see....they never saw..." -Tate, The Tormented Child.

Overall: Tate is a fighter with a secondary mage classification. He relies heavily on his attack damage and barely on his Ability Power. Tate has mediocre defensive capabilities as well. Tate' s weapon of choice is a baseball bat.

Appearance: Tate is a 10 year old Caucasian boy with matted dark drown hair, desolate brown eyes, and average figure for a kid his age. Tate normally wears a black and green striped t-shirt, along with black basketball shorts. Tate wields a metal baseball bat that has a small blood stain at the end of it.

Personality: Tate is a good kid, just a bit....disturbed. His mind, as described by medical professionals, is astronomically hyperactive. Unfortunately for Tate, such a large imagination acts as a breeding ground for new fears, horrors, and afflictions. Tate has a hard time looking past these fears and they are normally all he can think about, whether it is daytime or night time. Night time, however, is the worst due to his mind' s enhanced activity. Accompanied by the darkness, Tate has over 100 dark fears and figures festering and nesting within his mind. When Tate falls asleep...pray for what happens inside that imagination of his.

If Tate ever manages to work past his demons, his mind could truly benefit humanity in numerous ways.

Abilities) Basic Attack- Tate smacks and bashes enemies with his baseball bat. Upon landing a critical, the ghost from Tate's lore(the one who was cutting him) will lash out and strike the enemy twice dealing the total critical damage with each strike.

Passive) Mental Disintegration- Every time one of Tate's abilities makes contact, the victim's mental state will deteriorate dealing a total of 5(+5 per Tate' s level) true damage over the course of 2 seconds. Additionally, each ability applies a stack of Mental Disintegration on the target. Stacks deteriorate 1 by 1 every 3 seconds but if Tate manages to land 4 stacks, the victim will have their magic resistance destroyed reducing it by 25%(+0.5% per level)!

Home Run=Q Cost: N/A Range: melee

Tate swings his next basic attack as hard as he can, dealing 80/85/90/95/100(+75% AD) additional physical damage and marking them with “Home Run". After 1 second, Tate will recieve 55/60/65/70/75% of the damage dealt as health and the rest will be converted into his next basic attack.

Cooldown: 9 seconds.

Manifest: Dissaproval=W Cost: N/A Range: Tate

Tate shudders as a large, slightly overweight man in his underwear slowly manifests before him. The man will take one look at Tate before turning and chasing the nearest enemy. As he chases and/or attacks the enemy, the man will shout “I do not approve" for both Tate and the enemy to hear.

Each strike from the man deals 45/50/55/60/65% of Tate' s maximum AD in magical damage. Since Tate isn't the one taking damage, he happily restores 10/11/12/13/14/15% of his health every time the large man deals damage. The manifested fear has an attack speed equal to Tate' s but moves 25% faster. The man lasts for 5 seconds before stopping, turning, and walking away as he gets bored and says: “I approve"

The man's attacks count as basic attacks, but they also count as abilities towards Tate' s passive.

Cooldown: 17 seconds. Cool down starts when man manifests.

Manifest: Silhouette=E Cost: N/A Range: enemy within 600 unit radius.

Tate jumps as a dark silhouette manifests beside him and locks onto an enemy. The silhouette will sit still and stare, not doing anything until the target faces away from it. If and when the target faces away, their entire screen will be enveloped in darkness for one second. When the darkness fades, the dark silhouette will be right in front of the enemy, causing them to become immobile(snared, if you will) for an additional second before the creature disappears and applies a strong DoT affect that deals 25/35/45/55/65(+30% AD) magical damage per second for 3 seconds. This affect applies 1 Stack of Mental Disintegration.

If the enemy does not look away within 4 seconds, the being will fade into Tate, granting him 25/30/35/40/45% increased attack speed for 3 seconds.

The dark silhouette, unlike Tate' s other manifested fears, has a health bar and can be attacked and targeted while it sits still. Be careful, however, attackers! This is is a trap! Using an ability or basic attack on the silhouette while it sits still will cause the figure to vanish, letting out an eerie scream as it appears behind the attacker and strikes them violently dealing 125/140/155/170/185(+40% AD) magical damage and slowing them by 28/35/42/49/56%. This strike applies 1 Stack of Mental Disintegration. Only direct attacks and abilities can trigger the trap, not splash or area of affect damage.

Cooldown: 8 seconds.

Ultimate. Living Nightmare=R Cost: N/A Range: Any champion within 1000 unit radius.

This ability has nothing to do with Tate. The crooked boy from Tate' s lore infests the mind of a single enemy while screaming that they are liars causing their screen to go dark for a split second. When the screen comes to, everybody on the victim's s team will appear as Tate and can be targeted/ attacked by the victim(and vice versa). Additionally, the victim will have attack speed lowered by 30/42/54% and armor/magic resist reduced by 20/25/30%. Lasts for 5/6/7 seconds.

On the outside, all members of the enemy team will now see their ally as the crooked boy, who closely resembles Tate, making them a clone with some distinct characteristics. God forbid that the your allies think you are Tate because you CAN be targeted by friends while you are under the influence of Living Nightmare. Too avoid confusion, the crooked boy has no eyes and looking at the face of a victim of Tate' s ultimate will tell you if it is really your ally or not.

Basically, this ability causes the victim to see everybody as an enemy, making them able to attack their own adc, support, etc. This ability is designed to turn an enemy team member against his friends or his friends against their team member!

While this ability is active on the victim, they cannot use abilities...think of it as a polymorph.

Cooldown: 95 seconds.

Everything is fine, but his Q is on a way too fast cooldown. Every 4 seconds you deal more damage and heal? I think it should be = 12/11/10/9/8

Sounds legit. How does 10/9/8/7/6 sound?

His passive should probably decay all at once; at level 18 it does a total of 570 true damage, which is pretty huge. Otherwise, his E having a hp bar, but punishing you for attacking it is rather bad, especially since AoE or such can put it off.

Perhaps I should include that only direct attacks can trigger his trap? My bad.

And at level 18 the passive does a total of 85-95 true damage '-'

Over the course of 2 seconds means that by the end of 2 second period the total amount of damage will be done.
