[WIP] (Champion Concept) Aurin, The Pacifist

First of all, this is a WIP (Work In Progress) thread; everything here can and will change. You can help with your comments and critiques; they are most appreciated.

#Background I was thinking of a character for another game I'm making but all of a sudden this idea popped up: What if there was a champion who couldn't attack in League? A couple of minutes later, this concept is greenlit (on my Notepad).

My initial thoughts were "Well, if there will be no attacking, she needs to defend herself in some way." (This is now changed (v0.02), she can attack, however she cannot gain AD via items.) So I gave her a bunch of CC's but with no damage. The absence of damage led her skills to get longer by skill points, rather than up the damage numbers.

Then again, she needed a bit of leeway for being a pacifist, a way that if she were found by herself in the lane, a "get out of jail free card". So I rewrote her passive and adjusted her ultimate to the passive.

I still think she has that "AFK" potential but being (relatively) powerless against a 1-on-1 makes me think it will be punished by the enemy in a big way. Still, there's that possibility for her.

Also, you should've guessed it by now, she's a support character. Also she naturally has a big health regen growth per level.

Let's go through her skillset.

#Skills

  • ##Passive: Aurin cannot gain attack damage (AD). Every damage she receives increases her Damage Stack. Damage Stack persists through death. She also gains an additional 1/3/5/7/9 gold per second (1/6/10/14/18 levels) when she's near an enemy champion.

    • ##Comments: Damage Stack is a concept similar to Nasus's stacks. I may call it "Rage Stacks" in the future because she gets "stacked" with the damage she receives. This passive also guides players to build her as off-tank or straight up a tank. I think there may be a total cap to the stacks but it needs to be tested if it's going to work or not. Another point is the gold per second. I'm not entirely sure that it'll work properly but that will incentivise being on the field by additional gold gain.
  • ##Ability 1 (Q) /Skillshot, Medium Range/ She knocks up the enemy. If the enemy doesn't receive any damage while knocked up, they also get knocked back. (Skill Points Upgrade: Cooldown & Duration)

    • ##Comments: This is the main disengage skill she has. Its main purpose is to land a skill shot in a pinch and survive but it can also be used to engage, like Chogath. Every skill point lowers the cooldown and raises the duration of the knock up.
  • ##Ability 2 (W) /Targeted, Close Range/ Silences the enemy. The enemy's first auto attack in 2 sec, heals the target instead of damaging. (Skill Points Upgrade: Cooldown & Percentage Heal)

    • ##Comments: It's pretty straightforward, silence the AP's and remove the auto-attack damage the AD will do. Its close range means you can only do this when you're face to face with an enemy so it won't be a engage starter but it can be used as that if you get close somehow (maybe with TahmKench ). This will have a long cooldown to go through to make it not spammable.
  • ##Ability 3 (E) /Guided, Medium Range/ Aurin releases two ghosts: One of them goes after the closest ally to heal them and Aurin; the other ghost goes after the closest enemy to slow. When a ghost finds its target, the other ghost hits the same target with another effect. The ally gets shielded, the enemy gets taunted. (Skill Points Upgrade: Cooldown & Heal/Slow amount)

    • ##Comments: This is a bit tricky. It provides a heal for Aurin and the ally but only if they are relatively away from danger (or very very close to each other). But then again, it also provides a small disengage from the enemy.
  • ##Ultimate (R) /Self/ Aurin rages into an all-out attacker called Redgrave, using Damage Stack as her AD. Her AS is fixed to 1.5. After it ends, the stack resets to 0. If there are no other champion in the field, she doesn't revert back. (Skill Points Upgrade: Cooldown, Damage Stack percentage, Duration)

    • ##Comments: This is the skill that makes Aurin a game-changer. With her Damage Stacks as AD, Aurin players have to know when to activate this ability. The risk/reward ratio is pretty high. Also, if she is the sole survivor of a team battle, she can actually deal damage and thus, contribute to the destruction (or salvation). Of course, Damage Stack is not 1:1 ratio with the damage she receives but with every skill point, she'd get faster stacks. That means you can go for a big finish but also you can choose to contribute regularly instead of using it one-time.

I've thought about "pacifist" champions before, the biggest issue I saw with being unable to deal damage is feelsbad situations when an enemy is escaping with 3 hp
