Poppy rework

So I do see that Poppy is in line for a rework... I'm very saddened by this :'(. I've played Poppy ever since Season 3 when I started and she's my favorite champion. What does Riot have planned for her?

Yeah, I love Poppy too, but I know one thing for certain that has eased my mind about it: they are keeping her heroic charge relatively unchanged. That is all he was willing to share about her kit so far though. She is definitely changing, so I would get in as many games with her as possible if you don't trust where she might end up.

It almost breaks my heart that she's getting reworked. I main her and I really really enjoy playing her :/. It kinda stinks when they do some heavy rework for a champ. Like take Sion for example. Yes, I think the majority of the community really likes new Sion over old Sion. But there were people who mained the old Sion. I kinda feel bad for them, losing the champ that they knew and loved to play. Just really stinks when you get so used to a champion and how they work and love it. Then it's just stripped away, whether it only be a skill, or the entire kit. New Cass was a complete failure at first. They lowered her strength at first. Yes, it's not a completely new champ like Sion. But the change was so detrimental to her. I just don't want to see my favorite champ get put down :/ Poppy Poppy Poppy

Poppy is probably going to be gutted if Riot's history with reworks stands, with Sion being the only good one. It more than likely won't even be Poppy when they're done, like old Cassiopeia who was a high risk high reward lane bully and now she's just a wanna be Veigar (and they only changed the passive and numbers). See, new Cass is starting to be much better. Since the buffs she is much stronger. But I just don't want to have Poppy go through that garbage champ phase like Cass. Rito Please!!! Leave my baby alone!!!

Yes new Cass is starting to be much better but is still not as good as Veigar and Ryze, who have much better scaling than her with the same early game struggles. I do hope they leave some of her kit other and play styles (Because she has so many) intact; AP/AD Assassin, Bruiser and Tank are just some of the builds I've seen. The worst part is that Poppy's dedicated player base is pretty small (Smaller than Cassiopeia's) so if a rework does happen and she enters the trash tier there might not be enough of us to get her out (Worst case scenario of course) because it took pages upon pages on the old forums to prove to Riot the rework was bad.

Sion and Poppy are the two reworks that are both probably going to be most similar. Both are/will be full blown relaunches, and Sion's was spot on. Then again, I didn't like old Sion any...

True but that both will be full launches however for every one game I saw Sion i would see about two Urgots. Point being that Sion was played by very few and if they changed a lot then it would be okay as the only thing the general populace knew about Sion was his infinitely stacking health.

Poppy on the other hand is about as popular as Gragas or Elise so more people know her kit and what she does and how she plays. So Riot can't change her too much otherwise what made Poppy Poppy will be gone. I would like to see her keep her Q,W and E in some way but I doubt Riot will do that. I also fear that she'll lose her assassin play style.

RiotScruffy himself told me that they are keeping her heroic charge (E) almost unchanged. my first post on this thread has a link to where he said that directly. Q and W are likely to change, but mostly I feel it is going to be her passive and her ult that are going to change most.

What i fear is Poppy has a small niche group of fans that Riot couldn't give a crap about hearing our opinion.

In my opinion poppy would still be collecting dust, but what I think kicked riot in the butt was when she saw pro play. and did good.

since then I think they've wanted to destroy her.

I'm crossing my fingers her rework is like the heimerdinger rework or the soraka rework.

I want to see her keep her assassin role too

i own all of poppy skins so please riot don't bone me i love poppy she my fav champ i don't know what you going to change but keep poppy being poppy and don't sex her up like kat akail etc etc etc i don't think that will fit her lore

I don't know how much Riot's thoughts have changed since then, but tl;dr - they're going to make some hefty changes, but like who Poppy is and want to keep that alive. So, not a Sion-level rework. I think she'll be alright, Riot's learned a lot about doing this kind of thing. :)

well seeing as her ult has been broken since release its about time. if you didn't know it not ending on the death of her target is what i mean by broken. in other words if she kills her first target fast enough she can move on and kill others and be untouchable.
