@Riot, why are you taking Ranked 5s away?

Hey there. I read the post that was made explaining all about the Dynamic and Solo ranked queues that will be available during the 2016 season. My only question is: why no ranked 5s? Dynamic Queue only allows players within a tier of each other to queue up, what about those who aren't and what to compete together?

This is a big deal to some people. I have a plat on my team that I want to play with, but until I work up my courage to play alone, I can't play with him?

I also coach a team made up of golds, silvers, plats, and a diamond... I can't have them play together now. It's disheartening.

Please, implement Ranked 5s back. If not, at least make it so I can queue with whoever I want in ranked.

Personal opinion: It's not a competitive game if the skill gap is that huge. If you want Diamonds to queue up with Silvers, please do it in normals.

Do you also believe that with sports teams where the gap between the starters and the depth players is huge?

Yes, if we're assuming the sports teams are being matched on average skill level of all the players.

As said in my post, until I get the courage to queue alone, I am not aloud to play with my friend in ranked? Some people are like this, they want to play competitively with their friends, but say they don't like to play solo Q due to the number of trolls and AFKs and the whatnot, they are punished for it and are forced to go where they are not comfortable. A solo Q rating does not put you at a skill level at all. Even pros aren't all in challenger/master tier. There are platinums, they don't play solo Q. Are they punished? No.

No one should have to go out where they are not comfortable or unhappy, just to play with their friends in the competitive queues?

No one should be able to ruin a competitive environment when they already have the capacity to play in a non-competitive one. Just play in normals. The goal is still to win. You just spare some silvers and gold players from getting matched unfairly when it matters.
