Mage/Support

Champion Concept

A spell-spamming mage who gains power as she uses her abilities, though at a cost. Though immobile, she has a tool to support the durability of herself or others, targeted cc, and respectable sustained damage. She was also made to be a classic AP mage that is perfectly viable in the jungle.

Lore

Gender: Female Race: Spirit, formerly human Birthplace: Unknown (Ancient Runeterra) Residence: No fixed abode Occupation: Protector of the magical currents Faction: Independent

There is a place between reality and fantasy, and flitting through that space is Lethi, she who maintains the flows of magic. Once an ordinary human mage belonging to a long-dead civilization, Lethi was drawn into a particular forest in her search for magic. There she was lured by the flows of mana to a great tree that reached up toward the heavens above. As she approached, her mind was pulled into the tree, opening her to a world she had never known. When she finally came to, she was a person changed.

Lethi now dwells within the shadows between light and darkness, her ageless eyes forever observing the living beings that scurry across Runeterra. She makes herself known only when the balance of magic is threatened, and those times draw close once more.

"Humans ever imperil this world with their too-short lives. Magic must be protected from them." ― Lethi

Friends: Bard Maokai Soraka Allies: Kassadin Rivals: Ryze Xerath Azir

Bard Maokai Soraka - These three are all various being she's met over her long, long years. She pities Maokai, and sees his suffering as yet another reason why magic must be protected. She doesn't fully understand Soraka's interest in all life, including mortal life. Although she knows him better than most, Bard is still largely beyond Lethi's understanding.

Kassadin - A fellow ward over protecting the power of magic, Lethi considers Kassadin a worthy ally, though her aloof nature leaves her less interested in actively helping him face Malzahar or the Void.

Ryze - Although she appreciates that Ryze respects what magic is capable of, she feels that his scroll is unworthy to remain in mortal hands. She hopes to seize it from him in the near future, though Ryze trusts nobody but himself with it.

Xerath Azir - Humans who became something more through the power of magic, both of these beings are anathema to Lethi, and must be destroyed to safeguard magic. Being warriors, Nasus and Renekton are of less concern to her.

Appearance

A young-looking woman with an ethereal feeling about her, wielding a plain staff in her right hand. She wears a plain long dress, her hair is off-white, long, and has an unkempt edge to it. She wears a small pair of glasses and no footwear. She has an almost "floaty" way of walking, ocasionally levitating for a brief while. While her ultimate is active, she appears ghostly, and floats at all times.

During her death animation, she bursts into a cloud of blue to white-colored butterflies that fly away, leaving her staff behind on the ground. During her recall animation, she creates a field of runes around herself that creates a blue portal behind her. Upon completion, she turns and walks through it, appearing through the other end at the fountain. During her respawn animation, the butterflies from her death animation gather together to reform her at the fountain, and her staff reappears in-hand.

Edges of a runic circle begin to appear around herself as she builds stacks of Gathered Magic, forming the complete outline of a circle around her at four stacks. Upon collecting all five stacks, runic lettering appears in the middle of the circle.

Abilities

Innate: Magic Harvest

After casting an ability, Lethi gains a stack of Gathered Magic which strengthens her basic abilities but increases their mana costs by .5% of her current mana per stack. Lethi can only hold a maximum of five stacks of Gathered Magic.

While she has at least one stack of Gathered Magic, Lethi's basic attacks will spend one stack to deal (30/40/50/60/70/80 [Levels 1/4/7/10/13/16] + 25% AP) bonus magic damage and restore .5% of her maximum mana.

Q: Mana Spark

Range: 600/400 Cost: 20/25/30/35/40 mana Cooldown: 1 second

Active: Lethi creates a point of unstable magic at a target location which detonates after a .5 second delay, firing a thin bolt of magical energy toward the cursor that deals (40/55/70/85/100 + 40% AP) magic damage to the first enemy it hits. If the damaged enemy is a large jungle monster, the energy will regather and fire toward all nearby small jungle monsters, inflicting 33% of the same damage. If no small jungle monsters are neaby, Mana Spark will instead deal 20% increased damage.

Mana Spark has no cast time and does not interrupt Lethi's previous orders.

Magic Harvest: Mana Spark deals bonus magical damage equal to .5% of Lethi's maximum mana for each of Lethi's stacks of Gathered Magic.

W: Mana Crystallization

Range: 1100/350 Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 mana. Cooldown: (9/8.5/8/7.5/7) seconds

Passive: While Mana Crystalization is off cooldown, Lethi gains (2/4/6/8/10) bonus armor and magic resistance.

Active: Lethi causes spikes of crystallized magic to erupt around a target allied champion or herself, dealing (90/125/160/195/230 + 80% AP) magic damage to nearby enemies and granting the effected ally the bonus armor and magic resistance provided by Mana Crystallization for 5 seconds.

Magic Harvest: The bonus granted by Mana Crystallization is multiplied by the number of stacks of Gathered Magic in Lethi’s possession.

E: Mana Collapse

Range: 650 Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana Cooldown: 6 seconds

Active: Lethi consumes all of her stacks of Gathered Magic and fires a mass of raw magic at a target enemy, dealing (80/120/160/200/240 + 60% AP) magic damage.

Magic Harvest: If Lethi had any stacks of Gathered Magic upon casting Mana Collapse, then for 1.5 seconds, Mana Collapse will additionally slow its target by (20/30/40/50/60)%, depending on the number of stacks of Gathered Magic spent to cast it. If five stacks were spent, Mana Collapse will instead stun its target, unless that same target has already been stunned by Mana Collapse in the last 6 seconds.

R: Dimension Slip

Cost: 40/50/60 Mana per second Cooldown: 10 seconds

Active: Lethi shifts partially out of this dimension, rendering her immune to non-tower and non-epic monster basic attacks and their effects, but still leaving her vulnerable to abilities. While shifted, Lethi can still attack and use abilities, but her AD is reduced to a flat 0. Additionally, she gains (30/45/60) movement speed and immunity to movement speed slows, ignores unit collision, and generates a stack of Gathered Magic each (2/1.5/1) second(s)

Lethi can reactive the ability to cancel it, allowing her one more second before returning fully to this dimension. Additionally, Dimension Slip deactives automatically if Lethi runs out of mana or is placed under any form of disabling crowd control.

Pros

-Has mana scaling on her Mana Spark -Has a targeted stun. -Has a built-in defensive steroid that she can share with others. -Has innate mana sustain. -Mana Spark is spammable and her Magic Harvest empowers her basic attacks, giving her an easier time last-hitting than some other mages. -She can build up Gathered Magic rapidly with Mana Spark and Dimension Slip, allowing her to rapidly stun enemies with Mana Collapse during team fights, even moreso if she builds cooldown reduction. -Dimension Slip allows her to duel auto-attack carries with impunity if they lack a way to knock her out of it. -Mana Spark allows her to help quickly take down the Dragon or Baron Nashor despite being a mage. -Has strong sustained damage. -Magic Harvest meshes well with Runeglaive, allowing her to quickly clear the jungle while keeping her mana at a comfortable level.

Cons

-Though she has the means to sustain her mana through weaving spells and attacks, careless spamming will empty her mana gauge rapidly. -Relatively low attack range. Trading with her basic attacks must be done carefully. -Mana Collapse is a relatively uninteresting skill unless her passive is built up, and is a targeted stun at 5 stacks. However, because using her E drains her stacks, you will lose potential empowered auto-attacks with which to recoup the boosted mana cost of both Mana Collapse itself and the previous abilities used to build up stacks of Gathered Magic -Her primary form of harass is a delayed skillshot. -Because her boosted mana costs scale with her mana, building pure mana will do less to allow her to spam skills than other champions. -Dimension Slip is entirely based around self-utility, and provides her no additional damage or any means to directly help her allies. -Lacks burst. -Completely lacks mobility aside from Dimension Slip, which merely provides her a speed boost. -Has relatively low base armor, and Mana Crystalization provides little armor and magic resistance unless Lethi has built up several stacks of Gathered Magic.
