#Short Lore

A skilled ranger tasked with retrieving an ancient power donated to the Shadow Isles before it fell, Skyla found herself falling under it's thrall instead. Now, Skyla fights a battle within her own soul for control, while she singlemindedly focuses on her purpose – bringing Noxians to task for their invasion, one at a time.

#Extended Lore

The wind was rough as if wafted through the multiple sails, whipping waves of dark water as it broke against the bow. Dark tidings…, dark winds thought Skyla, as she took in the dark atmosphere which had engulfed not only her, but the ship as well. It had been long ever since they had departed the calm shores of Ionia, but the situation had been no less desperate nor dire when they had departed. Instead, it had only seemed that the situation had worsened, hopes falling, worry enveloping those who had been so spirited. But it was not to be. For they had a misson, and it was a mission that she would not, could not fail. The stakes, for what they were, were raised too high to afford a disaster, a failure, an inability to complete their mission. The crew had balked when they had first heard their destination, though none had shown it. It was the importance of the mission that had been entrusted to her – that it was a duty, one that had to be completed if they were to endure.

She herself had been surprised when the sages had approached her, being one of the best fighters in the province, and relinquished unto her their request – to bring home the Orbs of Spirit – once a gift from Ionia to the Isles which had once been seen as blessed, but had long since fallen into shadow. They had spoken of the urgency, that it was neccesary if they were to fight against the onslaught of the savage Noxian war machine. There had been those who argued that it was unneccesary – immoral, even to unleash such power. They had been the first to die when the war arrived. Dissent had been discouraged, forbidden, even in closed circles. She had sworn herself to her duty, and it was duty that had commanded her thus. She snapped out of her thoughts as she heard footsteps approach. A voice, male, crisp, spoke. “Skyla. We've sighted land. It's approximate to the map and her best navigators, and the crypt where the Orbs are contained isn't too far inland. “

“Excellent”, she replied. “I'll go ashore”.

She turned to leave, but as she did so, she felt his hand hold her arm back. “Yes, Matiir?”

His tone was more hesitant, losing the tone of coolness and calm. It seemed so much more personal now. “It's just...well...everyone has seen what happened. These isles, the orbs...their power...nothing can come of it. Nothing good at least.”

Her reply was curt. “If you're worried, you can stay on board with the rest of the crew. I can handle myself.”

“It's not...”

“What isn't it? We're done. Leave the past in the past. It's not personal anymore, but it concerns the fate of our nation. Our home. If you can't find it in yourself to trust in me, or even the mission, you should never have come. You should have belonged with those 'pacifists'. There is no honor in war. You of all people should know that, after what happened to your village. You fight or you die. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either delusional or a traitor.”

She watched him flinch. “Skyla…what happened...”

“I removed the veil you placed before me. I grew up. It doesn't matter.”

“It does. There is always another way. We must have faith in a peaceful resolution.”

“Your lackwit brother, Regon, he tried a peaceful resolution. He was the first to die.”

“At least he tried.”

“Try...try what? Being stupid and foolish? Being unable to sense the danger that was around him? Not bearing the common sense to know what is correct, what is right, what the course of action taken should have been? He needed to try none of that, because he was each and every one of those traits. You might have been the only one to see sympathy for your idiotic brother, but everyone else...well everyone else, they knew the course of action to take. The correct one. He was naive enough to not even carry a weapon on him. What did he think would have happened? That there would be a nice agreement, then the mean men with the big swords would have gone away, and they would have marched hand in hand singing songs of joy and peace? He was a fool, with those ideas which he believed everyone loved, when he was the one at fault, the false one, the one whom no-one liked. It is his fault and his fault alone in this. Taint not the deeds of noble and true people for his lackwit abilities. He deserved what he got. For misinterpreting something that was crystal clear? That mistake is unforgiveable. And it was.”

“One exception doesn't prove the rule. Negotiation – speaking to them, the enemy, that is what we must seek.”

With a swift movement, she drew her dagger and held it against his throat, pinning him against the mast towards which he had been slowly backing against. “Try speaking now when they hold a blade to you. Every movement, every breath, even a word you speak, could bulge your neck against the dagger. You could bleed. You could die. And when it has come to this? You fight. You resist. Because to do otherwise is to submit, to be weak against a foe who will show nothing to those who are. I'm surprised you were even born a boy to begin with.” She eased the blade from his throat, before throwing it into the deck, the hilt sticking and swaying as the blade eased into the wood.

“Commander”, shouted another voice, slightly farther away. “We have located the crypt. Do you wish to go ashore?”

She turned and shouted back. “Yes. I'll go alone. Prepare for departure as soon as I return.” She turned back to face Matiir, who was still recovering from being pinned against the mast, deftly returning her dagger to it's sheath as she did so. “Don't challenge me again, or you won't live to regret it.”

Skyla ducked under a creeper as it moved to tangle her, deftly pinning it against another trunk with an arrow as it moved to strike her again. The atmosphere had been heavy, the mist heavier, but heaviest of all was the mood, the feeling of darkness, despair, and desperation. She allowed herself a breath, as she saw the entrance of the crypt, the culmination of her journey, her final objective looming above her.

She walked up to the entrance, the dark forboding round door before her. Skyla stood to one side, then pushed it open, as it rolled aside with a resounding crunch. Taking careful steps within, testing each stair that led down for traps, she pulled out a stick wrapped in cloth, and lit it, serving as a beacon to the darkness which lay below. The air within was foul with the scent of death, the walls moist with some strange liquid, covered in dark vines that twisted and writhed against each other.

Skyla stepped into the passage that lay before her, walking forward, yet questioning slightly why they led up. She had walked through the crypt itself, the darkness surrounding her, the tombs cold and unwelcoming, and yet, nothing had moved forth to strike her. It had been so alluring, so strange in it's nature that Skyla had no option but to move forward because of it. Stepping up, she was suddenly overwhelmed by the fresh air of the outside to which she had suddenly been exposed to. Recovering quickly, but on her guard, with her bow in one hand, lighting the head of an arrow before putting out her torch. As it sloped upwards, it finally plateaued, showing a narrow path bordered on both sides by an unseeable, opaque darkness. Skyla deftly walked across the thin, smooth bridge, until she reached an altar on the other side, up upon a platform, lit by what little moonlight filtered through the treetops.

Upon the dais, there lay a box, deeply inset within the altar, secure. Skyla circled it, letting the lit arrow travel over the inscriptions that had been scribed into it. This was it…, she thought to herself. This is what I have come for. This is the power I can, I must use to save my home…. She moved to the box gently tapped it, before opening up the ornate lid. It was heavier than she imagined, as she strained somewhat, though it suddenly gave way, and a blast knocked her back. Stumbling, but keeping her bow ready, she moved cautiously, edging towards the box as she climbed back up the steps to find it. Though the box had long fallen apart, the two orbs – the Orbs of Spirit – rotated above, one dark as the shadow trees upon the canvas of the midnight sky, while the other, a sphere of milkiest white upon a background of pure winter snow. They drew close as she approached, circling her. Then it - they spoke.

The milky orb spoke first, a voice of harshness, one full of rightous indignation, though soft and mellow, but ultimately, Skyla's own. “We are...the Firstborn...” trailing off, only to be followed by the dark one, a voice – hers too, but darker, vengeful, indulgent in bloodlust. “...and we shall too be the last.”

Skyla took several cautious steps back, always tracking one of the spirits with her bow, looking for signs of suspicious movement, anything that would indicate that they would turn on her, any sign of threat. But still, they whirled around her in flashes and flurries of black and white, their voices hers, but not quite.

“There is a purpose for everything...”, one began “the purpose...of action.” “Action is merely the recourse”, spoke the other, “for emotion drives action” “Strife is the natural order..” “...if only it weren't the failure of reason” “There is logic in bloodshed...” “As the spilling of blood, the shedding of life so calculated?” “It must be, for we, alone drive our doings...” “But be there not faith, in a destiny, a path worth taking...” “That for the weak-minded, for might makes right...” “Not a sign of weakness...but strength it is...” “Minds do not slay enemies, nor forge empires...” “...and yet, it is not the action of an order that defines it, but its context” “Force...alone...drives one's will...” “...but will, in itself, drives past what force cannot...” “Worthy, is it not, in the raising of swords?” “A command...that is given, born from reason...and will” “Logic alone defines our being” “…then explain, thus, why love intertwines hate...” “It is the moral imperative...” “One developed by the mind, to govern our actions” “Even so, our actions are that which define it” “Only, if it were to be created thus so” “If not upheld...why does it exist?” “Because it is an idea...an idea which we hold...one which never dies” “All living things must die” “and yet, ideas cannot” “They must, for they are forgotten...bearers slain by the action of man” “Persevere, though they will, perfect, in those who receive it, years apart” “Rebirth must be preceded by death” “Not death...though, a long slumber” “Are they not the same?” “One is of will, one by force” “And yet the one of force...'tis truly final” “Finality matters not to that which force cannot touch” “Perception – then, that is what matters” “That – of the mind, those who do – they convey a message never silenced” “Bearers – they are” “Truly so? For we contain their power, their will” “That...that we do possess, and the ability to wield it” “And our guest, our bearer..” “she has been waiting..long...” “She has the mind...the capacity...the capability” “The strength...the ability” “Grant it – shall we?” “ We should. Unless there is...another?” “Years...decades...centuries it could be. There is now a distinction.” “Consensus, we possess?” “ Rare – but yes.”

Skyla stared, mesmerised, perplexed, by the beings which argued before her. How they had discussed will...power...the ability to do anything...be anyone...everything she had needed...everything she had come for. She reached out to them, her hand gently extending. The spirit orbs spun, faster and faster, Skyla, drawing closer and closer to them, until a shout broke her from her trance.

“SKYLA” it cried. The voice was Matiir's. Curse you...Matiir…, she thought. To interrupt, at a time...this time...when I am so close… She reached forward, as if to absorb the power which loomed before her, wanting to envelop, give her the essence she needed...followed by a hard shove, as she fell to the side, the force of the impact hurting her.

“Matiir...”, she said, as she struggled back to her feet. “What...what are you doing...”

“Saving you?” came the reply.

“I...I can handle myself. I am not some token damsel in distress”, retorted Skyla, her voice full of force.

“You were staring jnto them...mesmerised, almost in a trance,” he replied. “Nothing good could have come of that. Come on. Let's get back to the ship.”

“I'm not going back. Not without what we came for.”

“Don't you see the danger it presents? You, one of the people with the strongest willpower I know...just helpess before it….it's not right. It's dangerous. It's become corrupted with everything in these cursed Isles - “

She interrupted him. “It's also the only thing that can save us – it's what we've come for. I will not fail my mission because of one of your moral imperatives.”

“It's a power no-one can control. You can't possibly be -”

Picking herself off the floor, Skyla stood up. “I have had enough of your defeatism and fear mongering. IF you were anyone else, you'd already be on the floor, bleeding out. Do you not see the worth in protecting our home, our way of life – who we are?”

Matiir was briefly shocked, but still managed to speal. “Some things….some things are not meant to be...or controlled. Not by us...it is a wrong, not only physical...but ethical, moral, it is all thus. We cannot possess such a strength, for it is unpredictable – dangerous, even for the wielder. We must retain some degree of understanding, that being that of integrity, in our actions, but also in our beliefs. There are surely other ways to -”

Skyla had listened, though she had grown more and more indignant with each passing remark. “Are you so blind? THIS IS WAR. There is no ethical nor moral integrity between us and them. The enemy will show none and if we are to do so, we inspire only WEAKNESS unto ourselves. I risk everything to win everything, to bring justice to those who were denied it. You risk everything for nothing. You speak of honor, of goodwill towards the enemy. See what it gets you. Will 'honor' and 'goodwill' shield from the shaft of an arrow , or the thrust of a sword? You deplore pragmatism, thus you deplore your own survival. Your weakness, your defeatism, your pacifism, it inspires nothing but the same amongst those around you. You spread treason with every word, bring them ever closer to their objective. And for what? Your 'ideals?' Treason by another name. They are wrong as you are. I seek justice, vindication, the end to a conflict. Stand in the ashes of a thousand souls and ask them if honor matters.”

“Then there will never be peace.”

“It is not peace, but the suspension to the fighting. An end. The end. The final end, for in every defeat lies the seeds of the next rebellion – the next war. It must be done – caused such that there are no seeds to plant – or no ground to plant them in, it does not matter. What matters is an end. An end I will work to bring, be you with me or against me.”

“Even at the sake of who you are – your humanity? To lose yourself to win – that is not – never, truly winning.”

“There will be no humanity to save if there is no one to bear it. Your beliefs are noble, but ultimately futile. You seek a temporary respite from what should be finality in itself – a quality we must understand, yet your naive beliefs hold you back from truly understanding and comprehending the extent of what is required in order to reach an outcome deemed desirable – one of finality, where it's effects cannot be doubted or challenged by such as you, who seek to undermine an inherent order designed to bring peace and prosperity. It is integral to the propogation of a peaceful and understanding culture that all those who seek to remove, to challenge or fight it be removed prior to it's initiation, such that there are none who can threaten it.”

“You seek to fight without purpose...an endless strife, Skyla... Where, when, and with whom gone will it end? Do you seek the death of everyone? You offer no choice to those who have not participated, no purpose to their actions. Is this what you seek? A world of endless bloodshed, where there are none who cannot be so, where a side must be picked for there to be an existance – any existance? What do you seek? Why is it so? Why can there be no middle ground?”

“It is you who seeks a fight without purpose...an endless strife. I seek to bring an end, such that WE and those with us, we who can seek purpose without conflict, a choice…a chance that we can better ourselves, be who we should be, not who we cannot, so that we can offer a purpose through which conflict is not a neccesity, but an option. Because as long as you...your treasonous ideology...it's poisoned fruit...as long as that choice is offered to those who are most susceptilble, those who seek...who aim to believe in such blasphemy, that which cannnot be allowed to propogate, the loose speech of a wanderer who possesses no purpose, seeking choice, objective, in what can be none, and yet look upon the world and question why it is so, when it is their choices which have caused such a thing...tell me it is best, that it is the moral imperative you seek, where purpose...choice are sought after...yet are nought but a deception...a lie, a goal that moves further the more you seek it...tell me it is the road desirable to one, and one's progeny...a future...a truth where A is not A but B. I seek to bring upon an ideal where it is so, where A is A, not B, where people are not deceived to believe things are such that they seek A when they look for B. That is the shadow, the spectre you would bring...that which would encourage conflict...dissent...instability and rebellion at every turn. Where peace is the exception rather than the norm. Is THAT what you want, what you wish for everyone who lives...who will live? A neverending conflict...yet one that fits your moral imperative?”

“Skyla...I...I can't let you do this. You would go too far…”

“Then this must end. We have both known this for some time.”

Skyla drew her bow, circling carefully, as she watched Matiir draw his own sword. Taking aim, she drew back an arrow. She watched him dodge, the arrow whistling past his ear as he charged her, his cloak billowing as he did so. Skyla dodged his own thrust deftly, parrying with a swiftly drawn dagger. Springing back, she sheathed it, before nocking another arrow. This one was closer this time, forcing him to parry hard with his own blade. This time, Matiir was much more adept, striking with a forceful horizontal slash while simultaneously granting her less time to react, her deft evasion not quite accurate enough, tripping over an ingrained root in the vined floor. Matiir prepared to bring down his sword in a final motion, though Skyla had predicted this, and rolled as she fell, causing it to strike to one side of her. Using her dagger, she took the offensive, forcing him back as he strained to dodge and weave back, unable to use the longer reach of his sword to his advantage. However, as Skyla forced him back, Matiir suddenly found an opening, striking with another sweep at her legs, causing her to execute a deft backflip, a brief respite in the fighting. It was not to be. She had thrown the dagger as she had flown through the air, it's thin sharp blade cutting across his arm, but just short of digging itself into it. Matiir tensed, letting his battle fury carry away the pain as he dove towards her in a leaping strike. Skyla scampered over the box in the middle of the dais, her own cloak blowing with her motion. She prepared one more arrow, firing, and Matiir moved to bat it aside with his sleek silver blade. Anticipating this, Skyla moved with a deft slick motion, pulling out another sheathed dagger and throwing it, causing to fly towards him with deft agility. A pained cry told her she had found her mark deep in his leg. She took this time to speak once more to him.

“It doesn't have to end like this. You...you don't have to fight – to resist me. There is still a path back…, a place in the world, a world as dictated thus by those of pure heart, untainted by criminals and their ilk, the anarchists – the profiteers who would seek to destroy a sacred destiny – a path predetermined for their selfish short term gains. Fight not against me, but with me. Once more. You have made only a deviation from a path determined, but it is not incorrectible...not yet. It will not take too much, at least from you, for you to be as such, so that you can be yourself once again, no longer a slave to the corrupt culture, the corrupt ideals of those who you believe to be your friends, your allies, except they be nought but your masters, holding their whips and chains, extending them as in friendship, but in reality in submission, in slavery, in a future where you hold no control but obedience, where it is not earned, but demanded. Do you wish to die for an ideal so steeped in corruption that it's collapse is imminent, that it requires only the hasting of one brick – it's removal for it's destruction? Will you refuse your hope for a better future, to not stand with me to defend something that will soon enough destroy itself? I am not the instigator of the collapse. I will merely permit it's catalysing. Is it not worth to stand beside me for this, after everything, a chance at redemption?”

His reply was hoarse, barely legible. “N...n...never..not...not for you...not at this cost”, as he lunged at her clumsily, falling as he did so, the sword he wielded clattering aside. Drawing one last arrow, she moved to him, careful though, for she did not put deception past him. A weapon, after all, cut both ways. Yet, she saw the pain he was in, the agony that flowed through his veins instead of blood, and for the first time since their encounter, she felt sorrow. A deep sorrow, one where she wished to save him, where it had been her desire, where she would – if she had the chance – to reverse time, to prevent it's occurrence, such that events would play out differently and yet, it was impossible. It had come to this. A determination of her beliefs, the clash with his...it's inevitable outcome…, and the bloodshed...the pain this had caused, where brother fought brother, friend fought friend, and where treachery, backstabbing, was merely a cost to exacting justice, not it's antithesis. He turned to face her, in clear agony, as the dagger she had thrown had latched deep into his thigh, and was clearly sapping his strength, and yet, he still had enough to retort. Impressive…, she thought but regrettable. It didn't...it shouldn't have had to end like this, with him bleeding out on the shores on some forsaken land, downed by the hand of a friend, forgotten, alone, lost to the annals of history, doomed to not even a mention, not a phrase, nor a name…_. She reflected on this _I...I must, I will complete it. It is my purpose, my order, my sole command, for it to occur. I cannot let what is left of our culture, extraneous as some parts may be, be lost and forgotten, to be forever trod on by the filthy boot of Noxian imperialism...it's unforgiving, savage, tyrannical nature. I cannot condemn more innocents than that who have died already to such a fate, without hope, a life of desperation, of chains, physical and those of the mind, one that will only require more blood to shed...when even one is too many.” She looked back at Matiir, who, weak now, spoke in nought but a whisper. “F...finish it. You know it is what you must do, if you truly believe everything you have told me – if it is your imperative.” Thinking once more, she searched for an alternative, a future, a possibility of a way in which it did not have to end like this, with his death as such, but for the first time in his hypocritical life, his hypocritical existance, she knew he had finally found the truth, and spoken it. It was unfortunate...but it was better to find the truth at death's door, than never.

She had only a single answer to give. “I'm sorry it had to end like this”, and with a deft action, so it ended. The struggle, the conflict, was over. She felt relieved, though nauseous at the thought of what had happened. Skyla pulled the emotions, the feelings, back. She could not continue like this.

Turning away from him, she walked back to the inset box, where the two spirits had been hovering in tandem, their glowing lights pulsing , yet unfurling, almost as if they were scrolls unfurling in the wind, and dropped to one knee.

“Is it done?”, questioned one, the light, high voice, though it seemed deeper than it had been before.

“It is.” replied the other. “A choice has been struck...made...of free will. Yet the will is not free, nor shall it be?”

“Intertwined we are...yet opposing...existing as thus, but also with the other...as two….and one”

“Pick then...for it is one you can have, though not the other. Or perhaps seek us both, and the conflict shall wage between us, for it is the objective – our purpose”

“Truly so, is it? Yes, but no. There exists only dominance, but in submission. Thus it must be. Choices to make...”

“Aspects to be taken...”

They spoke in unity, an uncanny replica of her own voice. “The power…of …one...”

Skyla hesitated, internally debating the choices. Had Matiir been right? No...of course not. There was a reason. There had to be. A path, singular in itself, where it was the correct choice...it had to be. A swift shake of her head to one side, blinking away from his body still lay, gently twitching now. “I...I...accept.” Silently, she added I must...for it has cost far too much already.

The spirits whirled around her, their lights rushing around her, blinking, flashing, black and white combining into gray, then separating once more, the rushing of the flashes becoming one...that of understanding, a belief in what was right – what had to be right, what must be right. Dropping even further she saw it...an understanding...yet a counter to it...intertwining. The truth...the objective truth...the reasoning to it all, and the world in which it existed. It coursed through her, feeling as if fire ran through her veins, and yet, it had empowered her, strength without cease, a knowing of all that had been. And yet, because of it, a lightness within her, contrasted by a shadow of darkness.

She struggled to rise, and as she did so, she felt the voices once more, yet they had come within her, resting deep in a place she could feel, yet never touch. She whispered, hoarsely. “Is it done?”

“Just so”

“As it should be”

“Then I...I will bring an end to it all...all of them...”

She paused briefly. “I must.”

#Ability Overview

##Overview

Skyla is a ranged carry who develops in a unique way throughout the match. Thanks to her passive, she is able to take one of two forms as a result, which can dramatically alter her playstyle – and that of her team, as a result. Despite this, she is a character who is much stronger late game, though her strengths, depending on her form, range from support to assassin. She is, however, a general utility character, and it is best if she is paired up with another source of damage within the team.

Skyla's passive is An Ancient Power, Long Forgotten. Tbjs grants her a teritary resource bar, called Alignment, which is influenced by how she interacts with living things within a match, which drop Spirit. If dropped by an ally, collecting it will raise her Honour, while letting it dissipate will raise Glory. This works vice versa with enemies. Neutral monsters's Spirit will grant the same amount to both sides. At levels 6, 11, and 16, the greater Spirit will influence one of her basic abilities, aligning it to one side. At level 16, her passive and ultimate will also align. Skyla will gain bonuses based on alignment of abilities, and a further bonus if all abilities are aligned singularly. Greater Honor will align an ability towards Righteousness, while greater Glory will align an ability towards Glory. Both Glory and Righteousness are reset once an ability is aligned

Her Righteous aligned passive is Transcendant Piercing, causing damage she deals to an enemy to heal nearby allies for a portion of the damage dealt. If an ally is affected by multiple instances of this, instances past the first are weaker. This also causes her autoattacks to no longer become projectiles, though she remains ranged.

Her Vengeance aligned passive is Leythi Blast, which passively cause her autoattacks to expand as they fly, dealing damage to the left and right of the target (directly calculated by Skyla's position perpendicular to the target), while moving will also cause her to increase her next auto attack's damage.

Skyla's Q is Shattered Skies, causing her to fire an arrow into the sky for up to 5 seconds. Upon reactivation, it's flies back down, with it's damage and radius increasing based on how much time it spent in the air.

When influenced by Righteousness, it will also create an enemy exclusion zone for a period. If an enemy is inside the zone when it is created, they will be knocked out. The zone's duration depends on the time that the arrow spent in the air.

When influenced by Vengeance, the ability will also ground enemy units which are hit by it. This duration depends on the time the arrow spent in the air.

Skyla's W is Whispering Blade, which throws out a dagger, stopping at the first target hit and marking it for a short duration. If she autoattacks the target, the mark is consumed to cause the target to bleed out for a short duration.

When aligned to Righteousness, the dagger will instead steal MS, granting it to Skyla, and creating an aura which gives allies a proportion of the stolen MS.

When aligned to Vengeance, she is instead able to recast the ability to summon it back to her, deaing a portion of the target's missing health as extra damage.

Skyla's E is Tranquil Steps, which causes her to dash a short distance, before unleashing a barrage of arrow. This cone is targeted at the cursor, and is unleashed once the dash

Aligning to Righteousness will cause the barrage of light to stun enemies who are caught in the middle of the cone.

Aligning to Vengeance will instead speed up Skyla based on enemies hit, and her orientation regarding enemies.

Skyla's R is Spirit Guides, which cause her autoattacks to mark their targets to be slashed by her Elder Spirits.

When affected by Righteousness, she will instead gain Purification, causing her to channel a beam of pure light onto an ally or enemy for several seconds. If she channels on an ally, they gain movement speed, are not affected by diminishing returns on Transcendent Piercing, and have a longer leash range.

When affected by Vengeance, the ability is transformed into Shadowfall, causing her to cloak all nearby allies who are moving, while also allowing to cross terrain while cloaked.

An Ancient Power, Long Forgotten

In addition to mana, Skyla also has a third resource bar, located below her mana bar, measuring Alignment. The death of living things will cause Spirit to drop, lingering at their location for 4 seconds. Collecting Spirit dropped by allied units will raise Honour, while letting it dissipate will raise Glory. Collecting Spirit dropped by enemy units will raise Glory while letting it dissipate will raise Honour. Spirit dropped by neutral monsters will raise both. Collecting Glory will lower Honor and vice versa

Spirit dropped by units: 1

Whenever Skyla ranks up her ultimate, she can pick an ability to transform. If her Honour is higher, it will transform into it's Righteous form. If her Glory is higher, it will transform into it's Vengeance form. At Rank 3 of her ultimate, Skyla will take on the form with more aligned abilities, transforming her passive and ultimate, while gaining bonuses based on the alignment of her abilities. Skyla can also attain a Pure form, if all of her basic abilities are of the same alignment, enhancing the bonuses. At 100 stacks Leythi Blast also applies a DoT, dealing 4% of the enemy's missing health in physical damage per second for 4 seconds. Against minions, this will deal 10% of their max health in true damage per tick instead. Leythi Blast's poison can also jump to nearby targets, though no unit may be affected by the same Leythi Blast more than once.

Selection: Conflict...an inevitability which does not end…

Beginning of Match:

Movement:

(Skyla speaks first, followed by the Light Spirit, then the Dark Spirit) (Once Skyla has aligned completely to one side: Pure Righteousness/Vengeance the unaligned Spirit will not speak) (Volume level of the Spirits depend on her alignment. More alignment means they will be louder than their counterpart)

  • A purposeful decision (Light) – Perhaps. (Dark) - Thus so.
  • I live, bound to my choices (Light) – It is the only way. (Dark) – Set in stone, our actions are not.
  • There is no glory in combat (Light) – but there is, in that vindication of the innocent (Dark) – even in their downfall, their death?
  • We move – as it must be. (Light) – It is predetermined. (Dark) And yet the choice...is yours
  • Spirit is the conduit of our being (Light) – It is that which represents us. (Dark) – Merely a representation of that which exists not.

Attack:

  • Strife is at hand. (Light) – An action required, though unwanted. (Dark) – The natural state of being – it is.
  • It is finality we seek. (Light) – That for the innocent, those voiceless. (Dark) – That determined by one's self – one's desire
  • Combat is upon us. (Light) – A glorious expression of willful intent. (Dark) – A needless display, of an action best hidden.
  • I must persevere, for it is thus told. (Light & Dark in tandem) – You must – for it is thy only purpose as given.
  • War...war brings terrors to those unknowing (Light) – A natural order, one that must be corrected. (Dark) – An inevitability, inevitable as any that are known.

Conversion of ability to Righteousness

  • (Light) – Glorious, it is. Glorious it shall be.
  • (Light) – The expression of will – the idea of it, draws forth
  • (Light) – Fight, draw, struggle against that which would have corrupted, and for that, be ever stronger

Conversion of ability to Vengeance

  • (Dark) – There is much to do. Wrongs to right...unjustices to avenge...we begin
  • (Dark) – Pragmatism weighs over emotion – as it should
  • (Dark) – Fall not against that which is the natural state of being.

Conversion to Pure Righteousness

  • (Skyla & Light in tandem) – It is complete...justice in human form
  • (Skyla & Light in tandem) - Their liberation...awaits

Conversion to Pure Vengeance

  • (Skyla & Dark in tandem) – Vengeance, their salvation...awaits
  • (Skyla & Dark in tandem) – Conflict, endless and meaningless, shall soon cease.

Death:

  • I...it...it is not complete…
  • Return..I must...for what I...we seek...is not done

#Playstyle

Early Game

Early game, Skyla should aim to align herself with the aspect which she most desires. This can mean a great change in general playstyle regarding how she wants to act. For example, wanting to align with Vengeance may encourage a much more aggressive playstyle than one associated with Righteousness. However, Skyla should, in general, aim to use Shattered Skies, either as a waveclearing tool, or as a method of zoning the enemy. If she does find herself in a trade, utilising her Whispering Blade followed by an autoattack, before retreating with Tranquil Steps can catch her some breathing room, or ability to escape from a gank. Using her ultimate to hold enemies at arm's length is very effective as well, as you ensure, to an extent, that they are unable to close with you.

##Mid Game

By now, Skyla should have gotten two – or, if she is lucky – all of her upgrades. At this point, she should be looking to use them to enhance the capabilities of both her and her allies, either supporting allies with her Righteous form abilities, or zoning and securing kills on enemies with Vengance form. In general, she provides more battlefield utility than straight up damage, but may also be useful as a splitpusher due to her ability to escape easily, while also being able to quickly destroy minion waves. Her general mobility should allow her to escape most threats, but is definitely vulnerable to hard CC.

##Late Game

This is Skyla's strongest phase. Whether it's through long range DPS with Purification, or a surprise engage with Shadowfall means that she can effectively deal damage, or shock enemies with the full force of her team. The bonuses gained from her passive, and especially the enhanced bonuses means that she can shred through teams quite easily. She should be watching her positioning, but can be a little more care free as she has damage and utility enough so that she can afford to be a little more aggressive. Regardless, she still works well with AoE teams, or teams that have a strong initiation which will allow her to make use of both instances of her ultimate.

#Allies&Foes

** synergises with**

Sivir Shyvana Diana

Sivir synergises extremely welll when played with Skyla. Whether it's the inherent synergy that The Hunt and Shadowfall share, allowing for shock ambushes and initiations, or how it can help further speed an ally marked by Purification into a fight, they both compliment each other very well, Sivir's short range allow her to make use of Transcendent Piercing's healing to an extent, which, in turn with her spellshield, make them diifcult to take down.

The Half-Dragon serves as apowerful ally. A Shadowfall-assisted Dragon's Descent can completely destroy the defensive line of an enemy team, while the inherent damage and potential healing provided by Purification means that this dragon can continue to wreak havoc in the middle of an enemy team, all the while staying healthy enough to fight. The grounding effect from Solace, or the speed boost from Purification also help Shyvana stick to more mobile targets which would otherwise have gotten away.

The Scorn of the Moon finds herself good company to either her Righteous or Vengeful formes, being able to take good advantage of both ultimates, whether it be initiation from the shadows or sustaining as part of a full engage. Skyla's plethora of crowd control tools are also very useful in providing outs for Diana which would otherwise have left her caught in desperate siituations from where there would have been no escape.

struggles against

Kalista Azir MasterYi

The Spear of Vengeance proves to be a great challenge for Skyla to face. Her superior mobility and early game make it difficult for Skyla to effectively combat her, and make landing her spells much more difficult in lane. Furthermore, the ability to save a teammate with Fate's Call can help to negate the power of Shadowfall, while also breaking channels of Purification. Kalista is also able to move to areas that Skyla thought safe, using her Martial Poise to move around areas locked off by Serenity easily.

The Emperor of the Sands also proves to be a formidable opponent. His great AoE damage as well as long range make it difficult for her to fight him, and his burst is nothing to sneeze at. Furthermore, good uses of Emperor's Divide make it extremely difficult for Skyla to combat him with her Shadowfall, wasting it's duration, while Azir's own mobility provides him safety against her and her team, making it difficult to counter him without good teamwork.

Master Yi is difficult for Skyla to fight, as she possesses only conditional CC, while his mobility and high movement speed allows him to easily dodge her otherwise telegraphed attacks. Additionally, Skyla's lack of ways in which to counter or shut down Meditate, means that she can neither burst him down nor run away effectively without team mate assistance, leaving her very vulnerable when alone. Yi's playstyle of split-pushing also generally diminishes her power by drawing games away from the teamfights where she excels.

I hate to say this, but you can only expect people on the boards to read so much. I'm amazed you've put this much work into it but you should really trim it down to the essentials if you're looking for feedback.

Smug Yui5/1/2016, 7:10:47 PM4 votes

Fuck me, that's a lot of words.

Njallum5/1/2016, 7:21:50 PM3 votes

Hello, first off, I'd like to say that this is a pretty interesting concept when looked at from an out of gameplay perspective. However, despite how neat her kit is, it is without a doubt completely broken. The primary reason for this is not numbers, as is commonly the case, but the sheer overwhelming amount of utility, damage and supportive potential she has. While she might not have access to all these abilities all the time due to the aligment system, which is really neat by the way, the crust of the matter is that whether she is in Vengeance or Righteousness, her utility is likely way too high.

Marksmen typically have very little utility in their kit, and if they do it is extremely rare for they to have anything more than maybe a slow, a dash or long range. Even without her aligned abilities, base Skyla already has long range, good burst potential, a dash which also slows and does damage, alongside strong aoe damage.

Even her base is severely overpowered, the alignment abilities add to this rather drastically. Skyla has the kit of a Mage, Assassin, Support and Marksman rolled into one. While there's no inherrent problem with a character having many different abilities, more abilities generally mean that each ability has less impact on it's own. Use Elise as an example, each of her abilities are pretty simple and weak individually, but they come together to create one cohesive whole.

I'd suggest trying to trim down a lot of her abilities to make them more streamlined and less bloated. I'd advice making her base abilities very weak to make up for her high lategame powerspike. Could perhaps make her into an ability-based hypercarry once she reaches max level. Just a thought.

McKeifus5/2/2016, 1:54:56 AM3 votes

Like many champion concepts on the boards, this is way way way too complicated, and much too powerful. The best champs are simple and streamlined, with enough complexity to sink your teeth into. The other problem is this whole assassin/support concept...it gives one champ too much to do, meaning they can end up being broken by taking advantage of a lot of OP item trends. Overall, I would not want to play this champ.

ShatteredSkys5/29/2016, 5:06:32 AM2 votes

Hey! ^_^ here are my thoughts on Skyla, A Soul Divided!

Also you've really got something against Noxians haven't you?

Kit:

Passive/Complexity: I really think you should take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVL4st0blGU. The important part is mostly toward the end.

My biggest issue with Skyla is the sheer complexity of the kit. If we go by the fact that the player will either go pure vengeance or righteousness Skyla is technically three champions with three very distinct play styles rolled into 1. However it's not like that, each ability can be swapped for essentially two different abilities which creates a crazy amount of different combinations you can play as which is incredibly difficult for any player to follow.

The player essentially has to keep up with a champion that gradually changes as the game goes on, who's strength and weaknesses change with each decision between vengeance and righteousness.

Synergy?: Not exactly sure if the abilities truly flow with each other particularly well. While ADCs normally don't need this as much as other champions it becomes really complicated to work the abilities together do to the sheer number of combinations. Also I wasn't sure if the vengeance and righteousness kits truly worked toward a singular goal or idea. I didn't think there was particularly a lot of synergy but i could be wrong, it's hard to tell.

Q: I approve of this name :P

Shadowfall: I'm pretty sure this is absolutely broken. I'm not exactly sure how you're supposed to play around this in the late game as the enemy team. I personally think it's a bit much.

I'm sorry if this review is tad short, my issue is similar to your previous concept it's a really complicated. Because all of the various combinations of abilities and paths you can go it becomes difficult to tell what is good design or if the kit flows into itself at all. I would say the kits biggest selling point and downfall is its complexity, I think it's far too complex to be a good concept.

I'll try and go over the lore and the kit again after I have a better view on it, it's a LOT to take in......

Also I'm working on my own concept do you mind giving a little feedback? Thanks. https://docs.google.com/document/d/15kxyqLImjAA8jnt0mtPFHQ1E9c34Ee8nO9Ew-N6Hy40/edit

Candurill5/9/2016, 10:15:36 PM1 votes

Hey :D here i am, finally....Sorry for the late reaction ^^'

Anyway, without further ado:

My first impression of your champion was a very good one. I myself did a champion with a creation/destruction alignment once, which turned out pretty nice. I like champions that have a "minigame" mechanic in their build. It gives for some dynamic plays that can spice up the game in unexpected ways. The execution of this dynamicness in THIS concept however...just does not work for me. I can see that a lot of thought has gone into this champion and you really worked hard on it, but maybe its a bit overdone. First of all, the way she gains these alignments...Why call it honour and glory? I see those two things as pretty much the same...when i think of alignment mechanics i think of two opposites...light and dark....creation and destruction...But not honour and glory...The picking up souls is a nice idea, but why would leaving allied souls be count for glory? Do they then return to heaven or something? and if so, why is capturing them, denying that honourable? Same goes for the enemy version. Maybe take two sides of something and use THAT. IT makes for an easier read and a better thematic cohesiveness. The abilities seem fine on their own, nothing really to note there other then that it is way too much possibilities. I know that you can only have one version at a time, but it just asks for way too much planning to get the right alignment, especially because it resets with every level. Why doesn't her alignment change depending on the way she is played (enemy cast and damaging for glory, allied cast and support for honor) in stead of having to pick something up or not? I also really understand the support side of her...it makes for good supporting i think, but the supposed ADC side gives WAY too much utility. The ADC is usually a champion with little to no fancy cc or utility, and if they do, its usually one ability that does not do a lot of damage (Caitlin trap for instance...without the headshot).

All in all i REALLY think you have a good theme here. I love the lore and the idea behind your champion. I just think that her kit is too complicated and lacks thematic cohesiveness (in my opinion that its...). I hope the feedback i gave you helped :) you have my upvote!!

Hey, here is my review as promised

Passive

Passive An Ancient Power, Long Forgotten In addition to mana, Skyla also has a third resource bar, located below her mana bar, measuring Alignment.

If both Honor and Glory are equal upon leveling, Skyla is able to choose the enhancement she wants. Honor and Glory are reset everytime she ranks her ultimate.

Mana costs, range and cooldowns are not modified when an ability is aligned.

Righteous bonus: +25% attack speed and instances of damage rend enemies for 1% of their current health as true damage per aligned non-ultimate ability Pure Righteousnous bonus: +25% attack speed. Passive changed to Transcendent Piercing.

Vengeance bonus: +20% bonus attack damage and conversion of 5% of your damage per aligned non-ultimate ability Pure Vengeance bonus: +20% total attack damage. Passive changes to Leythi Blast

This will transform at level 16 (if pure form taken) into

Transcendent Piercing (Righteous)

Damage that Skyla deals will heal allies in a 400 radius around the enemy for 20% of the damage done. If allies would be healed by multiple instances of Transcendant Piercing, instances after the first are reduced to 25% strength. (Highest damage first)

Her autoattacks also strike directly at the target (ie. No longer a projectile)

or

Leythi Blast (Vengeance)

Skyla's autoattacks will expand as they fly, dealing damage to units 150 units to the left and right of the target. The position is determined by the position of the target perpendicular to Skyla's position.

Furthermore, her autoattacks gain up to 100% increased damage as she moves around.

Jump range: 300

I have been long thinking of making a sort of balance champion where different affects happen based of your current balance, however, while the current passive is way way too overloaded. The soul collection and the ability change is great! The bonus stats push it a bit, and the passive change is way way too strong and is a bit overwhelming.

I would say keep the soul and balance part, but take away the passive change.

If an enemy is inside the exclusion zone at any point, they will be knocked back to the closest edge. or

Q: Solace (Vengeance)

Skyla fires an arrow into the air for up to 4 seconds. When recast, Skyla summons the arrows to fall on target location, dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+1.25 total AD) to 20/40/60/80/100 (+2.5 total AD) physical damage and Grounding enemies for 1-2 seconds based on how much time it had spent in the air. If Skyla does >not recast Solace, it will fall based on the position of the cursor.

Radius: 100-300 (based on time charged)

Seems like a good ability in all three states, but the AD ratio is base form is a bit too high, and in the two other phases it is super super high. At 1000 range you would be able to deal 700+ damage from out of now where. My advice,

increase AoE to 250 - 500 scale down damage to .75 Bonus AD - 1.25 bonus AD on the base and on the other two forms have it be 1.0 bonus AD - 2.0 bonus AD

W

W Whispering Blade Skyla throws out her pocketed dagger, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+ 0.2 total AD) physical damage to the first target hit. The dagger remains in an enemy it hits for 4 seconds. If Skyla autoattacks the target, it will lacerate the wound, dealing an additional 5/8/11/14/17 (+0.05 total AD) physical damage a second for 4 seconds.

Mana: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 14/12.5/11/9.5/8 Range: 800 Projectile Speed: 2000

This can transform into

W: Serenity(Righteous)

Skyla throws out her pocketed dagger, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+ 0.5 total AD) physical damage to the first target hit. The dagger's strength judges them, stealing 20% of their movement speed, increasing as they get closer to Skyla (maximum 40% at 300 range). Skyla also generates an aura around her which gives allies half the stolen MS.

Radius: 600

or

W: Desolation

Skyla throws out her pocketed dagger, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+ 0.5 total AD) physical damage to the first target hit. The dagger remains in an enemy it hits for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, or when Skyla reactivates the ability, the dagger is summoned back to her, dealing 20/35/50/65/80 (+0.25 total AD) (+12% >missing health) physical damage.

Good ability, solid stats

E

E Tranquil Steps Skyla dashes a short distance. Upon arrival, she will unleash a barrage of arrows in a cone, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 (+0.2 total AD) (+0.5 AP) magic damage. The cone is targeted at the position of the cursor at the end of the dash.

Mana: 50 Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 Dash Range: 400 Barrage Range: 600 Cone Width: 75 degrees Projectile Speed: 1200

Notes: The barrage of arrows will not interrupt movement. The barrage will not fire if the dash is interrupted.

This can transform into

E: Divinity

Skyla dashes a short distance. Upon arrival, she will unleash a barrage of light in a cone, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.5 total AD) (+0.5 AP) physical damage, and slowing enemies hit by 25/31.25/37.5/43.75/50% for 2 seconds. Enemies caught in the middle of the cone will be stunned for 1.25 seconds instead. The cone is targeted at the position of the cursor at the end of the dash.

Cone Width: 75 degrees Stun Width: 30 degrees Projectile Speed: 1200

or

E: Dread

Skyla dashes a short distance. Upon arrival, she will unleash a barrage of shadows in a cone, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.5 total AD) (+0.5 AP) physical damage, and granting her the ability to attack while moving, as well as 20% movement speed for 3 seconds.

Cone Width: 75 degrees Projectile Speed: 1200

Notes:

The barrage of shadows will not interrupt movement. The barrage will not fire if the dash is interrupted.

Also good, might want to increase mana costs later on.

R

R Spirit Guides For the next 8 seconds, the Elder Spirits will slash through targets in a straight line, converging on enemies marked by her autoattacks. Each Elder Spirit will deal 25/50 (+0.1/0.15 total AD) physical damage when passing through an enemy.

Range: 800 Cooldown: 140/120 Mana: 100

This can transform into

R – Purification

After channeling for 0.5 seconds, Skyla ascends into the air and channels pure energy at a target champion. If channeled at an allied champion, they are not harmed, have an increased leash range, are healed completely by Transcendent Piercing from all sources and gain 25% movement speed for the duration. Damage instances can also critical strike.

Duration: 4 seconds Damage instances per second: 0.5 + (AS) Damage per instance: 1.2 total AD Initial Cast Range: 1000 Leash Range: 1500 Allied Cast Leash Range: 2000 Cooldown: 80 Mana: 100

or

R – Shadowfall

Skyla grants all nearby allied units a buff for 6 seconds, which causes them to stealth after moving for 1 second. Additionallly, while stealthed, allies gain 25% MS and the ability to walk through walls. Stealth ends after taking offensive action, standing still for 1 second, or when under the effect of hard crowd control.

Range: 400 Cooldown: 100

Mana: 100

Normal ult seems fine, but the 2nd is worded a bit weird and It is unclear what happens when it targets an enemy, I would change the ally target to a flat heal per sec over a duration, like ~300 (+ X) per sec for 10 sec.

3rd ult, I would remove the ability to move through walls and add a larger MS, around 40 - 45%, and maybe a deal an additional X (+ X) magic damage on their first AA from breaking stealth.

overall, seems like a solid kit that need the passive to be scaled down, a lot, and some revised scaling on Q.

Plz check back on my champion, I made some edits.

Hey there! Thanks for your review of Medeia, time I returned the favor :)

Lore

I skimmed ^^; sorry :'D There's a lot there ^^;

Stats

Just so you know, I skip the "what I intended to do" parts people sometimes put in brief for their kits because I feel the kit should speak for itself and I don't want to have any preconceived opinions going into it.

Base health is relatively high for a marksman, but not unreasonably so. Her Mana's seriously high, that's closer to mage-level. For comparison, Ezreal has 360 base mana as well and he's partially a mage. AD base and growth together are surprisingly high. Mana regen's upper-level for a marksman, armor's also high for a marksman. Attack speed is standard. Movespeed is relatively good, range is high for a marksman.

The most concerning thing in general for her statwise is that, while none of them grab me as "What the fuck, op" high (Mana depends on her skills), they're all very good, and if her kit is also strong then this easily a big problem. In particular, having a combination of upper-level health, armor, and range on a marksman is a cause for concern, as it would make her more difficult to trade with for other members of her class.

Kit

Innate:

Mmmmmmmmmmm...

It's unique and I like it, but even without seeing her actual skills this could easily be a huge problem. It sounds like Skyla's incredibly versatile, and that combined with her above-average stats is very dangerous from a balance standpoint. She could easily end up like Ekko and be way too overloaded to ever be balanceable.

Her innate is also really wordy XD I had to go over it two or three times before I got it all.

+25% attack speed and instances of damage rend enemies for 1% of their current health as true damage per aligned non-ultimate ability

Bad. She gets half of a free bork just for hitting level 16 to go with her good base stats.

+20% bonus attack damage and conversion of 5% of your damage per aligned non-ultimate ability

Also bad. She gets a free physical-version Rabadon's for hitting level 16.

What does "conversion of 5% of your damage per aligned non-ultimate ability" mean?

Transcendent Piercing (Righteous)

So she's also a tank and brawler's best friend...

Leythi Blast (Vengeance)

More aoe damage!

I haven't even gotten to her actual skills yet and I'm already thinking she's just too strong. Her passive is ridiculously good and gives her a lot of free goodies. Another issue is it's hugely Burden of Knowledge. Enemies have to know how she works and how her Honor and Glory system works to know how to deal with her.

Q

I really don't like that it's ground-targeted aoe with high range and has a low cost for her high base mana and regen to boot. I feel like she'd be way too abusive in lane since she can easily poke her targets from out of retaliation range.

And I haven't even gotten to the fact that this upgrades ):

As for her Q upgrades, 250% total AD scaling on an ability with CC elements. That's about all I have to say about that.

W

The base version of this skill is actually a bit "eh" compared to her Q, but the proc is still very easy to trigger since she has high attack range.

Light upgrade's too useful, movespeed is a very important stat. W is just huge damage.

E

She's got a dash too, I see. At least it's relatively short-ranged.

Being able to attack while moving is incredibly overpowered on a ranged character. Consider how hard Kalista's been to balance, and she has to stop for a longer than usual time to attack.

R

Why'd you get on my case for giving Medeia a stealth she can't activate when in combat when Skyla has an aoe stealth?

Final thoughts

She's just got too much.

You put a lot of work into this and I respect you for that. This was a labor of love - I can tell because the amount of work is similar to my own concepts and I spend hours on them - but she's just got too much going for her. On top of good base stats she's extremely versatile, able to go Righteous for more utility or Vengeance for more damage. Despite being strong just in her normal form to begin with she's not punished for losing lane because she has utility and she's rewarded heavily for winning it because she has high and versatile damage. There'd frankly never be a reason to pick anybody but her ever.

Sorry I can't give you a more positive review :/

It'd be a bitch balancing numbers because I feel like you'll only upgrade certain abilities some ways... cool, but unrealistic

Crazy Cool concept, I love it when people take the time to go into such neat and in-depth concepts. I would love it if you would submit it to my board.

So sense you looked at my concept, Zingor. I would look at yours in return. Keep in mind I have seen this buzzing around before but I just didn't get around to reading it. Anyways I will be going over the kit as I am not a lore savvy person.

Passive Right off the bat I can see that there is a lot to go over. From a players stand point that might draw people away from her just based on having to take in so much. Anyways you have a passive here which is very similar to a tipping scale. I have seen these done before but not in the form of soul collecting. While most people do light and dark / good and evil, you do Honor and Glory. Which I will give you props for as they are better concepts. Though the collecting of them having souls of different creatures worth different amounts is quite the numbers game. I would personally make every soul just worth one, and instead put a max limits on each end of Honor and Glory. Like you have 10 limit for each end. Getting Glory will minus Honor and getting Honor will minus Glory. It would make achieving a perfect balance a bit more satisfying in my eyes. Getting a little passive stat boost depending on the side you are on is nice, but the complete changing of the passive I don't agree with. Now for the changing abilities per ultimate rank I do like, don't get me wrong. I just don't believe the passive should change to have Transcendant Piercings or Leythi Blast. Instead it should be the Pure Righteous or Pure Vengeance bonus, just so you don't over load a kit. Having too much stuff in a kit means they lose a distinct role to play. If they can do everything then why play any one else? Putting that thought out there for you. Onto the topic of the Pure Righteous and Pure Vengeance by the way. Why it is okay to keep it the way it is I think you can actually turn these to be oriented to a certain play style. While reading the rest of the kit, it might be good to split the Righteous and the Vengeance to distinct play styles, like Righteous is basic attack based and Vengeance is caster based. You can make small tweaks to the passive to like for Pure Righteous sense she would gain attack speed from it already you can turn it to where basic attacks rend the enemy, and for Pure Vengeance sense she gains attack damage it can be to where damage from abilities are converted to true damage. Now these are simply suggestions to make her feel more distinct and choice oriented.

Q In general I think this is very well rounded ability. Sure the scaling might be high, but it does take time to get that much damage. My only complaint here is that it takes a bit too much time. 5 seconds is a long time to get the full damage and benefit. Might want to consider reducing how long the arrows will remain airborne. Other then that each form has a different utility that I like. Question on the exclusion zone, does it stop dashes or leaps going through it?

W Once again another good ability. However I have one major problem with this one. Serenity, the Righteous form is a bit broken. Not being able to get closer to her from when they are hit is just broken on all ends. I can understand wanting to keep enemies away. This however is what you call anti fun cause it doesn't give the enemy a chance to do anything about it. I might convert this into perhaps a strong slow if they are moving towards her, but not away. Other then that I believe the other forms of this ability are fine.

E Now I will admit I do have a concept that has a very similar ability in the form of a dash, cone strike. So it is nice to see that played here. Though when I look at the differences in both Righteous and Vengeance on this ability, I don't see a lot of diversity. Both instances provide a slow and then the choice here is either get a stun or a super slow. In the end they both do the same thing, which doesn't make them feel distinct. I would look for trade offs with this ability. Not only is this a dash that provides mobility but for each form after the transformation what do you want them to give? Safety is one thing to consider, damage is another, then utility is also something to consider. You want to make people question like they could gain, but at the loss of something else. I highly recommend changing the effects for the transformed abilities on this one.

R Now the none transformed ult is actually really cool. In can see it in my head how they come out dealing damage and then reeking havoc on the enemies. My question for this one is how many spirits are summoned? Cause you say each spirit does damage but how many are there? Though when I look at the transformed ults, they take an entirely different route. Purification just seems like a healing beam if anything. But you can deal damage with it too on a targeted enemy champion that scales off attack speed and critical strike. Personally I don't like it just based on some of the mechanics, though I don't have any suggestions here. Just going to say it probably need a change. For shadowfall it is a bit better. Though you are taking pretty big aspects from Rengars ultimate only applying it to an entire team. Once again going to suggest changing this one to make her ults a bit more unique. Like the none transformed ult is prefect just the transformations I believe need some work.

Overall I can see some places that could use some work. It appears to be an over loaded kit at first but you can sand out those rough edges or those unneeded effects.

really really awesome champ design. sort of a super kha in adc form. but I admit its a bit to complex and loaded for me her vengeance ult seems way to op, especially in solo q
