The Random-onium Epic Fall-Time Halloween Extravaganza Event-A-Palooza!
Ok so I'll start this post off by apologizing for the title. It needed to be able to catch the eyes of board-goers, so I figured that a string of words that long, if nothing else, would probably entice at least a few people.
So I recently discovered this awesome online tool called Seventh Sanctum. It's a random generator for spells and other things, and someone had a really good idea; use the spell generator for making champion abilities. This gave me an idea.
Use this resource to have people make champions based around these abilities.
The process is completely random. You set the generator to 5 spells and one of the complexity levels, and then hit Generate More Spells! I think this would be a good thing for people who have trouble making their own champions but want to get some ideas. Anyways, here are the guidelines:
- Use this link to get your spells: http://seventhsanctum.com/generate.php?Genname=spell
- You get up to 3 refreshes to find ability names you are comfortable working with.
- The first three spells in the list MUST be the Q, W, and E abilities, though which one is which is up to you.
- The last two in the list are the ultimate and passive, chosen at your discretion.
- A lore is not necessary, but the numbers on the abilities and a bit of basic info like name and title for the champion is required.
- Creativity is very much encouraged.
This is a low-key competition that I'm just planning on starting right now. I'll probably try to do one every month if it catches on with the community. If not a whole lot of people enter...well then I suppose this will be the only time. At this point I'll be looking to myself and a few of my friends to do judging based on the following criteria:
Creativity (10)
Originality (20)
Kit Cohesiveness (10)
Amount of Balance (10)
Post a link to the champion you make here on this page if you decide to enter. I'll reply with something that confirms your entry...maybe even just straight up "Entry confirmed." At the end of the given the first period I will no longer accept entries and I will begin to judge based on the criteria.
10/17/16 - Competition Starts for the first time 10/25/16 - Entries are no longer taken 10/26/16 - Judges are announced and judging begins 10/30/16 - Judging ends and winners are announced
Hope this idea appeals to some people. I'm eager to see something like this bear fruit here in the League community. Without further ado I'll be signing off for now.
Best of luck to you all on the Fields of Justice and as always; Stay Frosty.
