[Champion Concept] Harrowmont, The Ruined King
Name: Harrowmont
Title: The Ruined King
Role: Fighter/ Tank/ Jungler
Type: Melee
Explanation: So I recently got caught up on the Shadow Isles Lore with the new Yorick rework that came out not too long ago. Somewhere in what I read it mentioned a nameless king who's something-or-other emotion brought about the eventual creation of the Shadow Isles. Well, I had a moment of revelation and quickly sat down at my desk to type up this idea. I hope you guys enjoy, and I look forward to getting feedback on how he is.
Lore: {See 'Shadow Isles Lore'}
Abilities:
[Passive] - Till Death Do Us Part: It is impossible to kill what is already dead. Once every several seconds instead of dying, Harrowmont will instead revert to a ghostly form that allows him to move freely. A Soul Echo will be placed where he died that begins to gather energy, restoring his health bar by 9, 14, 19% every second until he is back to full health. At that point, he will be resurrected wherever his ghost is. The Echo can be damaged to increase the amount of time Harrowmont spends dead, but it will never be able to take fatal damage itself. The Echo does not benefit from any armor and magic resist Harrowmont has. Whilst in his ghostly form, Harrowmont is capable of an enhanced recall that only takes 3 seconds. The Soul Echo is unable to be targeted by teleportation spells or abilities, and Harrowmont MUST be on the Summoning Platform to buy items if his passive has triggered.
Health Cost: None Cooldown: 220, 200, 180
[Q] - Bleeding Heart: Harrowmont impales himself with his sword, fearing all enemies within 750, 850, 950, 1050, 1150 units of himself for 0.7, 1.0, 1.3, 1.6, 2 seconds and draining 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5% of his current health. Afterwards, he gains 10, 18, 26, 34, 42% additional attack damage for the next 6 seconds, or he can reactivate his Q to slam the sword into the ground. If he reactiavtes Bleeding Heart, a shockwave of Black Mist explodes forward, knocking enemies aside or up based on their position to the shockwave, and dealing 60, 75, 90, 105, 120, 135 (+70% of AD) physical damage. He cannot reactivate his Q after 4 seconds have passed since the intial activation, and he loses the bonus damage if he does.
Health Cost: 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5% of current health Cooldown: 18, 17, 16, 15, 14
[W] - Burning Corruption: Passively, Harrowmont will gain 14, 18, 22, 26, 30% additional lifesteal on his 4th auto attack. When activated, Harrowmont begins to excrete Black Mist from his body that damages all enemies within 500, 550, 600, 650, 700 units of his body. The damage is 20, 33, 46, 59, 62 (+15% of AP) magic damage per second, and Harrowmont takes 10, 12, 16, 18, 22% less damage while Burning Corruption is toggled on (not applied to the health cost).
Health Cost: 14, 20, 26, 32, 38 health per second Cooldown: 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1 second (Toggle)
[E] - Bow to the King: Every attack Harrowmont makes against enemy minions, neutral monsters, or champions that deals damage to them will mark them with Bow… for the next 5 seconds. During this time, additional damage Harrowmont deals will leech 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25% of their current health to Harrowmont. Once the duration is up, he cannot re-apply Bow… to them for the next 15 seconds. If Bow to the King is activated, Harrowmont will force all those afflicted with Bow… to their knee in reverence to him. The afflicted enemies take 75, 100, 125, 150, 175 (+50% of AD) physical damage and are rooted for 1.25 seconds.
Health Cost: 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3% of current health per enemy Cooldown: 30, 28, 26, 24, 22
[R] - What Creates Us...: Whenever an ally dies around Harrowmont, he has a 8, 10, 13% chance to resurrect a Hollowed Soldier in their place that will follow him for as long as they live and attack his targets. This effect cannot occur on Champions more than once every 90 seconds and Hollowed Soliders cannot be resurrected.
Will Be Our Undoing: When activated, Harrowmont switches healing with damage dealt to himself. Now all damage he takes that is not true or pure will heal him, while any healing he recieves will deal damage. Damage received through healing is doubled and does an additional 50, 75, 100 true damage to him over 5 seconds, with every successive heal refreshing the duration. Enemy champions can target him with allied heals while this is toggled. At ranks 1 and 2, Harrowmont will still take 50%, 25% damage (respectively) from turrets. At rank 3, they will instead deal anywhere from 1-15% damage to him. Lifesteal on Harromont, including health regained on his 4th autoattack, will damage him by double the amount he would regain. Any health Harrowmont would gain back through passive means deals 3x the amount of damage it would heal; this does not include the aforementioned life steal and 4th auto attack.
Health Cost: None Cooldown: 10 (Toggle) (At all ranks)
Hollowed Soldier Stats: Health (Minion): 175 (+10, 20, 30% of Harrowmont's) Health (Champion): 400 (+15, 30, 45% of Harrowmont's) Armor: 30 (+10, 20, 30% of Harrowmont's) Magic Resist: 20 (+10, 20, 30% of Harrowmont's) Movement Speed: 370 Attack Speed: 0.7 (+15, 30, 45% of Harrowmont's) Damage (Minion): 30 (+20, 30, 40% of Harrowmont's) Damage (Champion): 70 (+40, 50, 60% of Harrowmont's)
Description
Harrowmont was clearly once a king. But where lavish ornaments and a billowing cape the color of crimson once rested, there are now only faded and tarnished gems and greying tatters. He holds his great-sword, Mist Breaker, in his right hand and drags it slightly along the ground as he walks. Once he must have been a very handsome man; the structure of the face is there. Now all that's left is graying flesh, glowing hollow eyes, and sunken features. The plate and chainmail armor, worn from ages spent wandering a shattered land, is tattered and falling to pieces on his form, revealing grayed ribs and a hollow inside to his body. However, despite the dull crown atop Harrowmont's head and the rags his corpse is clothed in, Mist Breaker remains as sharp and polished as it once was. Those who have encountered The Ruined King say that the blade almost seems to sing, and those who survive are generally too afraid to form any plausible explanation. Perhaps it is the root of his corruption; Harrowmont cannot be found without the blade. Whatever the reason, his mind remains sentient even as his body slowly withers with the ages.
Gameplay
Harrowmont should be played as a hybrid tank/fighter who excels in punishing his enemy with empowered attacks and excellent early game sustain. With proper use of his passive, surviving and even winning potentially lethal 2v1s top lane or jungle becomes do-able. Enemies that are overly aggressive will be punished for fighting you under turret thanks to his Q's fear and the root on his E. Once he hits level 6, Harrowmont will become a monster to gank because he'll be able to completely flip the fight in his favor by having what hurts him, heal him. Added to that is his potentially small army of Hollowed Soldiers he will be able to have following him, which will boost his damage dealing and sieging capabilities.
Interactions: Harrowmont's voice comes like Sona's; his body can no longer form sound but his mind is still in contact with his Summoner
When picked: "I will atone for the monsters I created."
Movement: "Death drags on eternally." "I will reduce them to mist." "I can hear a battle raging..." "Do the voices echo in your mind as well?" "Only an honest death will cure you."
Attacking: "Grant me your strength, o transient soul." "The sacrifice of one for the betterment of many." "You will bow." "Your life is as meaningless as time."
Recalling: "Grant me the reprive of death so I may be with my beloved once more."
Taunt: Harrowmont creates an orb of ethereally blue glowing energy in his hand and pushes it slowly into his chest "There is nothing more dangerous than a soul with nothing else to lose." Or : "Come champion, and claim your place in the world."
Joke: Harrowmont's left arm falls off, and throughout the joke a black mist re-attaches it "My body is...well, it was a temple." Or : "This kind of thing happens all the time."
Well I hope you enjoyed reading. I've looked at a few of his abilities and I see problems with them, but I'd like to hear opinions that aren't mine. Feel free to comment and please don't down vote without explaining why. Best of luck to you all on the Fields of Justice, and as always: Stay Frosty.[slayer-jinx-wink]
