Attributes: Marksman
Lore “That’s 4 more gone in 2 days...” “Dammit Jack. What’s going on here.” “I don’t know. Either someone deranged is on the loose, or this place is haunted...” Jack responded. “I’m calling it in.” Jack nodded, and the man left to make the call. “Hello? Yes, hello. This is Roger Thomas. I’m here to report 4 deaths....” No response “Did you hear me? I said I’m calling to report 4 deaths” No response Roger returned to find Jack kneeled to the body of a smaller man. Jack stared silently until Roger broke the silence. “This damn communicator isn’t worth anything... What’s wrong? Jack?” Jack turned to face Roger, while pointing to a clue within the corpse. Roger was staring into the hole of a bullet wound, lodged within the head of the victim. “Murder...” Roger spoke softly. “Yep. Bloody, bloody murder.” Responded Jack. He took his hat off and whispered to himself something Roger could not hear. “Well we can’t just sit around here. Who’s doing all this?” Said Roger. “Don’t ask me.” Jack simply said. “Load these up. I’m gonna drive back to the station and report this.” Roger said after a moment of silence. “Use the communicator” Jack responded “You got cotton in your ears? It’s not working.” “Then use mine.” And Jack tossed the communicator to Roger. “Thanks”. Roger prepared to call the station, but got no answer after 3 tries. “Not working.” Roger said. He handed the communicator back to Jack and headed for his car. “Let me come too.” Jack responded. “Why? Load the bodies” “Just let me go too.” “... If you insist.” After a 15 minute drive, the two officers arrived in front of an unusually dark Workplace. They exchanged looks twice, before speaking at the same time with the same phrase. “What is going on...” A ghastly screech of pain sounded from inside the house. Jack was quick to run inside, but Roger was more careful. Roger saw nothing from outside the building except the small light that shone on Jack as he searched around the station quickly, and sprinted up the stairs. “Jack! Stop!” Roger shouted. Jack did not listen. The cry sounded again, this time Jack responded with his own shouting. He cried out that he was on the way. “Roger followed Jack keeping an eye on the rest of the building, passing through what he could not identify within the darkness. In the corner of his eye, he saw a silhouette with eyes, The eyes stared at him calmly, and the body made not one movement. It was clear to Roger that he was in danger. He ran upstairs to tell Jack. “Jack! Jack! We need to leave.” He shouted “Why? I need to save this lady.” “We’re in danger Jack. Let’s leave.” “No! I’m gonna free her.” “But I’m telling y-” Jack hushed Roger. He carefully leaned against the wall to detect a sound. He was not mistaken. Roger rushed downstairs to see that there was a growing fire from downstairs whose flames throw vibrations in all directions. “Fire...” “Let’s go!” Roger shouted! He rushed downstairs. Roger looked where he saw the figure to see that the silhouette had disappeared entirely. He also looked around to find what he stepped through to be tens of corpses, all bloodied up. “Roger! Help me!” Jack called. Roger panicked upstairs again, and found Jack's hands caught in the ropes. He tried to free Jack, but had no effect. The doors defended from the fires for only a few minutes. The fires made their way into the room, and the smoke spaced its way around the building, leaving no space for Jack, the Damsel, or Roger. “Now what?” Roger said. He knew there was nothing left to do. “Who did this?” Jack responded. “Don’t ask me...” Jack fell to the floor, with a violent cough. He looked up to see that the tied woman had passed out from the smokes. Roger finally fell down as well, slowly drifting out of consciousness. Hours later, Roger had weakly awoken, as the only one of the 3 to survive. He had awoken to hear a dark voice. He turned his head to face the boots of a tall man. “You're worth a lot, you know.” The man spoke. He finally loaded a single revolver and aimed it towards the paralyzed officer. “Bullseye” https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Fd0mAR7F6bI/maxresdefault.jpg
