Have any programmers that play League ever considered taking concepts on the boards and starting a new game solely just from player concepts on here? Just wondering.
Riot could make another game completely. and rake in the dough.
The "rake in the dough" part is the biggest issue.
Riot wouldn't do well to split the playerbase between two almost perfectly similar sets of game mechanics, and a player taking ideas from the boards runs into all sorts of crazy IP copyright issues if they're lifting them wholesale.
Although I'd love if someone whipped up a League of Legends basic mechanics template in UE4 or Unity, so that those of us with scripting experience could mock up champion kits for demos.
...maybe I'll look into that when I'm bored.
I mean i'd "donate" to a group to design a game with some of my concepts in it just saying. yeah the trade mark and copy right issue is one thing but riot has a delete discussion button. Just saying
