Toxic Ivern

we all know that is a big green friendly cuddly tree father and loves all of nature and tries to do no harm. but what if one day........he snapped. the forest was harvested and destroyed leaving all the critters homeless and in it's place a bustling city was built up. Ivern is outside the city limits trying to comfort the woodland critters but he knows that the animals have nowhere to call home now and this big city was at fault. and so, it was time Ivern put his root down. he walked right into the city and was determined to find who was in charge. but with all the CO2 in the air from all the machines and buildings it was hard for Ivern to stay happy and cheery. the smoke infected his brain and began to corrupt him. leaves wilted and in place mushrooms grew, his branches became pitch black and he began to embrace the city life as his own. no longer did he care for the critters of the forest. no. the city was his home now. and he was no longer nice either. he was as nasty as they get. he took up a new home near a power plant and has never gone back to the woodland life.
