[Champion Concept] Demetrius the Mind Blower

Short Lore :


Demetrius is an evil telepathic mage who lives in a forgotten country in Runterra. He's also known as one of the Illiyan's masters, who gave him knowledge about killing stuff. He could read everyone's mind, to find out what they want to do and then change how they think if he doesn't want the think to be done. His goal is to kill every single enemy he has in Runterra to expand his little country to whole Runterra.

Gameplay :


In game Demetrius is a utility mage, taking the mid or toplane. He can negate crowd control by applying it to the enemy save allies and work well in teamfights. Also he doesn't have to be in shop to buy items. He's also a good roamer due to the power of his abilities to setup a kill.


Stats :


AD : 54 +1.9 HP : 473 + 82 MP: 303 + 57 HP REGEN : 7.00 + 0.69 MP REGEN : 7.24 + 0.57 ATKSPEED : 0.625 + 2.5% AR : 17 + 4 MR : 30 + 0 MOVE SPEED : 335 ATK RANGE : 450

Abilities :


Passive : Telepathy : Demetrius can buy an item from anywhere on the map. How ever he recieves 3 less gold for killing a minion and he canno't buy potions while not at base.


First Ability (Q) : Brain Block : Demetrius throws a bolt in a line striking the first enemy champion it hits. The bolt deals damage and after 3 seconds it stuns the target. The cooldown starts when the stun ends.

Damage Dealt : 65/105/145/185/225 + (100% AP). Stun Duration : 1.5 seconds. Cooldown : 10/9/8/7/6 Mana Cost : 50/55/60/65/70/75


Second Ability (W) : Mind Read : If Demetrius is crowd controlled he can target an enemy champion in range to apply the crowd control ability to them and damage them.

Damage Dealt : 70/110/150/190/230 + (75% AP) Cooldown : 15/14.5/14/13.5/13 Mana Cost : 95


Third Ability (E) : Mind Barrier : Creates a barrier to an ally or enemy champion (himself included). If an ability hits the ally or the enemy with the barrier on them the ability will jump off the barrier and do its effect the caster. However if an ability is cast while holding the barrier, the ability won't go pass the barrier, and does its effect to the holder of the barrier.

Barrier Duration : 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds. Cooldown : 21/20/19/18/17 Mana Cost : 60


Ultimate Ability (R) : Vertigo : Knock up a target enemy champion for a short duration and deal damage. The champion will then fall on the ground knocking up every enemy around him for double the duration and deal double damage.

Damage Delt : 130/190/250 + (40% AP) to the target and 260/380/500 + (80% AP) to every enemy nearby the target. Knock Up Duration : 0.75 seconds for the target and 1.5 seconds for every enemy nearby the target. Radius of Knock up : 600 units Cooldown : 120/110/100 Mana Cost : 100/125/150


**Note : ** Probably everyone thinks that the passive is overpowered, but all of Demetrius' abilities can hit only champions, so he can't farm with his abilities and he has low range (450).


Leveling Order :


Max R -> Q -> W -> E

Q is his main damage tool because his W has a longer cooldown and requires a crowd control to cast, while E is a utility spell who doesn't scale well


Lane Combos :


1.Use your E on yourself when you want to block the enemies main damage tool and hit them with Q. 2.Use your W on the enemy when crowd controlled and then follow up with an easy Q. 3.When you want to farm cast E on the enemy to prevent it to cast abilities to you. If he casts an ability he will affect himself.


Items : He synergises well with AP items.

Your kit demonstrates a lack of understanding of counterplay and synergy. Demetrius has two devastatingly powerful targeted spells, an insanely long stun, yet his abilities manage to have no synergy with each other. His W and E are purely reactive effects that negate what enemies can do to him, making him powerful only in the sense that he is unfair.

Do you expect that to be balanced by the fact that he's literally unable to farm yet for some reason never needs to be at base to buy items? It's not like he has any sustain, so he'll still have to recall, he's just being punished for having extremely powerful abilities.

Sorry if this seems harsh, but I thought I'd leave detailed feedback so you can improve your idea. As a side note, you might want to come up with a more mature title than "mind blower," that's probably where the downvotes are coming from.
