He would be a tank think Vi kind of tank rather than say Amumu

P:Gain bonus armor penetration at certain levels Q: A sweep with knock back similar to draven's stand aside but its melee W:Self buff maybe even allies Steroid or Defense boost E: A charge/Joust (knocks back ) R: Earth Breaker: jump into the sky and stab the earth creating a circular shattered field enemy who are within the field at the end of the ult are rooted (think Zyra ult but roots instead of knockup)

Any idea for better abilities?

Lore: His name is Marcellus, Marcellus unlike Leona did not grew up with pantheon however he is most definitely one of Pantheon closest maybe even his best friend. As warriors of the Rakkor they are not merely friend but they are rivals, who push each other to their limits. When Pantheon was chosen as Rakkor finest and given the relics of Zeronia. Marcellus felt proud but also sadden that his rival have strive so far ahead of him but believing himself to be Pantheon rival and equal he went in search for power. His search lead him to a temple at the base of the mountain he found a dead civilization but in those ruins he found his Great lance a relic equal to the relics of Zeronia.

Another possible route is instead of one giant lance he can wield two smaller lance

NOTE these would have less armor to be more close to Pantheon rather than Leona

Would really like more lance wielding champions(or more from the rakkor),but I think giving a champ a lance is not enough to make him/her stand out.

Currently every champion brings something new to the game,from a gameplay perspective and a thematic perspective.Take Ekko for example,he is a street boy and a time machine user(no zilean doesn't do that) and many of his skills are unique in their concept(his passive is the only thing that isn't really new)

However we already have a lance user with JarvanIV and arguably XinZhao. So just a simple lance user isn't enough to be unique.He/she should also have something else to differentiate him from the other lance users(J4 is a prince and uses equipment made of a dragon,while Xin is the chinese warrior-guy)

Ability wise I'd recommend to change his ult,because having him shatter the ground sounds a lot like J4s ult just with damage instead of terrain.

Honestly I wanted more lance wielding champs and I saw this as an opportunity to create someone who can explore the people of Rakkor. When you compare him to JarvanIV and XinZhao who already have lore it does make him feel lacking. So let add some lore and give him a name. Marcellus.

NOTES

Marcellus is a positive guy i would say his Rivalry with Pantheon is similar to Maitou Guy and Kakashi Hatake from Naruto. where Marcellus = Guy who is high strong running around yelling YOUTH, Pantheon = Kakashi both mysterious and was chosen for greatness. Although Marcelluss went to seek for more power it not out of envy towards Pantheon but more toward his feeling that he must be worthy and become stronger to call himself Pantheon rival.

The temple he found is of course the Lunari so this open so interaction he may have with Diana. As to why there ere no Solari elder forbidding the use of such weapons there could be multiple reason.

  1. They are all dead because of Diana
  2. Solari doesn't have to much say on Rakkor military, Leona being a special case (being save by the sun)
  3. They don't know its Lunari in origin (most elder are dead)

One of the main purpose of this champ is to flesh out and add more to Rakkor

Overall that sounds like a nice character,but I think that he needs something more thematically,being just a simply lance user isn't really that special compared to the other champs,even if his lance is magical.

You have to look at it from this perspective: Marcellus certainly adds a new and unique story approach(and well if you changed his kit,he could surely add some unique gameplay-elements as well),but he doesn't add anything thematically.

I mean if Marcellus was added to the game and someone really wants to play a lance user,he/she would have the choice between Marcellus,J4 and Xin Zhao.But if a person wants to play as a royal warrior or Warrior with dragon armor,then they could only play J4 and if they want to play as a chinese warrior,then their only choice is Xin Zhao. Marcellus however lacks something like this. He adds to the choice of lance users,but doesn't add any new choice himself.

How about in addition to his lance he also embody a gladiator i would say a spartan but that all Pantheon, also Rakkor is more than spartan Diana, her name at least derive from the roman goddess of the moon. So Rakkor can embody alot of the Roman and Greek's as well so having him resemble a Gladiator would be cool. But lore wise Xin zhao is already a Gladiator and also Alistar maybe some other armor from the Greeks and Romans. Also we have Jaximus which can weird thing out. http://www.leaguesplash.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Jaximus-Ch.jpg but those are skin and XinZhao doesn't really portrayal the gladiator theme in game

I think giving him a gladiator-like vibe does sound really cool:)
