Quest, Icathia's Blade

Passive: 5th Stance Quest has 5 different stances, each altering his abilities and granting different bonuses. 1st Stance activites alternate stances. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Stance last 10 seconds. 5th Stance lasts 5 seconds.

1st - Stance of Favor: 150 aa range, +10% CDR, +5% Lifesteal. (Sword held with 1 hand, pointing toward the ground to his right side) 2nd - Stance of Murder: 125 aa range, +20% AD, +20% Armor Shred. (Sword held above head with 2 hands) 3rd - Stance of Protection: 150 aa range, +15% Damage Reduction, +30% Tenacity. (Sword held with 2 hands slightly off to the side at a 45 degree angle, ready to block attacks) 4th - Stance of Alacrity: 175 aa range, +10% MS, +30% Attack Speed. (Sword held in reverse, like an assassin, slightly crouched) 5th - Stance of Legend: -75% MS. (Sword held in sheath with 1 hand on the sword and the other on the sheath, crouched)

Q: 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 A swift strike in a vertical line dealing 50/70/90/110/130+(80% Attack Damage) Physical damage, and applying on-hit effects. Activates Stance of Murder(2nd). Recast to deactivate 2nd Stance.

3rd: Stun enemies hit for 0.8/0.9/1/1.1/1.2 seconds. 4th: Strike twice horizontally while moving, each strike deals 40/45/50/55/60+(50% Attack Damage) Physical damage.

W: 8/7.75/7.5/7.25/7 Stabs sword in the ground and gains a shield for 30/40/50/60/70+(10% Bonus Health) for 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 seconds. Healing for 50% of damage dealt to the shield. Activates Stance of Protection(3rd). Recast to deactivate 3rd Stance.

2nd: Shield lasts 1 second and then explodes dealing 6/7/8/9/10% of enemies max health as magic damage. 4th: Shield lasts 1/1.3/1.6/1.9/2.2 seconds and has Crowd Control Immunity instead of healing.

E: 12/11/10/9/8 | Radius 300, Sphere 400. A circle slash on the ground, deals 70/120/170/220/270+(70% Ability Power & 30% Attack Damage) Physical damage, and creating a temporary sphere of wind for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds that increases allies move speed and attack speed by 10/15/20/25/30% while inside. Activates Stance of Alacrity(4th). Recast to deactivate 4th Stance.

2nd: The spin deals an additional 30/40/50/60/70+(50% Attack Damage) Physical damage that extends 100 units instead of creating a wind sphere. 3rd: The sphere of wind now grounds enemies, slows them by 30%, and stops projectiles in place(continuing once the sphere ends).

R: 160/130/100 | Range 450/500/550 Activates Stance of Legend(5th) for 5 seconds. If not recast it refunds 50% of the cooldown. While 5th Stance is active: Reactivate to dash in a direction and deal a percent of champion's max health depending on how low Quest's health is(0.4% per 1% missing life) true damage to all champions passed through as true damage, slowing them by 80% for 2 seconds before dealing the damage. During the 2 second slow Quest holds his sword in front of him halfway in the sheath, unable to cast abilities, and then after 2 seconds he quickly sheathes it and exits 5th Stance. Damage is avoided if Quest dies before he sheathes his sword.

Basic Lore: Icathian warrior, wielding a single edged sword. He was in Icathia during its fall but fell himself and became unconscious close to death, somehow he managed to survive and now blames himself for all that occurred. He ventured into The Rupture near Icathia, seeking redemption from his sins, but then he realized that he was the last Icathian alive(to his knowledge), he was the only memory left of his homeland, if he died then it would all be forgotten. He returned to the surface and gathered all that he could from his past home, books and scripts, anything related to their culture and way of living. A forge stood still, and he looked back toward the rupture... Grabbing a pick he went and broke off a small pillar of whatever matter comprised it, and gathered it back to the forge. With what little knowledge he had of forging he heated up the furnace and crafted a single-edged blade, fitting it into an icathian hilt which looked to have been constructed months ago. In defense of Icathia's memory, and for defeat of its victor. He studied different books of tactics and battle, as many as he could find, learning many different styles of fighting. Or something like that. And somehow he got locked in time or something. Maybe he tried using something Zilean left behind, and jumped forward in time. That'd work.

Mechanics: Quest works very different from other champions, closest to Udyr. Though instead of having different abilities affect his stances, his stances affect his abilities! So like a reverse Udyr.

R active is like a final samurai scene from a movie, getting stronger as you lose life.

Basically my take of having a champion who has very interactive skills, potentially very fun to play.

Noted: I went with Icathia because it has the least amount of champions currently. And Q name because Quinn gets lonely.

first got to love the design and concept behind the character and the skills (but i do not have enough knowledge to say if it would be balanced or a great champion, still love it though). I was wondering though about the stances and how they would look, as is he always holding it in one hand? besides from the "Stance of Alacrity". just having trouble imagining it. keep up the good work.

Realy nice design.

Few notes. I would definitly remove 5. stance. As it should be finisher. You dont need to fight after your enemy is dead.

I would remove stance modificator from abilities that starts that stance. Example: When you cast Q, you enter to Stance of Murder. Second cast, by your design, ends that stance. I would reset duration of that stance without making second strike. That would allow remain in stance you want to be in a longer time and making opening for skill chain more forgeting.

Skill chains. Next thing i would modify is that cast on stance would revert you into 1 stance. Why not let people chain your abilities the way they need to.

Imagine. You poke with Q few time. With 2. stance initiate with E. Enemy flash after getting high burst. Follow with 4.stance Q. He know, that he woulnt run so he goes full in. 2.stance W -> sheild and burst with magic damage. Ultimate execution and recaling for triniti edge.

Definitly high skill cap, but highly rewarding if played right.

Updated his skills: Stances now last for 10 seconds or until deactivated. Stances don't grant bonuses for their corresponding ability. Ultimate now affects all champions passed through, is a skill shot, and has no base damage. Deals true damage instead of directly executing. 5th Stance is just for recasting R now, allowing him to only move at 75% speed and granting no bonuses.
