More beginner friendly adc starting items?
I don't know about anyone else, but ever since the minion's gold changes i haven't been able to do anything when i play in the adc role, as i miss most of the cannon's and the enemy rapidly gets to the point where they're 2 items up on me and they comfortably stay there wreaking teamfights. Now i realize this is partially because of the two item powerspike riot is currently trying to fix. But i'm afraid that won't fix my inability to play my favorite role, so i'm here to brainstorm a potential fix that will make it easier for people with bad csing skills too stay relavant, while still giving the skilled players a way to dominate their lane and/or game. My main focus here is to try and make cull a better alternative to doran's blade by giving both a unique identity (rather than both seemingly trying to do the same job in different ways)
first let's look at my change to doran's blade: Doran's Blade: cost: 450g 8 AD 80 Hp +5 life on hit Unique Passive: Takedowns restore 1% of missing health and mana. Unique Passive: Basic attacks against enemy champions does 2 bonus true damage.
This change is meant to make doran's blade a better tool for the lane bullies, while making it not so great for sustain. Also, the mini triumph passive helps cement the idea that this is for the more aggressive laners. The numbers would probably need a lot of fine tuning as i'm not well versed in the balance of league of legends.
With that in mind, let's take a look at my change to cull: Cull: cost: 450g 5 AD 3% Life Steal Unique Passive: Each attack against a lane minion deals a bonus 5 true damage. Unique Passive: Killing a lane minion grants 1 additional gold. Killing 100 lane minions grants an additional 350 bonus gold immediately and disables this passive.
This change makes cull better to last hit with, and gives it more sustain than doran's blade (when only last hitting at least), almost making it the perfect item for the adc that just wants to sit back and farm. Again this may need tweaked before it could reach live, as i have no idea if the numbers are too strong for what it's worth. Or maybe it's to weak for what it's worth, and would better suit the idea i'm going for if it gave some hp like doran's blade (all be it less so doran's blade is still the clear choice for someone who want's to have lane dominance).
What are you're thoughts? Do i just need to "Git Gud Scrub", or do you think these ideas have merit? Which changes do you like or dislike from a design perspective? Why do you like or dislike these changes?
