A Trick to Reducing a number speed typing fights in Blind pick! Typeracer.com founders hate it!!

Hello!

I agree that blind pick is not the most popular mode to play in. However sometimes one just wants to play his champion without it getting banned or fear of getting counter picked. Now, that said, you queue up for blind pick, go into lobby only to witness the speed typing skills of some people so fast that the contest ended before you even were connected to the lobby.

Now, the rule "i said it first - therefore role belongs to me" isn't inherently bad as some people make it out to be. Why is that so? It's because there is no other way to decide who gets the role, when both parties are too lazy to go into arguing fight. I believe that we can somewhat negate this rule by introducing "draw the straw" or anything else that is randomly generated.

When we get into lobby and there are two people wanting to play top lane - they are on equal footing and both of their wishes to play top are just as valuable. So they start the typing contest to put themselves above the other guy - so that they would have an argument for why they are getting the role instead of the other guy. And it's okay since there is no better way. So, what would the "coin toss" do - it would make this "i said first" rule obsolete because by implementing such feature RIOT makes it official: "this is how you decide, guys".

I'm aware that this would not work 100% of the time - you can get three combinations of two types of people wanting the same role:

  1. normal - normal
  2. normal - jackass
  3. jackass - jackass

This solution would benefit mostly the "normal - normal" encounters. But i believe that there are far more reasonable people than there are others.

I also have another argument for implementing this system... New players that come to the League would experience less of negative emotions and those feelings of unfairness (because they don't have PC fast enough to load the lobby) leading up to less of them dropping out of our community. After all they are forced to play blind pick for quite some time before they get into Draft.

This feature isn't difficult to implement. It's not costly to implement as well. RIOT, i'm really looking forward to you implementing this.. as there is no excuse not to.

TL DR; Introduce coin flip or something similar of random nature to blind pick champion select to help resolve arguments for a privilege to play certain role (when multiple people want it). This would work most of the time because of psychological reasons like "this is the rule of RIOT, and "i said it first rule" is not recognized by them"... assuming RIOT emphasizes this feature enough in their official statements.

This feature has no negative downsides - only positive ones. So please help me out to make this noticed by RIOT'ers even if you don't play blind pick. :)

Thank you :)
