New LP System
Don't you hate when you get fed and play really well in ranked but end up losing because the enemy team had more people that were fed? Don't you hate when you hard carry some guy flaming and feeding and he still gets a win because he was on your team? I've been thinking about a new way to make the LP system a bit more fair to better players so they have an easier time climbing. It has to do with the Letter Grade system after a match. Let's say you did really good in a match you're cs was amazing and you outplayed the enemy multiple times but lost the match anyways. I feel like you should lose less LP since you played well.
Here is how it would work:
- If you lose a match where you got an S rank you would lose 5 less LP
- If you win a match where you got an S rank you would gain 5 more LP This would also work vice versa.
- If you lose a match where you fed got a C rank you would lose 5 more LP
- If you win a match where you got carried and got a C rank you would gain 5 less LP This would vary depending on which rank you got with B rank being the average or normal LP gain
The Honor system would be incorporated into this as well:
- Honor badge you would gain 1 LP if you won and wont lose 1 LP if you lost.
- Honor badges you would gain 2 LP if you won and wont lose 2 LP if you lost.
- Honor badges you would gain 3 LP if you won and wont lose 3 if you lost.
- Honor badges you would gain 5 LP if you won and wont lose 5 if you lost.
Even though League of Legends is a team game, 4 players other than yourself should not have that much influence over your LP gain or loss. This would also make it harder to be boosted by smurfs.
I haven't finalized this LP gain system but I just wanted to know the boards thoughts on this. Thank you for any feedback.
