To the Riot Skin Team: Please don't keep the Inquisitor to Warden name change
I feel like this name is all wrong for these skins. Whereas by definition it works, it takes away the verbal elegance of the skin names.
"Inquisitor Sivir" , man, she sounds like she's important.
"Warden Sivir" Oh, she's just some kind a prison guard.
Inquisitor: "a person making an inquiry, especially one seen to be excessively harsh or searching." Warden: "a person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or thing or for ensuring that regulations associated with it are obeyed."
Like I said, definition wise, it makes sense. But let's look at Marauder:
Marauder: "a person who marauds; a raider."
Now this may not be a chunky definition, but it definitely sparks the mind. Now, I looked up antonyms, the only relevant ones were:
Warden: "a person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or thing or for ensuring that regulations associated with it are obeyed."
Protector: "a person or thing that protects someone or something."
I looked up synonyms for both of these two as well, and two stuck out:
Savior: "a person who saves someone or something (especially a country or cause) from danger, and who is regarded with the veneration of a religious figure."
Guardian: "a defender, protector, or keeper."
Now this might be a much simpler definition, but I think it strikes the opposite of Marauder really well. Let's see what that sounds like.
"Guardian Sivir" She must be one of the good guys. She's got our back.
This is just my 2 cents, would love to hear some discussion from everyone else as well :D
- Bold, daring
- Simply powerful and hinting at something of great strength/wisdom
