I've always wanted to know why this isn't a thing. A support champion with AD scaling would be interesting, and I can't think of a reason why it hasn't been done yet. Any thoughts?

All perfectly viable, all have a decent AD scale.
this needs some attention for sure. if there was an ad sup item there would be more people trying out support with random champions and it would totally change the lane into a kill lane. making it way faster of a match or challenging to create more teamwork other then a farm lane with warding and the occasional gank. I hope to see an ad sup item in the near future :)
Because in most cases, if an AD support can make use of the item. Any other AD champion can.
If we make another support only gp/5 item, sure that can work. But what else will there be? Zeke's is so highly situational. Any buff to it could make a champion like Shyvana buy it. HP, ad, lifesteal(for her Q), 20% cdr and buffs her team. And she's the iffy one. Trundle, J4, Olaf. Hell imagine this being viable on Nasus.
BC can be used by an AD support. But it can be used by any AD.
Only way I can see it working is a new champion that gains the old Atam's bonus as a passive. Bonus HP->AD. But this bonus is reduced. With an ability in their kit that gives this bonus to their target. But this would be far too OP on an ADC. Imagine this guy starting the game with everything HP. Giving a Draven this buff at level 1. It would be toxic as hell. This could of course just be his ult. But how would the rest of their kit fit in without making him a viable AD caster in other lanes? They'd obviously be hard to balance for both. Lulu being a good example, as her AA does scale with AP.
Overall, abilities can be balanced around supporting. AA's cannot. Riot would have to get very creative to make it work.
Ashe is listed as a secondary support. she's ad. scales AD. But she's also a marksman.
Because they would need items with armor and damage, and we all know how much of a bad idea that is.
Ashe secondary tag is Support... so...
AD + AD vs Stacking armor/thorn mail AP + AD = /ff @ 20 in most cases. Consider AD if your top and mid or jungler are AP.
Pantheon is an AD support; Poke, stun, dmg, ult for global support, passive with tower dive-secure kill potential. Don't spam him or nerf threads will errupt. He's extremely oppressive.
Although most have been poached from another lane, i think thresh is probably the closest. we could use another AD support though.
because people would take said champion top or jungle then build bruiser.
