Replace Limited Edition Skins With Golden Skins

You all know about legacy skins, they are not always available in the store, but they always come back. Then there are limited edition skins, these do not come back and are currently impossible it obtain. some were only given out at events, others were rewards, and a few were purchasable. A while ago riot turned most purchasable limited skins into legacy skins. Stating: "we believe skins are primarily about self-expression and fun, not exclusivity." They are contradicting themselves here with the current skins that newer players have no chance at getting.

While yes, other games do have content that never comes back, and its fine for them. The reason it works well is because, they keep releasing limited edition content. Here is an example: Player one joins at the start, gets limited rock, shows it off to newer players. Player two joins a year later, gets jealous of player one, but see's a new limited cape and buys it to show off. Player one stops playing, eventually most people who owned the limited rock stop playing, making it a special item most don't see. Player three joins four years later, wishes he was there for all the old limited stuff, but realizes that one day he can get his own collection. Most of the items available in the beginning are lost and most new players don't know or care about them. League of legends has broken the order of things by stopping almost all limited content. Except for one skin a year that can't be obtained by most players.

I believe every skin in the game should always be obtainable. pax twisted fate is my favorite tf skin, not because its rare, but because i like tf's base skin a lot and i think the blue and white goes great with it. Sadly, the chances are very high i will never see this skin ingame. so i suggest we make all limited skins, pax, victorious, urf ww, all of them, available to be obtained again.

But wait, what if i'm that one guy who still uses Black Alistar, this will be unfair to me and will upset me. Don't worry random sir, i have an idea that will make your skin better than it ever was. turn it into a Golden skin. Now what is a Golden skin you ask, well, it would be like the normal skin, but all of its spell effects are updated to have a special golden effect. Also, it would have a golden glow about it, similar to Azir. you would still be allowed to select the old version if you don't like gold. And of course, players would get the same compensation as the other limited turned legacy skins, rp refund, (if they bought it in the store) special icon and special loading screen image.

Everyone wins with this system. New players get some awesome skins, people who already had them get extra stuff without their skins not being worth as much. Riot gets to sell some more skins, everyone ends up happy.

As to how and when they should be available, i have some suggestions.

**Rust Blitzcrank ** Simply make this skin available with all the retired skins.

Urf The Manatee Warwick 1, Give it out to players who complete a certain task during the April fools featured game mode 2, Sell it during April fools. 3, Give it to anyone who plays on April 1st. 4, sell it with the retired skins.

**Victorious Skins. ** Let me talk about these a sec, a great many players aren't ever going to be good enough to reach gold. they end up with no chance at getting these skins, so i propose the same rules as above. for future seasons you would still get the **Golden version **of the new skin if you ended at gold rank, while other players could just get the normal version. now, back to idea on how to get them. 1, Give out one for every 75 ranked wins. from oldest to newest. you don't have to actually be good at the game in order to unlock them this way, as most people can get around a 50% win rate. Making it wins is important to prevent botting, but the exact number would have to be adjusted based on what the average is. Right now 300 wins would get you all the skins, increasing by 75 each season. 2, Sell them at the end of the season when the new skin comes out.

**Pax Skins ** I heard that riot is not allowed to give these out anymore do to legal reasons, i'm not sure if this is true or not. If it is, could it be possible to modify the skins and give them a different name. Or just create very similar skins to the pax ones. If you can give them out again, here are my ideas. 1, Sell them whenever a major pax event is going on. 2, Sell them whenever the riot skins go on sale. (there could be a cool, gamers vs cops thing by selling them at the same time.)

Traditional Skins I'm nor sure if these are legacy or not, so i'm going to list them here because they haven't gone on sale again. 1, Sell them with the retired skins. 2, Sell them during April fools. 3, Sell them during memorial day.

King Rammus 1, Reward for winning 500 games. 2, Give it to all players who have used the pbe. 3, Sell it with the Retired skins. 4, Sell it during League of legend's birthday in October.

**Judgement Kayle ** 1, Reward for hitting 750 wins. 2, Reward for using the new and improved tribunal system. 3, Sell it during the beginning of each season.

UFO Corki 1, Reward for hitting 1000 wins. 2, Sell it with the retired skins 3, Sell it during the Harrowing.

**Championship Riven ** 1, Sell it during the world championships with the other championship skins.

**Riot Squad Singed ** 1, Sell it with the other riot skins.

Collectors Edition Skins 1, Sell them during league of legend's birthday in October. 2, Sell them with the retired skins. 3, Put them in bundles, like Goth Annie.

Other Since these skins can still be obtained today, i believe they are fine and don't need any changes: Triumphant Ryze. Grey Warwick. Medieval Twitch. Riot Girl Tristana. Unchained Alistar.

tl;dr Either give out or sell every limited edition skin, give the previous owners of the skin a special version with golden effects.
