Is the new Darkstar gamemode a fanmade project comming to life?!
The hype is real no doubt, but I couldn't help but wonder if Riot got influencd by my idea by any chance?
Almost a year ago I made my 1st post in the boards called Gamemode: The Void where i said that the void territory isn't really much expanded on and that league could get some new fresh content after being abit stale.
The idea behind the gamemode was that it had a rounds system similar to 1st person zombie shooters, completely new items and shop and leevling up system (ironically got called out as stupid and that i'd go play other games if that's what i'm looking for, yet here we are with a rounds style gamemode by Riot itself)
I even suggested that the players would be set in a circular shaped arena and would fight void creatures.

Now from the newly teased voice pack for the new announcer to the new gamemode we can confirm that
- it's a rounds based gameplay
- void scuttlecrabs
- the circular arena.
Indeed the goal behind the gamemode is different since this one seems to focus on gathering souls rather than executing creatures to progress, and this one have only 2 rounds where my idea was planned for over 10 rounds but that might be due to that i planned for it to be a perminant gamemode rather than a short rotating one.
I know what you think. yeah look at this guy trying to make sth out of himself and honestly no, i'm as hyped as everyone but it just sounded too similar to me to just ignore, so i thought that i'd share this thought with everyone else.

The cherry on top for me would be to get a Rioter to respond, if i got confirmed by an official Rioter that i had in anyway at least some influence even on the smalest scale or even better triggered the idea i couldn't be any happier ^^
