While under the shroud of darkness, all enemy champions have their sight range slightly reduced and take 25/30/35 (+5% AP) (1% max HP) magic damage every second. Allies gain 5/12.5/20% bonus movement speed, doubled for you. At the end of the charge, the shroud of darkness stays in place for 4/6/8 seconds.
Concept: Ballade is meant to be a sticky, utility based "sustained damage assassin". He can dive onto you like an assassin and will deal damage, but his main trait is his inability to actually one-shot burst people. Rather than just wreck someone's face instantly like Zed or Talon, he's there to dive onto you, and force you to accept the inevitability of death. He can stack up his passive onto someone, and though he won't deal any absurd amount of damage at first, his attacks will soon build up his passive. Gaining a huge burst of magic damage on every auto attack and ability cast will soon make any enemy fall. However, enemies can easily take off stacks just as easily as you apply them. Squishies can take off stacks because the damage to take off stacks is based on an enemy's maximum health, not yours, so you can't build full tank and still wreck their faces by just never losing your stacks on someone. Your ultimate is extremely versatile, making it possible to have your presence felt in fights even when you're unable to kill someone. The damage and crowd control that it applies with the 4 horsemen is very powerful, and the constant damage taken from the shroud is no slouch, either. The slight sight range reduction and the movement speed to allies might give just enough of a boost to your allies to allow them to turn around a fight, while your own movement speed boost may allow you to go in and kill an enemy.
Lore: Growing up, Ballade and his siblings would constantly hear stories of the Shadow Isles and would be warned never to approach them. His siblings, appalled by what they had heard, were too scared to even speak the name of the island. He, on the other hand, was fascinated by the stories, but could never get a chance to find out more. However, one day, his curiosity was piqued when he say a strange man with a lantern travelling through the forest. As soon as he approached the man, he felt something leave his body. He awoke later in a clearing, surrounded by dark, bent trees and with a faint green light emanating from the night sky. He felt himself arise, although he never willed himself to do so. He ran, completely against his own will. He ran through the forest and back to his home, where he found his family, looking at him with fear. He tried to cry out to them, but was unable to act of his own accord. A black, gnarled scythe with green light pouring out from it materialized in his hands. He raised the scythe, and just as he was about to swing downward, he felt himself regain control of his own body. Inside his head rang out the words, "If you wish to know the truth, you know what you must do." He closed his eyes and swung downward, feeling the blood splatter onto his face. A burning sensation flooded his senses as he found flakes of his skin falling off. Upon looking at his reflection, he found that green cracks were forming on his body. He ran, returning to the clearing in which he woke. He found that four beads had formed on his scythe, one for every member of his family. Within the clearing, he found a green lantern. He suddenly felt compelled to it, and grabbed it.
