Venyris, the Ghost of Piltover
Health: 377 (+90) Health Regen: 0.7 (+0.8) Armor: 27 (+3.5) Magic Resist: 32.1 (+1.25) Attack: 50.5 (+3.5) Attack Speed: 0.625 (+4%) Range: 650 Movement Speed: 355 Primary Role: Marksman Secondary Role: Assassin
Skill: 100 Skill is unique to Venyris. It works similarily to Fury and other like resources. Each basic attack and ability landed gains 5 skill adding up to a total of 100. Every 20 Skill Venyris gains 5% chance to dodge an attack or ability taking no damage for a total chance of 20%.
Background: Venyris was but a child orphaned on the streets of Piltover. Growing up he was shown to be quick on his feet, agile beyond measure, smart, and could blend into the crowds and other places easily. He became quite the excellent thief, pickpocket, and information broker. From there he moved up. Finding that he possessed other, more deadly skills. Buying his first rifle at the age of 13 after a job he was hired to do and finding he was good at it. Though there always were rules. His name became known through Piltover and beyond. The Ghost of Piltover. Never seen. Never caught. Deadly accurate. He became truly feared. The mere utterance that someone was his target was enough to make the toughest of thugs and warriors tremble.
One night, half-way through his 13th year of life everything changed. A contract gone wrong. A corrupted hextech businessman was to be going over the rounds of a nearby factory of his. There he would meet his end. Finding his target he positioned himself within the factory and marked him. Unbeknownst to him there was a leak of hextech energy nearby in one of the tanks. As the trigger was pulled and his target dropped the energy caught the spark of his rifle bullet and exploded. Causing the entire factory and three blocks around there to be decimated.
Knocked back into the rubble Venyris fell unconscious. Recovered later by a mysterious organization. For years the Ghost of Piltover was no more, or so everyone thought. The organization experimented, augmented, and shaped Venyris to be their ultimate weapon. Training him in better use of his sniper and trained him in the art of swordsmanship. He spent years in this facility. Here he saw a purpose. While still an assassin he was now a member of a secret Piltover Military force. He was always out for himself, but with this organization he could finaly have a sense of purpose he longed for. At his own behest of course. The head of the organization was shown this after she tried to subjugate Venyris to her and the organizations will. Knocking out all guards and then beating and having at gunpoint her head he explained to her "Train me. Use me. I am a weapon. However, try to control me and that weapon will turn on its masters. Understood?" And so they agreed. After a few years training he would be used on asignments at his own behest and rules. No Women lest they're corrupt and evil. No children. Only the corrupt and vile.
After the world rested with the knowledge of the Ghost of Piltover dead they were shaken with his return after only 3 years. Multiple bodies showing up with his signature. No sign. No mark save for the one bullet to the head. Another 4 years and he was finally shown to all the world as a champion in the league. A force under ths Piltover Military Organization "G.H.O.S.T." Geological host of Secret Technology. They're still working on the name. A training excercise for him as well as a show of their power and technology.
The picture used, and all other pictures I use are there as a reference and the credit for the picture(s) go to the rightful artist who created the picture(s).
Appearance: Five foot seven inches. Average build. Slim and elf like, but strong and fast. His hair white from the explosion and eyes glowing light bluish green (Think like Mako eyes from FF7 but brighter). His hair medium length pulled back into a ponytail with sidebangs hanging down. He wears what you see in this picture.
Age: 20 Weight: 135lbs mostly muscle. Height: 5' 7"
Movement: He moves fluidly with his gun pointed to the side towards ground as he runs along.
Weapon: He uses the sniper rifle in the picture which is high powered and fast. Part of the weapons features however is the ability to switch to a katana at a moments notice by the barell folding in on itself to form the blade. The scope retracts to meld into the back side of the katana as a backer to brace the blade. The cartridge/clip retracts and rotates to form the guard as the handle/grip rotates and retracts to form the hilt. Altogether the sniper rifle contracts into a smaller more condensed form to create the blade and then expands and recalibrates to form the rifle again. A gift from the organization.
Personality: Cold and calculating, but he has a big heart. Although he is a killer, and a good one at that, he cares for the lives of the innocent and abhors corruption and evil. He annihilates without remorse those who fall under those catagories. His voice is like that of Varus, but without the demonic reverberation (Think Zer0 from Borderlands 2 without the Haikus' and oriental hint to it).
Passive: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/11/icons_10852_btn.jpg Ghost of Piltover - As a young boy Venyris was always good at stealth. His new suit now amplifies those abilities as well as his augments. While out of combat for 2s Venyris enters stealth that can only be revealed by true sight.
While stealthed Venyris gains 20% movement speed. While stealthed his "Skill" bonus is increased by 10% for a max of 30% dodge rate at 100 skill. Basic attacks reveal him and dismiss stealth and the first basic attack adds "Weakens" the target for the next 6 seconds. Weakened targets take 25% more damage from all sources. After weakened status wears off the target is immune to "Weakened" status for the next 6s. While stealthed auto target is disabled to stop premature de-stealthing.
Abilities used while stealthed do not dismiss stealth, but rather reveal him for 0.25 seconds in a misty smoke/haze before returning to stealth. While stealthed his abilities gain slight benefits.
This passive is being worked on and may change. If you have thoughts on it let me know! Thanks!
Note: He still takes damage from ults he dodges, but at 50% their power. Should Venyris be stunned or displaced he is automatically revealed.
Q http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/13/icons_12135_btn.jpg Shadows: Visible: Venyris creates 2 clones of himself that last for 10s. These clones look exactly like him and have the exact same stats save for their attack damage. They will attack a random enemy, prioritizing champions within range, for 1/3rd of Venyris AD. Should Venyris (Player controlled) fall within the 10s they are transfered to the next Clone to avoid death. This, however, can only be done once per cast. Venyris takes on the Health of the clone he is transferred too.
Stealthed: While stealthed Shadows gains a quicker cooldown and a different effect. When cast Venyris dashes 400 units in any direction, including through terrain and leaves behind a clone which attacks the first enemy, prioritizing champions, within range that lasts for 10s before disappearing in smoke. Only 3 clones can be up at a time. The clones have 1/3rd AD of Venyris. If cast again the first clone disappears and another replaces it. So on and so forth.
Cooldowns: Visible: 30/27/25/23/20s Stealthed: 3/2.5/2/1.5/1s
W http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/6/icons_5774_btn.jpg / http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/6/icons_5775_btn.jpg Charged Shot/Piercing Shot: Visible: Venyris charges a round for 0.2s before unleashing a shot in a 800 unit range (A little bit bigger hit box than Varus's Q) dealing 70/110/150/190/230 (+70% AP) to all enemies in its way.
*Stealthed: Venyris takes aim at a target champion within 1300 units then shoots a piercing round dealing 100/130/170/230/250 (+50% AD) to target champion. Each enemy it hits on the way to target champion decreases its power by 10 up to a max decrease of 50 for a total lowest damage of 50/80/120/180/200 (+50% AD). During this shot Venyris is rooted for 0.5s as he lines up his shot. Once his shot is off he is revealed for 1s in a smokey haze before going back to stealth. If attacked during this time he is revealed until able to enter stealth again.
Cooldown: 17/15/13/10/7s
E http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/14/icons_13162_btn.jpg Emerging Blade: Visible: Venyris transforms his sniper rifle into Katana form and dashes forward 700 units to target champion and deals 30/50/70/90/110 (+30% AD) in damage. Upon hitting the target Venyris jumps off and transforms his weapon back to the sniper rifle and shoots midair dealing 50/70/90/130/150 (+30% AP) damage. Upon landing Venyris enters stealth.
Stealthed: Activating Emerging Blade will have Venyris dash at target champion briefly becoming visible during the dash and upon impact then becomes stealthed and dashes in any other direction chosen during activation dealing 30/70/110/150/170 (+30% AD)(+30% AP) damage to target. Other champions in the way of his second dash (the one away from target champion) take half damage.
There is 2s after landing from the visible attack and enter stealth that Venyris can cast Emerging Blade again to automatically dash to the champion previously hit by Emerging Blade. This attack dashes Venyris to the target and then back to where he landed causing him to become visible and put Emerging Blade on double cooldown.
Cooldown: Visible: 20/17/15/13/10s *Stealthed: 13/10/7/5/3s
Note: While stealthed and activating Emerging Blade, champions within 700 units have a skill shot connected to them. When selecting one of those champions a second skill shot arrow appears that the player/summoner can control to show in which direction Venyris will dash after connecting with the enemy.
R http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/resource_images/14/icons_13591_btn.jpg Assassinate: Venyris enters stealth and ignores all current incoming damage. Immune to CC effects for 15s. Activating this again Venyris targets an enemy champion within a 2000 unit range. After 0.5s lining up his shot he lets loose a deadly bullet dealing 150/200/250 (+100% AD) afterwhich Venyris teleports behind the target and stabs them with his rifle transformed into a katana for 150/200/250 (+100% AP).
Cooldown: 120 Cost: 100 Skill.
Note: This is mainly used for escaping conflicts. Not the damage itself. Though that is a part of it. Any attacks or other abilities cast while the ult is active will cancel out the ults effect and put it on half cooldown. Using the ult itself cancels the passive immunity as he damages the enemy. This is to give him time to set up his assassination. Current incoming damage might be an ability or a regular attack. All attacks after stealthing still can damage him.

and a multitude of other good oriented characters. Friends Explained: While Caitlyn is not prone to assassination, she sees the work he does as good for all the land, and while she would prefer most he kills goes to trial she sees that some people just can't have a trial. So while she abhors his methods, she can't argue with the good he has done. Some say, she may have a slight spark for him.
Varus, while Venyris sees his corruption he knows it is not one of malice, but of revenge. One he can understand all too well as Venyris still searches for whoever killed his parents.
Vi, allied with Caitlyn she is more prone to understand his methods than Caitlyn. She works alongside Piltover and therefore, with him.
Everyone else sees him as an entity of good while some disapprove of his methods, others understand and appreciate it. Some admire his skill and others believe him to be somewhat troubled and feel pity for him, but he has expressed he wants none and only for his skill to show them is will which it has more than once.
Enemies: Most any evil champion.
While "evil" is up for interpretation Venyris rarely allies himself with those who seek pain, death, torture, defilement, and corruption upon others. While on a team with "evil" characters he will often make remarks towards them or give them the cold shoulder.
Quotes
Taunts: "Awe, can't find me? Too bad. You're dead." "Can't touch this." "Who taught you how to fight? Pathetic."
Jokes: "Ghost in your lane? Who you gonna call? No one. Cause they're dead."
To allies of good alignment while near them: "Hail Karma. However, if you wish me see enlightenment, then I believe it is too late for me," Karma back to him, "It is never to late to see the path to enlightenment Venyris."
"Varus, may your arrows shoot true my friend." Varus back, "They always are." Smirks and laughs as well as Venyris laughing
"Caitlyn, cover me. I shall be your guardian." Caitlyn balks (aka slight blush) at this and says with a bit of a stammer, "Sh-shut up."
"Master Yi....It is an honor to fight by your side."
Common to most everyone else, "Be calmed, for I am by your side even if you cannot see me. A ghost. A shadow. A guardian."
While moving: "Roger." "Copy that, moving out." "Like a ghost, I move silently and quickly." "On my way."
While attacking: "Yeah....you're dead." when landing the killing blow on anyone or anything. "In my sights." "They shall not escape." "Death to them." "My sight be true."
While entering stealth: "I do feel sorry for them...." "Now....I blend." "Into the shadows." "Like a ghost, I am gone."
There you have Venyris. Please let me know what you think. I know this is still a concept to be worked on and many changes (or maybe just a few to none) are to be made. Any feedback would be appreciated. Vote on the poll and vote this up if you like him. If you think he needs tweaks or don't want to play him please just leave a comment explaining why so that I may better understand and improve my champion. Thank you ^_^
CONTEST BONUS: Two truths, one lie in the form of a story! You decide what is what!
A day like any other. Hiding out in the mountains. Waiting for my prey. Luck was on my side. Multiple targets from my list came into few, but each were at different positions. With a deep breath and careful aim it only took one bullet for them all.
After the mission I had thought it over. When picked up I was brought to an industrial city where I was put up in a hotel room. The city, Piltover. His target? None other than Caitlyn the illustrious Sheriff of the town. Why would she be a target? He didn't know. Only knew she too carried a sniper rifle. The moment she stepped out of her office his heart froze. Refusing to kill such a woman. You could say, love at first scope.
Afterwards he was cleared of his training and given full permission to go about missions as he sees fit, and the first thing he does is head over to the city of Zaun. Here he sought out one of the largest technical fraud companies in Runeterra. At the start he had misfortunes. His sniper malfunctioned from an electrical backfire from a pulse shield. With no weapon besides his hands he infiltrated the facility with a few hundred guards and single handedly (Literally as his left arm was out from the malfunction as well) all the guards and killed his targets.
These are but a few adventures of Venyris, the Ghost of Piltover. You decide which are true, and which are fake. Let me know. At the end of the contest I may just say who the winner is. Best of luck.

's power level in game was the same as it is lore-wise, do you really think his win rate would not be in the 90% range? You need to understand that a balanced champion kit cannot possibly reflect all the fantasies of a certain character without either doing a lot of things but sucking at every single one of them or simply being overpowered. You have to boil it down to what is the most important aspect of the champion and create the kit from there. Forget all the excess fluff. Yeah, it's cool, but it does not belong in a game like LoL. You're kit feels like a max level character in a_** single player**_ RPG. That's not a good thing.

it's pretty necessary on anyone who uses primarily physical damage.
