While the September CCC continues, I'd like to keep my skills up and working.

I want to keep practicing my design chops, so give me a kit idea and I'll see if it pushes me in a new, interesting direction.

I'll make a full champion design out of the most upvoted suggestion at this time tomorrow; the design may or may not take a bit of time to put a kit together for depending on the complexity of the design and how much work I get IRL.

In general, here are the things that I work well with:

  • Cool/interesting niches; for example, "mi ramfan, try making a support based around debuffing opponents". This is pretty easy for me to work with because it gives me a clear direction while leaving me latitude to play around with the concept a little bit.
  • Game design challenges; for example, "mi ramfan, make a ranged top laner who isn't oppressive to lane against for melees". This is a tough nut to crack, but I'm sure I could rise to the challenge.
  • Appearance and/or visual hook; for example, "I've noticed that there's no champions who use nunchaku in League at the moment. Pls fix."Obviously this one depends on whether there's something new that weapon could bring to the game, but I can work with stuff like that as long as I can find out what it is with a wikipedia search. Last time I made one of these threads back on the regular forums, I got a request for a dinosaur who used rocket launchers. That was probably the most fun I've had doing a kit in a long time.
  • Sufficiently detailed lore hooks. I don't really have an example for this one as it's entirely based on my judgement at the time, but if you give me a cool lore hook that gets my blood pumping I can work with it.
  • Rework ideas; for example, "People have always been saying Urgot is unhealthy. What would you do with him?" Please bear in mind that what I decide to do may not play at all like the champion's original kit and may focus on theming and/or game health revisions instead.

Here are things I don't work well with:

  • Overly specific designs. At some point, you may as well make the concept yourself instead of putting it here. If you don't leave any latitude for me to play around with the idea, then I'm not gonna work with it.
  • Vague stuff. "mi ramfan, make me a jungler". This is not great for me since it gives me almost nothing to work with other than "this guy is melee" and "this guy is bulky".
  • Inherent contradictions. "Can you show me what a tank with 700 attack range would look like?" Since tanks want to get in the middle of the fight, they're either A. never going to use the 700 range or B. not really going to be a tank. Please use discretion here.

So with that in mind, please post whatever ideas you have! I'll take the highest upvoted idea that I think I can work with at this time tomorrow and start making a kit out of it. Thanks for posting beforehand!

Wooooh! I'm thinking to do my next champion either a sword mage (a swordsman with magical abilities rather than physical) or a siege support (a champion that is SUPER good at pushing and turrets but isn't a regular supp). It'd be fun to see if you come up with cooler ideas than me! ;) I loved Siberia btw. I believe she'll get an honorable mention in the least on the CCC. She's that good!
