Let's talk about Mecha Rengar for a moment

So if you're unaware Riot currently has a new skin in store for Rengar on PBE. The skin is called Mecha Rengar and I suppose it's meant to be a counter to Mecha Khazix.

For starts I am a Rengar main player, I've played him since his release in 2012 and I've stuck with him through all the changes and reworks he has gone through. I still love to play Rengar (despite his swimming technique Q) and I'll probably continue to do so. I felt like I wanted to say my opinion about the upcoming skin. Before I actually do so, if you've been to r/rengarmains you'll notice that they're crying like hell and already started making memes about it, even though they've been requesting a skin for years.

I'll bring you a TL;DR section before you actually get into the main text.

Am I dissapointed about the skin? Yeah a little bit, on the other hand I am happy that we actually have received a skin in the first place, it brings me great joy to know we're getting attention from Riot.

It's important to note that I am not actually disagreeing with Riot's choice of skin theme, I just think there were plenty of other and better skinlines to choose from. First of all his fist weapon https://i.gyazo.com/c40d7d1c1ce4aa4a38e54aad94c07079.png

This thing doesn't look like it can actually hit anything. It's placed way too far back, it doesn't look terrifying at all. This is what a fist weapon should look like.

Long, sharp and looks like an actual weapon. At least headhunter does it right with the same concept.

Second I'd like to point out the SFX for Rengar's ultimate lacks the mecha theme. If you play the video from the link before, you can hear that during Thrill of the Hunt there's no mecha sound to it. Now, I don't know how it sounds on Rengar's end, but it certainly isn't there for the victims.

Those are the two minor details that bother me the most, but now I want to talk about why exactly Mecha Rengar is kinda offsetting for me. Personally I don't feel like Mecha supports Rengar's theme and fantasy. I'm slightly dissapointed because there are so many good idea out there that could have made a skin for Rengar.

There were better options if you ask me, but I am not unhappy with the skin we've gotten. Infact I am happy about it, even if there are a few things that's slightly meh about it. I'm not one to complain though, we've been requesting this for so long and now Riot has delivered.

Here's a fun fact; compared to his normal skins, Mecha Rengar's weapons have switched hands. The blade in the picture you have should be in his other hand.

That could be an accident and have something to do with it.

That skin needs to be canceled, there is so much wrong with that skin, there i is no way they can fix almost the entire skin until its release. Just cancel it and start from scratch. His B animation is awful to look at. The idea of rengar transforming into a car is totally stupid. His model doesnt look like rengar. The skin models have to be similar to his base model or need to have something in order to recognise him. Mecha rengar lacks all of these things. He doesnt look like rengar and all his weapons are different. His knife is gone, instead he got Zeds blade. His blade on the left arm is gone, now it looks like a axe of some sort. He has a large head due to his dreadlocks on his other skins. This skin has a tiny head without dreadlocks. There is no way this skin can represent rengar. It doesnt look like him at all. His shoulder pads are humongous, like wtf. This skin cant possibly be released, it is a joke. And I havent even mentioned everything wrong with the skin, just a few points.
