It's like we were bitching for a reason.
It is almost like True Sight was supposed to protect you from assassins insta-killing you without the ability to fight back... Almost...
I think its a sign of progress which isn't something we get much from Riot these days. There's plenty of stupid, busted mechanics in the game they've refused to touch on characters that they just attempted to balance around so the fact they actually backpedaled on True Stealth at least shows they heard the feedback.
Like Kalista is probably the easiest example. How do we balance a champion who can jump all the time and gives a knockup/dash to any initiator you want? Make all of her numbers suck. They refuse to rework her and she gets tweaked with her stats once every few months, basically a forgotten champion. And thats just an easy example, I'm sure anyone on this board can think of similar situations with various champions.
I'm like 90% sure everyone at riot was like "guys we really need to make this change" and CT was like "nah"
Rito had to make sales while claiming forum opinions are irrelevant before fixing it.
Honestly it's outright shameful that it's taken them this long to admit that they f*cked up. This isn't even close to enough to making her shroud feel like a fair and balanced ability. It's like Riot forgot it's a gaming company and that it's main aim should be to make sure everyone is actually having fun when playing their game and it feels like they are simply ignoring that fact when designing their recent champions rework, in favour of making them look flashy and 'pushing the boundaries of what a champion should be.'
It's understandable that people will complain about every champion/playstyle/mechanic in the game because that's simply how things work. There will always be things that are better than other things.
Akali's shroud is something else entirely. I've never seen the entirety of the community come together to hate on something so unanimously and it's almost insulting that Riot have allowed this ability to remain like it is for so long.
Apparently it takes months for any sound to reach God.
Still curious why CertainlyT is still working for Riot as a designer tbh.
Good riddance.
The very concept of a champion sitting under an enemy turret, immune, with the ability to do damage and weave in and out as turrets retarget... Is patently absurd.
I'm sure the 56% win rate bandwagoners are seething.
So her winrate will go from 42% to 30%
then she'll need compensation buffs elsewhere, which no one wants either. truth is though, she's trash atm. and i fail to see what people will agree on concerning her aspects that should be buffed..
"It shouldn't take so long to gut one of the defining parts of a champion kit."
