How about a non-humanoid, non-organic champion for a change?

In a world where the possibilities are limitless, having so many humanoid and animal based champs feels like a missed opportunity. Since spirits and curses are established to exist in the lore of league how about normal inanimate objects being cursed to form a champ? (no robot skins don't count)

I saw a champion concept a while back (tried to find the post but couldn't) where an old scroll was cursed& possessed and it looked so awesome. Even if Riot doesn't want to branch out from existing lore or stay within a theme how about a Darkin weapon getting stuck on an object instead of a organic being, or heck turn the weapon itself into the champ due to its exposure to magic or sth.

If anyone has a link to the post i mentioned please comment it, other than that thnx for your time ^^

Edit: One concept i had when i 1st started playing league is for a champion to simply be a floating square with different weapons where no pilot was involved and he player himself was as if he was controlling a drone. I found it fitting with the theme and old lore where summoners existed but with the ore change it feels unfitting atm, which is why i'm trying to suggest workarounds for a concept like this to make scene in the current lore

Alas, the usual business issues arise. There's a reason all the merch and cosplay advertisement revolves around the same kinds of champion. Case and point with Xayah/Rakan getting multiple official pieces of merch despite still being quite young.

A champion who I'd like to see who can fit that bill would be someone like Abathur in Heroes of the Storm. The only way I could think to fit it in the game without ripping off Abathur would be to have it be a grave angel statue that can send it's spirit to possess other units. I think Abathur is neat in that there's a lot of potential with his design, as he plays like a traditional lich with a phylactery (you can't kill him unless you kill his vessel), so I would love to see something like that in League.
