[Concept] Shen rework - Protective Ninja
Note: This Shen has 200 energy.
Shen has never really fit his motif as a ninja for balance. Being a tank doesn't really work with a stealthy, agile character.
That said, what if we took a champion with the capabilities of a normal assassin, and instead took that design style towards a defensive champion?
That's how this version of Shen works, dancing through the shadows to disrupt enemies and protect allies.
Also... fuck the Spirit Blade. Vorpal Blade is back, baby.
Passive: Balanced Stance
Shen periodically re-sets his stance, empowering himself with Ki Strike and Ki Guard
Ki Strike: Your next basic attack deals 40-150 (+20% AP) bonus magic damage and stuns the target for 0.25 seconds, restoring 30 energy. Ki Guard: The next instance of post-mitigation champion damage greater than 50 to hit you will be answered with a shield for 60-225 (+30% AP) for 1.5 seconds, restoring 30 energy if it lasts its full duration.
These effects last indefinitely, but 5 seconds after one of them is used, the other will fade away. Both abilities share a CD of 15 seconds, which begins after the second effect is used.
Dealing direct damage to an enemy champion or preventing direct damage to an allied champion (including yourself) reduces the remaining CD of Balanced Stance by 1.5 seconds.
Q: Vorpal Blade 60 Energy, 8 second CD
Shen throws his blade at a target enemy, dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+ 60% AP) magic damage and lodging his blade in them for 3 seconds if they are a champion or large monster.
So long as his blade is lodged in them, Shen gains 30% movement speed while within 550 units of them and is unable to basic attack units other than his initial target.
Shen's next basic attack against this target pulls the blade out, causing him to heal himself for (4% max HP) (+15% AP). The target takes 20% bonus damage from this attack, and is subsequently slowed by 35% for 1 second.
W: Spirit's Refuge 20 Energy, 18/16.5/15/13.5/12 second CD
Shen creates a protective zone around himself for 1.5 seconds, rendering all allies within it immune to basic attacks. If a champion basic attack is blocked or if another allied champion walks into the zone, its duration is extended by 1.5 seconds.
E: Shadow Dash 70 Energy, 18/16/14/12/10 second CD
Shen dashes in a target direction, taunting all enemies hit for 1.5 seconds and dealing 50/70/90/110/130 (+10% bonus HP) (+25% AP) (+25% bonus AD) physical damage.
During the travel time, Shen may reactivate to become invisible at the end of his dash, lasting 1.5 seconds. If his dash hit any champions, they will instead be taunted onto a clone that takes 50% bonus damage, deals 0 damage, and expires once Shen reappears. The clone can be controlled by holding alt.
R: Stand United No Cost, 200/180/160 second CD
Shen channels for 3 seconds, shielding a target ally at any distance for 175/350/525 (+135% AP), increased up to 280/560/840 (+216% AP) based on their missing health.
At the end of his channel, Shen teleports to his ally if they are still alive, priming his Balanced Stance.
