just save up the ip for him. I promise you many a toxic teammates and strenuous wtf moments while your learning when to roam and use your easily troll Magical Journey and Tempered Fate.
In all honesty though when hes learned your team gets some amazing game-changing utility out of him. Team fight not going your way? ult half their team and kill those who aren't affected. He gives ya some serious tide turning moments.
Also you can take your heal first and leave your jungler some heals at his first few camps to help him along. I once made a jungle yasuo snowball to the extreme by giving him that extra, much needed health for his first jg clear.
