Need some solo queue advice

So recently I've decided to get back into ranked after being discouraged for a while after a long series of losses, back then I was losing because I wasn't a good player, but now I'm facing a different problem: I just can't get my main role (Jungle)

It feels like every game I queue up for, there is someone who picks before me who goes jungle, and I end up in a role I'm not very good at and end up not doing well. I need some advice on what to do. Should I just go learn a different role? If not, then what do I do so I can make sure I'm able to get my best role most of the time?

you should know 3 roles really well, and be able to play the other 2 if you want to play solo q.

That's not what I've been told, a lot of diamond ELO players I've talked to say you should main one role because if you play one thing, you'll get really good at it.
