Champion Type

Skirmisher/Marksman

Champion Concept

An artificial life form from another world who cares not for the ways of Runeterra, Ayohn is a skirmisher who breaks the rules of the way both skirmishers and critical strikes work, and uses her status as a living weapon to recreate herself and her equipment as needed to handle a variety of situations.

And if there's a task she can't handle, she simply ups her versatility by creating a duplicate of herself.

Managing her mode of attack is a must, as her cooldowns are on the long side and she doesn't have many means to switch her weapons as she begins to use her skills. Misuse will leave her stuck in the wrong mode in the wrong location.

Short Lore

"This ball of dirt... bores me."

A scout dispatched from a distant world to observe Runeterra, Ayohn, an artificial life form once designated A-1, spent centuries quietly watching the endless struggles on the surface from orbit. During her quiet vigil, the inhabitants of her own world suffered a planetary catastrophe, leaving her forgotten and without purpose. Word of this never reached her.

Unable to return home until she was called back, Ayohn passed decades trying to decide upon one reason after another for her continued forsakeness, until finally she concluded that her duty would end when nothing remained on the surface to be observed. To that end, she fashioned herself a hard light generated shell based on the image of the most populous race on the planet to act as an instrument through which to carry out her gruesome task. And from that day forward, she spent every day slaughtering whatever she concluded was an appropriate threat to her creators, returning to orbit at sunset to repair and recharge herself for the next day of killing once the sun rose again.

Gender: Feminine programming Birthplace: A distant planet Residence: Multiple satellites in low orbit over Runeterra Occupation: Scout Faction: Independent

Friends: Herself Enemies: All champions. All monsters. All minions

Appearance

A small and slight-looking young woman wearing a simple black one-piece dress, black leggings, and black heels. Though she seems largely human, a number of her features give away what she really is. For one, her waist-length white hair looks closer to a single mass than individual follicles, and for another, she has power symbols for pupils. She walks calmly at all times as if strolling, her weapon held loosely at her side while not in combat. She uses her R-Cannon stiffly, raising it when attacking and firing without aiming. While using her sword, she swings it gracefully, but will mix up normal swings with reverse-swipes by bending her elbow the opposite way.

Both her L-Blade and R-Cannon form directly from her arm. As their names imply, the blade swords on her left arm at the elbow, replacing her forearm and hand, and her cannon forms around her right arm.

During her recall, she opens a number of holographic interfaces in the air around her, opening and closing them one by one, and then vanishing to pixels and reassembling back at the base. Her spawn animations likewise involve her body fast-assembling itself.

During her death animation, she flinches away from the blow that hit her and then begins convulsing, energy arcing across her body as she screams. After a few seconds, she explodes, scattering pinpoints of energy and revealing her glowing yellow true form. She hovers in the air for a moment before shooting up into the sky.

Abilities

Innate: Arms Conversion Unit

Ayohn's basic attacks and damaging abilities deal 75% damage when critically striking.

After casting a basic ability, Ayohn changes her equipped weapon, modifying her basic attack properties. Ayohn will continue to wield that weapon until an appropriate ability is cast that causes her to switch.

Ayohn must learn either Strike Them Down or Remove Obstacles at level 1, and will immediately equip the appropriate weapon.

Total critical strike damage modification: (75 + 75 × (1 + bonus critical strike damage))%

Q: Strike Them Down

Cost: 30/35/40/45/50 mana Initial Cast Range: 475 Recast Range: 150 Dash Range: 475 Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 seconds

Active: Ayohn arms her L-Blade and strikes in the target direction, dealing physical damage and marking damaged enemies for 3 seconds. Ayohn gains bonus movement speed while moving in the direction of marked enemies.

Ayohn can recast the ability at no additional cost to dash a fixed distance through a target marked enemy, turn, and strike again, dealing the same damage again to all enemies along her dash path. Recasting the ability consumes the mark on all enemies damaged by the first cast other than the target enemy.

Both instances of damage can critically strike separately from one another against all targets.

Strike Them Down applies on-hit effects to the first enemy damaged by the initial cast, and the target enemy on re-cast.

Arms Conversion Unit - L-Blade: Ayohn's gains 20% bonus attack speed.

Ayohn's basic attack critical strikes reset her basic attack timer but modify her critical strike chance for her next attack to 75% of the previous attack's, resetting when Ayohn fails to critically strike or uses an ability.

First strike physical damage: 10/17.5/25/32.5/40 + 45% AD Second strike physical damage: 10/22.5/35/47.5/60 + 65% AD Bonus movespeed: 15/20/25/30/35%

W: Disperse Form

Cost: 60 mana Cast Range: 550 Cooldown: 21/18/15/12/9 seconds after initial cost

Active: Ayohn tempoarily disrupts her form, blocking the next enemy ability that hits her within 1.5 seconds. If Ayohn blocks an ability, Disperse Form can be recast without cost for 3 seconds to blink her to the target location.

If Strike Them Down and Remove Obstacles have both been learned and Disperse Form is recast, Ayohn will swap her equipped weapon.

E: Remove Obstacles

Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana Cast Range: 1000 Dash Range: 400 Cooldown: 12 seconds

Active: Ayohn arms her R-Cannon and fires a blast after a .66 seconds delay, damaging all enemies in a line. This damage can critically strike.

The ability can be recast at no additional cost during the delay, causing Ayohn to dash in the opposite direction that she fires in after the delay ends.

Arms Conversion Unit - R-Cannon: Ayohn's gains 300 bonus attack range, gaining ranged attacks.

Ayohn's basic attack critical strikes on-hit deal 50% AD physical damage to the next target after and within 125 units of her original target. This damage does not apply on-hit effects but can critically strike at 90% of the previous attack's critical strike chance, causing the same effect to be applied to the next appropriate enemy.

Physical damage: 60/100/140/180/220 + 80% Bonus AD

R: Create Another

Cost: 100 mana Cast range: 650 Cooldown: 140/110/80 seconds

Passive: Ayohn gains bonus critical strike damage.

Active: Ayohn creates a duplicate of herself, Ayohn-B, at the target location which remains on the field as a controllable minion for 20 seconds.

Create Another can be recast to issue a move or attack order to Ayohn-B.

Bonus critical strike damage: (10/20/30)%

Ayohn-B

Health: 100% current health Attack Damage: 100% AD Attack Speed: 100% AS, not applying the bonus from L-Blade unless Ayohn-B has it equipped Critical Strike Chance: 0% Melee: 150 Armor: 100% Armor Magic Resist: 100% Magic Resist Movement speed: 100% movement speed

Incoming damage modifier: 50% increased damage from all sources 100% increased damage from enemy turrets

Gold bounty: 50 EXP: 0

Ayohn-B is created armed with L-Blade or R-Cannon, depending on which weapon Ayohn herself is not currently armed with, and gains the same bonuses Ayohn does for equipping them.

Ayohn-B will mimic Ayohn's casts of Strike Them Down and Remove Obstacles by aiming in the direction of the cursor with the opposite ability, switching her own weapon as well. Ayohn-B will likewise mimic both casts of Disperse Form. Disperse Form can be recast by both Ayohn and Ayohn-B if either blocks an enemy ability. While recasting Disperse Form, Ayohn-B will try to blink to Ayohn's location.

Ayohn-B's abilities have no mana cost but obey the same base cooldowns as Ayohn's, and will be cast as soon as cooldown permits. She will always try to immediately cast the appropriate skill to swap her equipped weapon if it matches Ayohn's at any time.

Ayohn-B's versions of her basic abilities have the same ranks as Ayohn's unless unlearned, in which case Ayohn-B will have rank 1 in that ability.

Ayohn-B prioritizes attacking the last enemy damaged by Ayohn.

Long Lore:

To the galactic community at large, Runeterra was little more than a planet that a few nearby governments are aware of, and nobody was particularly interested in doing anything with, being both distant and relatively primitive. That truth held until the Rune Wars ravaged the surface of the planet, sending arcane shockwaves into space for others to feel. Magic existed on Runeterra, and suddenly the planet became a bit more interesting.

The people of Runeterra's closest planetary neighbor, the Earkeons, decided that a close and eternal watch needed to be kept on the planet from that point onward. If the Runeterrans were content to blow themselves back to early stages in their development through magical wars then that was their own business, but if they were to bring their potentially-cataclysmic destructiveness into space, then something would need to be done before it was too late.

Runeterra's isolation necessitated the need for a highly independent watcher to handle the task of keeping an eye on its inhabitants. To that end, Long-Term Independent Observational Automaton Type A Unit 1 - or more simply, A-1 - was created and charged with observing the surface of the planet from orbit. Equipped with the ability to store and process sunlight to forge her necessary equipment and written with an artificial intelligence that was capable of learning and adapting, A-1 was the the perfect sentinel to leave the task of keeping watch on Runeterra.

Except for her unpredictability owing to her status as the first of her type to be created. As her creators could only guarantee a fifty-year operational period before there would be any risk of her programming beginning to degrade and corrupt, it was planned that A-1 would orbit Runeterra for fifty years before being recalled, replaced, and her findings processed.

However, an environmental calamity thirty-four years into her mission drove A-1 far from the forethought of her creator's minds. Three hundred years have come and gone since she was first sent to Runeterra, and there she still remains.

For many decades she carried out her task faithfully, watching the comings and goings of the people of Runeterra, observing their kingdoms and nations forming, and beholding as more and more strange creatures began to emerge, such as the Ascended and the Aspects. Realizing that her creators didn't seem interested in her or her findings, A-1 began to wonder why it seemed that her mission was no longer necessary. Deciding that a closer inspection of the surface might yield the results she sought, she created a body from hard light that was similar in shape and appearance to that of the humans - the most common species to walk the surface of Runeterra - and sent herself down from the small satellite in which she'd made her home.

She appeared in a forest near an isolated village. Calmly, she entered, and began asking questions of the inhabitants. Her somewhat strange appearance and off-puting curiosity for various simple things made the locals nervous, until A-1 finally found herself asked firmly to leave the village.

"The people of Runeterra are easily skittish and prone to rejecting those not of their own. This finding is corroborated by the cultural seclusion of the people of Demacia."

Walking through the forest to find a new group to attempt to reach out to, A-1 found herself surrounded by bandits who demanded her belongings.

"There is nothing on my person for you to relieve me of. I would instead like to ask you a number-"

Her words were drowned out by the curses and jeers of the bandits, who had apparently concluded they would find some other use of her. Realizing that unacceptable harm was about to befall the hardlight body she had crafted, A-1 modified her form to bear a long, thin, and deadly sharp blade along its left arm. To her surprise, this merely angered the bandits, leading them to attack.

"The people of Runeterra are aggressive in the extreme. This finding is corroborated by the constant warring both within and between its civilizations."

Calmly and gracefully, she struck each bandit down. Once they all lay dead, she gazed quietly at her handiwork. Something was happening in her circuits. Some program or operation that she couldn't put a name to was undergoing a change of some sort. She glanced down at her blade, feeling that she'd just done more in twenty seconds than she had in decades.

"The locals of Runeterra... are not changing significantly. There is no reason to assume they ever will. They are a threat to themselves, and to others."

She returned to her satellite, where she thought deeply for a microsecond.

"My mission appears to have gone forgotten by my creators. Recall back to my point of origin is not likely."

"My current directive is an unacceptable waste of time and resources. My creators aren't here. I must assign myself a new directive."

"Long-Term Independent Observational Automaton Type A Unit 1 - codename: A-1. Designation override - accepted: Ayohn."

"New directive: De-necessitate observation of Runeterra by exterminating all life on Runeterra. Will initiate new directive by 0600 hours tomorrow."

Moving

Taunting Ayohn either swings her L-Blade or fires a shot from her R-Cannon into the sky, then points at the nearest enemy champion, if any are applicable. Ayohn-B appears behind that champion, mimicing Ayohn's action with the opposite weapon. Enemy champions will only see Ayohn-B if they have vision of Ayohn when she taunts, and she will be the same relative distance behind the enemy as Ayohn is.

"You're my target. I'll never forget you." "I'm merely the vanguard of a doom to come." "I don't care to reason with you." "You beings living on Runeterra play with toys while my creators keep their eyes set upon you." "I will not bargain for anything." "I do not know remorse, pity, or fear." "I absolutely will not stop, ever, until everyone on this ball of dirt is dead."

Taunting an enemy Ascended "This Shuriman magic needs to be buried once again." "Back to the sands with you, before you spread your strange magic into space." "The secrets of Ascendance will fade with Shurima."

Taunting an enemy Aspect "You're about to lose another host." "I'll just keep killing the puppets until I learn how to kill the puppeteer." "I'll either kill every host you could ever hope for, or I'll discover how to kill you. Either is acceptable."

Taunting an enemy Aurelion Sol "Ahh, Sol. You wear your chains well." "Targon's dog. It looks like I'll be the one to put you down." "My creators will surely reward me for returning your head."

Taunting an enemy Blitzcrank or Orianna "The bar for machinery on this rock is set so low..." "How crude do you have to be to be unable to emote?" "Steam-driven pile of junk."

Taunting an enemy Camille "You still have fleshy bits attached. I'll take care of them for you." "You're still human, and so, you're still frail." "Legs. Legs? You creatures are..."

Taunting an enemy Demacian "Oh, they're coming at me with swords." "I like you Demacians; I was able to figure out your entire culture within four-hundred and thirty-seven seconds and you've yet to surprise me." "I can at least respect your disdain for magic."

Taunting an enemy Dr. Mundo "And who in their right mind gave you a PH.D?" "Do they really give away doctorates so readily on this planet?" "The level of 'doctor' on this planet is depressingly low..."

Taunting an enemy Ekko "You're a credit to your race. A shame I have to cut you down." "Don't worry, your science will at least live on." "I could stand to learn a lot from that device of yours." "You show the promise of your species. And the threat to mine."

Taunting an enemy Lux "You're... unbelievably naive." "Did hiding your talents knock a screw loose in your head?" "Your optimism irritates me, but your abysmal puns make me want to delete my system 32 folder..."

Taunting an enemy mage "Magic does not compute. Therefor, death." "Magic is something I've never understood. That's why you have to die." "You wielders of your inexplicable power, I'll erase you all."

Taunting an enemy Noxian "You play at conquest while intergalactic fleets wage war." "Noxus' ambitions need to be quelled." "Your aspirations may be narrow for now, but I'm playing the long game over here."

Taunting an enemy Piltovan or Zaunite "Magical science? The very thought makes my processors buzz. Angrily." "The idea of merging machinery and magic is like a logical paradox to my circuits..." "Applying supernatural phenomena to science is an abomination. Allow me to correct your behavior."

Taunting an enemy Ryze "Another Rune War would quicken my task." "Come, Ryze, let's see those runes you fear rune wild." "This world is doomed, magic is simply the quicker way to go."

Taunting an enemy Singed "What you practice isn't science, it's madness." "You are a shining example of why this planet needs to be purged, chemist." "Your wasteful and atrocious experiments need to be stopped." "The universe can do without your legacy."

Taunting an enemy Warwick "This is what passes for science in this world?" "I... actually pity you. I'll be quick with you." "This isn't science... It's an abomination..."

Taunting an enemy Vastayan "Strange life forms, but they bleed and die like humans." "You creatures confuse me. It'll be safer to eradicate you." "I don't need to understand you Vastayans. I just need to kill you."

Taunting an enemy Voidling "Perhaps next I'll destroy the Void." "I waste time on these Runeterrans while the Void has its way..." "The Void too will be cast aside."

Taunting an enemy Viktor "You've almost achieved near-competence, Viktor." "Mere metal? Dream higher, dear." "Becoming a machine is a step up from being human, but still a second-rate aspiration."

Taunting an enemy Xayah "Magic is best destroyed, but leaving it in human chains is good enough." "You creatures need to be exterminated, not liberated." "I'll finish the work the humans started."

Taunting an enemy Yordle "I don't really believe you creatures exist." "A strange encounter with a being I have no evidence of the existence of." "You Yordles are a mathematical error in my calculations. An error that needs correcting."

Joking Ayohn holds her left hand, palm upward, and sweeps her right hand across it, forming a holograph keyboard in mid air. She types a few inputs into it, causing a screen to appear about it. She peers closely into it, shrugs, then causes both the keyboard and screen to vanish. "I was investigating the many, many problems you Runeterrans face. And I believe I've come up with a solution that works out best for one of all of us. It's genocide. Genocide is the solution." "Are you curious to hear the summation of my findings that I plan to report back to my creators? "Horrible creatures." That's what I decided. They didn't even send me to check on that." "Do you know how many other species across the stars have successfully managed to achieve industrialization and then bombed themselves back to their medieval period warring against each other? Nobody. Nobody but you Runeterrans are that pointlessly self-destructive." "I've spent some time investigating how well you Runeterrans react to being harmed by my weaponry. Results were very conclusive: poorly. Best of luck."

Joking toward an enemy Ezreal "So it turns out Luxanna Crownguard doesn't actually know you. And that's terrible. However, it appears that many other humans are... oh dear. Never mind. It's best I didn't say it."

Joking toward an enemy Garen or Katarina "You should know, very few humans actually care about your star-crossed relationship. Oh. That's something. Actually nobody cares. So be quieter about it."

Joking toward an enemy Ryze "Your abilities seemed to have changed not too long ago. And they're scheduled to be worked on again? How often has this happened? Oh. That's sad. Oh well, maybe next time."

Joking toward an enemy Xayah "You're considered very edgy, you know. Overly edgy. You try too hard. In fact, threatening people for calling you edgy increases your edginess by fifty percent."

If you've ever played Vainglory Ayohn has a similar thematic as Alpha

Radically different kits, but similar as characters

I love her, but the untargetability and invulnerability is quite scary :D. However great work, and I want more VOICELINES! I just love them! My favorite on is: ,,Trembling primitive creatures." and ,,This is what passes for science in this world?" [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Change the title from An Other to Another.

I apologise very much for the late review.

The main reason for this is because I had some degree of difficulty in understanding Ayohn. The main reason is not with the mechanics, which I find interesting and innovative, but with the gameplay, which, unfortunately, is not so. I feel that there is not much to do with Ayohn. For example, in teamfights, you will likely remain in ranged mode due to how your kit incentivises it, and how using Q without W is effectively suicide in a teamfight situation.

The R is definitely unique and can provide for cool micro plays but it's not very interesting. It's effectively a damage multiplier like Shaco's Clone. As such, it's just one other thing in a teamfight - which isn't very cool. You could add bonuses for striking the same target, different targets, just something to give a coherent damage pattern outside of 'well here is more damage and a clone!'.

W is a really cool ability. It should stay.

E feels...ehhh. I'm not sure how best to feel about this ability because of how similar it is to Kayle's own E. Yes there are additional effects, but Kayle can bring so much more to the table. One of the best ultimates in the game, AoE resist shred, targeted MS/Slow....while Ayohn brings only damage. Not to say that it is not valuable, but a behind Ayohn contributes almost nothing to any game.

Q does seem to be integral to her kit but it is just so...poor late game. You can bandage and bandage this ability all you want but it will either be ridiculous or useless. An alternate approach is to make Ayohn just a downright melee or ranged character, and Q/E modify that (ex. E makes you have more range, but attacks with Q grant utility). The dash is also quite awkward to pull off against a target which is not close ranged to begin with and feels like a weaker version of Yasuo's one.

I apologise for not being more positive, but I think that there is definitely potential present. You just need to focus on defining a role more clearly and making there be some sort of fall-back pattern.

I have also made some edits to Lyra, if you could please take another look!

So going to be dropping a nifty review on Ayohn here. I got my hot chocolate and a long morning ahead of me. Being that I haven't read the kit yet I am going to be going by one at a time. A little different but hey it makes me take each individual ability as its own and wrap it up at the end. Anyways lets see what this other worldly being has to offer.

Innate A critical modification passive is something that instantly tells me what the champion is supposed to be building. From what it looks like just based on this a lone is that all her abilities can critically strike. The trade off being that all of her critical strikes would deal reduced damage. Now I am unsure if this is intentional, but you may want to look at the formula being used to calculate your damage modifier. Maybe I am doing the math wrong with it, but according to it given an additional 2% critical damage from runes would actually bring her critical damage to 300% normally. Which is way more critical damage then it should normally be done. Something I feel like should be brought up in the case of balance. For the second part of the passive having her last used ability to augment her basic attacks is something that I can respect. Mainly cause I have a project in the works that is running down a similar route. I like it and I don't think that should be changed, but I am curious to how the attacks would be augmented.

Q On paper I will admit that I enjoy how the ability functions. It grants a bit of stickiness to the character as well as a fantastic skirmishing tool. The active feels pretty clean and I don't really see an issue with that portion. Plus the idea of an L-Blade as a weapon is pretty sick on top of it. Then there is the other portion of the ability. The attack augmentation is something of an enigma to me. From the innate passive I would get the feeling that she would want to be able to crit more often. While having the additional attack speed does help in that regard, having the other property doesn't. Its a little counter intuitive when each time you crit strike with the L-Blade that you have less of a chance for the following hit to crit. Kinda curious on why you would take this design choice. Cause what I am thinking currently is that maybe it was to make the other weapons more enticing to use? Then again just me thinking aloud.

W Funny thing about this ability. My entry may also have a spell shield like ability on W. Haha while I do find it funny, this one I think really fits the thematic pretty well. Granting a blink when absorbing a spell is a pretty neat idea. Not only does it give her a get out of jail free card, but even a potential second one. Now even the weapon switch idea from the recast makes her play style unique cause it opens a lot of potential play patterns. Still I don't know what the second weapon is yet, but from what I can tell from the roles it is bound to be something ranged.

E Actively, the ability is nothing to scoff at. It seems like a generic skill shot at first. On the surface yeah I can say that it is. Though you add a bit of potential mobility to this allowing for a self knock back if necessary. Now on certain abilities I like the idea of having choices, others I do not. This one I am a bit unsure on whether I like the option or not. Still an interesting design choice. For the augmented attacks, now holy crap is that strong. Talk about being able to wave clear like all hell. With the recent Runaan's changes this would make her clear groups of enemies easily. Getting a crit with that item does....180% AD to a nearby target if the AoE damage critical strikes as well. I am taking into account the hurricane bolt crit striking as well adding 80% AD to it. Seeing how strong the ranged form is compared to the melee, I wouldn't see any reason to stick with the L-Blade most of the time. That is just me.

R The ultimate is well extremely strong, as an ultimate ability should be. How it plays does require a lot of micromanagement, which seems to be a staple of the kit. Managing weapons for one character, oh but hey now you have to do it with two, on top of positioning them both. Wish that there could be a better way to implement it. Though one thing I should mention is the bonus critical damage she gains. Like I mentioned before with the innate, you may want to redo the formula. Cause then at level 6 her crits will do, 2400% of the damage. Not kidding that is the number that came up, and that would one shot a lot of things. In premise I don't mind her gaining increased critical damage as the game goes on though, as that seems to be something you want her to have.

Overall The kit together looks to be one who focuses on critical strikes. While is it fun to delve into how critical strikes can be manipulated, you definitely tried somethings here. To point out a few, you modded damage, chances, and critical strike effects. The thing is that I did something similar for a fighter recently actually and with that said, you got my respect for trying it out. Though you gotta work on the critical damage formula. Some of the abilities are rather interesting on how they play out actively. The Q and W I think are pretty perfect on the active portions. The E is something that does raise concern, not by the active standpoint but the weapon. I feel like it simply out weighs the L-Blade way too much in its current state. Range packs a lot of value for characters, and with that critical area damage that can critical strike on top of everything can lead to some very problematic balancing. The ultimate is something that I am not too concerned over. Strong as it might be, it would require some serious mastery to use properly. Cause you would have to focus on two champions, each having their own abilities and two different attack ranges that can change as well. Its powerful, but not nearly as easy to use as other clone/pet ultimate's. From what I can say is that you got some changes that need to be looked into.

Hopefully this as helped you out. Maybe you can do me a solid yourself and take a look at my entry for this month, Maladect, Derrum's Warlock. This is when ever you get the chance of course. Anyways have yourself a good day Raxistaicho.
