##Lore

“That’s a nice blade you carry, boy” said a man to a passer by wearing a hooded black cloak. Outside on an inclined surface this man sat comfortably gazing up into the night sky. A lone path peaked out from the leaves and twigs that littered the ground floor just before his legs which were crossed. Not many walk this path anymore.

“I’ve seen enough to be given a man's respect, sir” the hooded figure responded after stopping in place. He didn't realize that his long glowing knife was peeking out of the bottom of his cloak. It may have even been a sword by its length, but this was a special knife with ancient etchings on its blade.

“The monolith is not to be trifled with. However, I think you already knew that.” The sitting man said back to the hooded figure, still gazing off into the sky. Then he lowered his head finally and turned his sight to the hooded figure. He spoke again to the him, “I can show you how to make it, if you manage to get enough”. The sitting man said this as if it wasn't as cryptic as it sounded.

The hooded figure raised his arms and grabbed the hood of his dark cloak, slowly pulling it backwards off of his head. Revealed beneath was a being resembling that of a man, however his eyes were light emitting giving the impression that they could change color at a moments notice. For now, they were blue. His face, expressionless. He had a shining mark that ran from his chin to both his ears and another stripe of it on the top of his head. The details gleaned in the moonlight looking metallic. He had a young complexion but his emotionless demeanor suggested he was telling truth about seeing enough to be given a man's respect.

“You know what I seek, do you?” he asked the man on the ground, “Have you seen it before, the monolith?” he continued.

The man on the ground began to stand up only to reach about half of the other figure's height. This man was old compared to the other. He carried some scrolls on his back and had some tattoos that looked meaningful but had lost detail over time.

“I do, young man. And I have” the man said to the figure. “If you have any apprehension whatsoever, I would suggest you turn back now.”

The figures eyes changed from blue to a dark purple, and then slowly to red. “I am told a piece of the Obsidian monolith makes the strongest blade. Is that true?”

“It can be, if you know how to use it” The man said with a satisfied smile. “Again I’ll say before you go on ahead… I can show you how to make it, if you manage to get enough.”

The figure heard a screeching sound and quickly turned in its direction to see what it came form. He saw nothing, only the path he must continue on. He turned back to the man he was talking to, but he was no longer there. Grabbing the hood of his cloak, he drew it back over his head and continued walking along the path.

[ NOISE ] : Mechanical whirring sounds behind the periodic sound of a heavy object rotating in place suddenly followed by a loud bang and muffled voices through walls

A pale hand with a metallic stripe that led up to its palm hastily grabbed the large knife that was spinning mid air.

Ronin was sitting with his legs crossed clutching a large glass-like knife. His yellow eyes were looking all around the himself as if they could see through the walls that surrounded him.

######“.. yours to rule .. death to all .. ro .. mercy is weakness .. fight .. ro .. ro .. RONIN “

Ronin’s eyes quickly became scarlett and still. He was hearing whispers, voices filled with despair. It sounded like many voices trying to speak at once but he was sure he heard his name. Again he heard another loud bang. He got up quickly and lightly moved from his crevice.

“Alright boys let’s go see what we can find. Grab anything of value and then get back to the ship, we don't want to be here too long. Quickly, let’s go! Go ! Go!” A man, clearly in command was shouting orders to his crew. “Gormind, you stay with the ship, keep an eye on all the entrances, we got some precious cargo on board.” He shouted again to a crew member.

“Aye sir!” Gormind responded.

A large descending hatch opened to a wasteland outside. It looked like there had once been some kind of life there, but not anymore. In every direction there was black and purple colored matter that oozed slowly from one spot to another. The sky above was littered with dark clouds and lightning to ad to the ominous feeling this place had given. The crew hustled out the door and went their separate ways.

######“.. come .. terra .. rune .. terra .. rune .. terra .. RONIN! “

Ronin heard the voices again as one of the last members of the crew exited the ship.

“Rune terra ?” Ronin asked himself apprehensively. The crew member called Gormind was still in the doorway that led outside, but Ronin knew there’s no reason for him to pay attention to anything behind him. As far as that guy knew, he was alone. Not counting all of those creatures they got locked up. He made his way to the cockpit of the ship.

“Alright rune and terra, rune-terra…. Ah, Runeterra. This looks nice.” Ronin was navigating through the ships cartography systems.

[ NOISE ] : Pneumatic sounds from landing gear retreating and doors closing coupled with the engines revving up

“Oh shit, no no no no” Ronin had accidentally set the course for Runterra, triggering the take off sequence.

“Coordinates set, preparing for take off” An electronic voice said.

Ronin looked outside, none of the other crew members were in sight. He could hear the creatures locked up in the room over crying out in protest, and then heard rushed footsteps signaling that someone was coming.

“Milly what’s going on?!” Gormind yelled at the computer as he entered the room.

“Coordinates have been set, we are now preparing for take off” Milly responded.

“No Milly, stop now, I command you to stop now.” Gormind shouted. But to no avail. The ship began to rise, and soon enough, it took flight.

[ NOISE ] : More pneumatic hissing as a drop hatch opened from the pilot’s cockpit , monstrous creature growling and screeches

Ronin slowly stepped out from his hiding as Gormind left the ship. He could hear the creatures that were in captivity raging at the uncertainty they’ve been left with. They had arrived at the destination, Runterra.

Ronin took his time to let Gormind get a bit of lead before he left the ship in search of whatever the voices were that lead him here. He looked out over the landscape of the planet moving from window to window. It really was nice, even the large desert they had parked over.

"Don’t worry friends, I’ll set you free!” Ronin yelled at the creatures locked inside.

“Milly?” Ronin asked out loud, hopefully addressing the computer system that controlled the ship.

“Can I help you?” A voice responded, presumably Milly’s.

“Yes Milly, you can. I need you to free all these... things you got locked up in the hull and then do me another favor? I want you to cut off communication with that guy that just left, Gormind is it?” Ronin asked.

“I can do that sir. Are you sure you want me to cut off communications Gormind?” Milly asked.

“Yes, I am sure. Also turn off the cloaking mechanism. I want to cause a scene, a distraction if you will.” Ronin said to Milly.

######“RONIN! “

Ronin’s eyes turned red, and everything around him went silent. This time, he heard only one voice, and it was much clearer than before.

“Cloaking mechanism de-activated. Anything else sir?” Milly asked politely.

“No Milly. I’ll be on my way now.” Ronin said in a hushed tone. He walked over to the drop hatch, opened it and was on his way. He could hear close behind him some of the creatures breaking free of their captivity.

As Ronin descended he tried to clear his mind in hopes of hearing his next calling from whatever it was that had penetrated his mind light years away. He had a hunch where to find it, but he also had a feeling this wasn't the last time it would call his name.

Getting closer and closer to the surface Ronin steered clear of the sandy area, heading a little more west. The landscape was Mountainous but from above Ronin could tell the West was not inhabited, especially the south western peninsula.

Ronin pulled his chute that he grabbed from the spaceship and managed to land on solid ground with no injury. All around him were trees and other green life, all except in one direction. Looking south Ronin noticed a dead tree and behind it another. He unhooked his chute and took a closer look.

Dead tree after dead tree accompanied by dead or dying weeds and flowers, on and on it went like this in a line that grew wider and wider. Soon enough the majority of what he saw was dead and barren. Something about this assured him he was on the right path.

[ NOISE ] : Strong gust of wind

######“.. taken … life .. ruined … glory.. lost… destroyed...“

Ronin continued onward, deeper and deeper into the wasteland. There was something very familiar about the landscape and that of the planet he had just come from.

Finally he felt the thing that was calling to him. A deep earth-penetrating vibration raced through his body. Ronin’s eyes changed red and he put his hand in his cloak and drew out the large glass-like knife, the Obsidian Edge. Still walking, he held the blade out to his side and it rose up from his hand. Then it started spinning, just high enough that it did not cut his hand. The Obsidian Edge moved with him as he started entering rocky hills that barricaded his path forward.

The sun was almost set in the sky at his point, barely any light illuminated Ronin’s path. Each turn lead Roning to another narrow alleyway between the walls of rock that looked to have made some type of a maze. Finally the area opened to large circular area. A few large rocks were scattered here and there, some dead plants and carcasses of animals that never made their way out of the rocky maze.

From the opposite side of the basin he was now in a red flickering light spawned, growing larger. The red pulsing shimmers became more and more defined and began to outline a human like figure. All Ronin could see at this moment was the silhouette of a large man wielding a very large sword. Finally as it emerged from the maze into the basin with Ronin, he realized it was the sword that was glowing red. It was alive, both the figure and the sword.

“I have been waiting, Ronin” The large figured said with voice as deep as the earth quaking vibration he felt earlier.

Ronin did not respond. He took a step back with his right foot, slightly bent his knees ready to move at any instant. He took notice of another source of shimmering red light that soon emerged from the rocky hill side following the same path as the large figure. It looked like a blade, or a large knife. After focusing in on it, he heard it speak to him

#“It is time to kill… RONIN! “

The sound of it’s voice deafened him, Ronin bent down in agony clutching the sides of his head only to look up and notice that the large figure was gone.

[ NOISE ] : Strong bass sound of a large object slow motion obliterating the air particles as it swings downwards

Ronin managed to jump aside at the last possible second as the figures greatsword smashed the very spot he just was, into dust and debris. The force of the blow managed to knock Ronin off his balance even though it did not strike him. Ronin got to his feet and moved away hastily, he started spinning the Obsidian Edge again above his palm.

Now that the large figure was close to him, Ronin realized how large it actually was. It was twice his size if not more. It was covered in dark scuffed armor and carried a massive sword. If it wasn't terrifying enough that it's skin beneath the armor was red and awfully revealing of its entrails, it had massive horns emerging from its head.

“Your magic tricks will not win you your prize Ronin. I demand to see your strength of will. I command you to fight!” The figure yelled with a frenzied voice and continued his relentless assault.

#“ give in Ronin … it is your destiny…”

Ronin drew his hand back, the Obsidian Edge moved with it spinning even faster. Then he grabbed its handle mid spin at the same time lunging forward, then he launched the blade towards the giant. It flew threw the air spinning ferociously.

[ NOISE ] : Thick sounding clunk

The large figure batted the blade away with ease, laughing as he did it. This was all a game to him. But was surprised by the two smaller blades the now pierced into his shoulders. Ronin had thrown two more knives faster than the large figure could react. The knives started burning the large assailant, causing him minimal amounts of pain. These knives were a special pair that Ronin had collected from a vampire that hired him to do some dirty work. Normally they caused the enemy to bleed, but something about this enemy and normalcy didn't go together.

Now alert, the large figure was batting back and forth as Ronin continued his barrage. He was throwing everything he had, moving side to side, dodging the jagged obstacles that littered the arena they were now fighting in.

“ now Ronin… now… do it now Ronin.. NOW’’

Ronin jumped back a few paces and threw three knives one after the other. He had dead aim with these knives, made from the ashes of a dragon that he had slain. They were on their way to deliver the final blows to the large figure, but it made an elegant swipe with his sword batting away all 3 of Ronin’s knives that were flying towards him. And all in the same motion, the large figure jumped drawing his sword up over his head for a devastating blow as Ronin drew his last knife from his cloak, the long glowing blade with fine markings that now visibly read "Daemon Reach". Ronin threw it just in time to jump away from the figures strike. The Daemon Reach discharged a blinding light stunning the large figure. Ronin had just enough time to scale the contenders great sword that had just pulverized the land directly in front of him, right up his arm to jump off of his shoulder into the air behind it.

Time slowed down for a moment as Ronin realized he had nothing left, that he had thrown his last weapon.

#"who are you, Ronin…”

In mid-air he raised his right hand trusting the voice and began to rotate back towards the large figure still stunned from the Daemon Reach. The large red knife that followed the enemy before flew into his outstretched hand, he pulled his arm forward with all of his might and threw the knife into the back of the large figure, who immediately swung his sword at Ronin still in mid-air. The massive sword was inches from making contact with Ronin, about to end his life. But then Ronin disappeared.

“I am Ronin, the Darkin Fang! I will bring this world the suffering it deserves, starting with you!” Ronin shouted, but his voice was much deeper now, and angry.

Ronin had shifted to the back of the large figure where he had thrown the large red knife now with his hand gripping gripping it's handle. He drove it deeper into the enemy's back side releasing the power within it. The knife overcame Ronin, turning him into the very essence of which it contained. The knife turned Ronin into a Darkin.

The large figure started to laugh. He slowly got up still with Ronin on his back. But then Ronin jumped off. The next instant the large figure got even bigger, with incredible wings that emerged from his back.

“And I am Aatrox, the World Ender! Now, you have become my soldier. You felt the despair and welcomed its corrupting power. We will give this world a taste of the agonizing pain that courses through our veins! Come, there are more weapons to release.” Aatrox said to Ronin.

##Lore Summary

Ronin is a lone wolf knife collector who sneaks onto spaceships for as a means to get from one planet to another. The Darkin Fang is one a few weapons that were made from pieces of Darkins, unlike Aatrox's sword or Kayn's sycthe that fully contain the Darkin themselves. These weapons are less powerful, but when used correctly they are of comparable power to that of a true Darkin. Ronin was chosen by Aatrox and lured to the Darkin Fang to wield it and use it the way it was meant to be used to assist him in his mission - to end the world.

Until then, the Darkin Fang feeds on the enemy’s pain storing [ 25% of the damage Ronin deals to the primary target ], to then heal Ronin upon its return. If Ronin does not cast Solus Abandon before Voracity expires, the Darkin Fang will return to Ronin without healing him and will then go on cooldown.

Voracity: Doubles the energy refund from the next Darkin Fang hit, stacking up to twice. Max 100 energy refund. Voracity stacks last for (2) seconds, refreshing each time the Darkin Fang hits an enemy.

#W: Solus Abandon

NOTES: The energy costs have been tuned so that spamming will adversely affect damage output. You will want to wait about a second between the Q and W casts in order to regenerate enough energy for a 3rd consecutive Q in a full rotation. In example; (Current Energy) Spam Rotation → (200), Q (150) hits (175), W (100), Q (50) hits (100), W (25) → not enough energy to cast any abilities.

With appropriate pacing you’ll have regenerated enough energy so that after the second W, you’ll be around 50 energy instead of 25, giving you the ability to cast a 3rd Q which would return 100 energy, due to Voracity passive, giving you the option to use R which will open Ronin's max damage potential.

Calculated rotation incorporating pacing to regen energy along the way → (200), Q (150) hits (175), W (110), Q (65) hits (120), W (50), Q (0) hits (100), R (0) executes (100), Q (50) hits (150), W (75), Q (25) hits (125), W (50), Q (0) hits (100), just enough for another R cast to reset the cycle.
