Lore

Knock-knock-knock “Hey! Would you guys quiet down in there?!” Gormind yelled, after hitting the metal surface behind him.

POUND-POUND-POUND, something responded.

“I think we’re here, I'll let you all out when I get back! Rox your in charge while I’m gone, don’t let Caige bully the others! I’ll be back in a few!” Gormind yelled again at a metal door. The sounds of multiple screeches and hissing noises followed by some growls and thuds indicated that something or some things on the other side of that door understood him.

Gormind was sitting in an elaborate captains chair inside the hull of spaceship. He pulled out a rolled-up flimsy, transparent looking piece of material.

“Come on you old piece of” he shook the material and slowly but surely it revealed itself to be a map. “There ya go” He said with pride. The map was advanced, in shotty condition as it was flickering here and there as Gormind manipulated it trying to find his location. He adjusted it over and over again until finally “Aha!” he exclaimed, “Runeterra?”

Gormind looked puzzled. He then looked out the cockpit of his ship at the land below, stretching as much as he could to get a better view and then sat back. After a big sigh “Alright Milly, I'm just going to go make sure I can let these guys out here then we are headed back to get save the captain. Don't let me down there too long.”. He said aloud to his computer. Gormind touched the collar of mech-suit that seemed to trigger a helmet to construct over his head. He flicked a few more switches, turned a few knobbs and finally pulled a big yellow lever that opened an escape hatch behind his chair. Gormind got up, stretched his limbs, prepped his weapons “looking good, feeling good, being… badass” Gormind chuckled and hopped through the hatch.

As he was descending through the atmosphere to the ground below, an absolutely massive spaceship was lingering in place of where he dropped from. A cloud of exhaust from his stabilizing boosters indicated his path leading all the way back up to the tiny hole he jumped through, and from this angle that was a hundreth of the size of the entire spaceship. Then the spaceship disappeared as it’s cloaking mechanism kicked in.

As he descended he veered off the path of landing directly into what looked like an inhabited city below. “I’d rather not arrive un-welcomed” Gormind said to his computer. “This looks deserted” he said again to her, directing his fall towards what looked like a smooth orange-ish brown patch of land from this height.

“Woah woah woah” Gormind called out as if his mech-suit was some kind of animal that needed to settle down. His stabilizers shut off and he gracefully met the surface of a vast desert. He pulled out the transparent material again its image was fluttering, but it seemed agitated by the sandy winds that filled the desert. “This way” he said confidently. Then all of the sudden a panicked feeling took over him, and he remained in place.

Gormind began to hear a deep echoing noise. He started to feel it too. Then it stopped. Gormind looked around but saw nothing.

“Whaaaat the fuuuuhh” Gormind picked up his right foot, just then he felt the movement again. He slowly put it back down as he saw movement in the sand far in front of his position. “This is not a drill. Okay, okay, I'm ready” The tip of Gormind’s right forearm morphed into a minigun and began revolving.

The bump in the sand receded downwards. A few seconds passed, nothing but the sandy winds could be heard. Suddenly loud threatening, echoing sounds were audible.

“Lets see what you think of this Sweet Business!” Gormind yelled and began to fire shots from his forearm that had morphed into a minigun. He was spraying erratically but in the peripherals of his fire he could see the brief flashes of the creatures movement beneath the sand.

The firing ceased. Gormind lifted his arm showing the red-hot smoking tips of the minigun spinning down, cooling off.

[ NOISE ] rek’sai’s scream

A large purple beast jumped out from the sand towards Gormind, its claws drawn back ready to cleave its enemy. Gormind at the same took a step back avoiding the creatures first swipe, at the same time fired a harpoon at the beast with his canon morphed left arm. The beast followed through with its second swipe slashing Gormind with it’s large claws sending him in the air 20 feet to the right of where he just was.

“Shit , shit, shit, this thing is gonna kill me” Gormind was frantically navigating options in his helmet interface. “Why do all of these planets have so many fucking issues” Gormind was scrambling to his feet now. “Show yourself, where are you!?” Gormind was poised.

The bump in the sand returned moving towards Gormind. “Come on now just a little closer, come on” Gormind was gritting his teeth but holding his position. “Target locked” Milly alerted him. Just then missile strikes began to barrage the monster in the sand, one after another large explosions created a sandstorm. Gormind wasted no time watching the destruction, he took off and ran for the hills.

Arriving at the base of a mountain Gormind slowed down for a break, he was breathing heavily. “Hopefully I don’t see anything like that ever again. Although now that I think about it, it kinda looked like Caige. And Caige is an asshole. No wonder it tried to kill me. I gotta get back to the ship, we can’t stay here.” Gormind started navigating through his helmet interface again, “System Failure” Milly informed. The thrusters Gormind was planning to use to get back to his ship were destroyed. All that was left were a few massive slash marks from the monster he encountered in the desert.

Gormind let out a big sigh, “I gotta find someone who can fix these things” still taking large breaths. He again pulled out his transparent map. “Third time’s the charm” Gormind said with a refreshed tone. The map illuminated in perfect working condition informing he that he was on the right path to a city called Piltover.

The city had multiple entrances but Gormind knew he had to be careful about getting in there. After all he was a foreigner, and not just of this city but of this planet. He was well equipped to scrap with the next guy, but not with an entire city. And from what he could see looking at this city, Piltover was rich, and rich cities have large defenses.

“Milly, can you see any way I can get in here without getting caught?” Gormind asked.

His computer responded “Below the city is another, less restricted. You should find a way there.”

“Perfect. That seems more my style anyways.” Gormind began to move around the outside of Piltover looking for another entrance to the city below.

Deeper into the rocky landscape around the outside and much of what is Piltover, Gormind found a path that seemed to go… downward. He started to follow it, but with caution as his right arm morphed into the minigun and started revolving slowly.

The deeper he wandered down the path the darker his surroundings became. Still some light made its way through the cracks, filtered through the ubiquitous fog although not really bringing anything to life. The occasional droplets of sludge like fluid into larger puddles of the same substance caused Gormind to flinch in the direction the sounds were coming from.

“You're not alone, I hope?” A large figure emerged from the shadows before Gormind. Soon after a few more silhouettes defined themselves, there were 5 in total. The one that spoke called the shots, Gormind noted, and the others follow close in his wake. He had some unique features, half man, half-machine?

“Of course not, my buddy’s just using your ahh, fine facilities outback” Gormind said sarcastically while slowly pacing back.

The large one lifted his bionic arm and pointed, “Boys don’t break anything, he’s got some nice parts”

Gormind’s left arm quickly morphed into the cannon it had before as the smaller silhouettes that broke the shadows were now moving towards him. They all had experienced a similar fate as the large one bearing a few bionic eyes and limbs, one of them even had have a metal torso.

The moment they got too close Gormind let it rip. He started painting the area with bullets from his minigun, and he pinned on of the minions to the rocky wall it was in front of with his harpoon cannon. Still it was not enough, they had their own weapons and they were getting dangerously close to apprehending him. Another minion had tossed something at him that missed, luckily. Gormind took note that the substance within was melting the metal scraps laying around nearby.

Instead of making a huge spectacle out of the situation, Gormind decided to see his way out using one of his favorite tools. He grabbed a grenade from his side and pulled the pin. He tossed it right in between the lot of them. Two of the minions fly a few feet backwards as the grenade exploded and the others pushed backwards with their hands and other bionic parts covering their eyes. Gormind took his chance to flee.

“I’m really not in the mood for all of this shit. I just need to fix my gear and leave. Milly, find me somewhere I can deal with this so we can leave, now!.” Gormind said with frustration. But there was no answer. “Mill?” He called again, but still no answer.

Gormind was back out at the start of the treacherous path again. “What was that you threw in there?” Gormind whipped around and saw an elderly fellow holding himself up with a cane. He had a large sack hanging over his shoulder, and oddly no bionic body parts.

Gormind’s red hot minigun started spinning up again, “What’s it to you?” he asked.

“Oh, hah, don’t fret over me. I can’t hurt you. Most of all you wouldn’t want something from bag to let loose by accident!” The old man was smiling, clearly not afraid of Gormind. This seemed to calm Gormind. Still his right arm was redhot from firing at the goons that tried to jump moments ago.

“Here, try this” The old man said pulling something from his pockets. It was a vial that contained some blue liquid. He uncorked it and splash some onto Gormind’s right arm. Instantly his miniugn was cooled and developed a bit of frost.

“What the hell is that stuff?” Gormind asked excitedly. He tried grasping the vial from the old man, but he was surprisingly quick.

“I call it, Nitro-Zaun” The old man said with a cheeky smile. “I’ll tell you what. You give me a few those grenades and give you all the Nitro-Zaun you need. How about it, do we have a deal?”

“Sure I got plenty of these Cool Tricks, as I call them. They got this mark on them, CT-63, I was never told what it meant. But it works wonders, it messes with your eyes if you see it explode. Be careful with it.” Gormind exchanged the grenades and vials with the old man. Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he noticed something and looked up. Although it was dark, he had a stinging feeling that he knew what he was looking at in the sky above. It was confirmed by the subsequent masses falling from it.

Gormind re-positioned himself and could see his spaceship. The cloaking device had failed, and judging by the falling masses, he had a hunch why. “That explains why Milly won’t respond.” Gormind said aloud. “Hey sir, do you know how to fix something like this? I need to get back to my ship” But the old man was gone. “Nice, didn't even say goodbye. The nerve of the people here.”

"I really hope Caige didn’t make it off the ship.” Gormiind held up one of the vials he just received and read Doran’s. “I thought it was called Nitrozon. Or Nitrozin, no Nitrozan. Nizon. Myzon. My Nizon. Screw it, Im calling this stuff Z-ice.” He stored his Z-ice, and began making his way back to the desert where he was sure his monsters must have landed.

Character Short Story

Gormind was a part of crew of space pirates who worked as bounty hunters. Anything they could get money for they hunted down and captured. Gormind was particularly good at dealing with the monster bounties. He always believed he was doing good by the creatures, capturing them and keeping them out of harm’s way both for themselves and for others that they would no doubt harm. One day, while the crew was out plundering what they could from a void ridden planet, the ship Gormind was left to guard had taken off without any direction, or so it seemed. Gormind alone with the creatures locked up arrived at Runterra where Gormind attempted to safely release the creatures.

#Champion Kit - Gormind, The Monster Hunter

Base Attack Speed: 1 (+0-0%), Gormind does not gain attack speed per level | Disoriented is a new status effect that freeze frames the affected Champion's vision of enemies for a period of time.

#P: Sweet Business

P: Sweet Business | Bonus Attack Speed: 300%

The right arm of Gormind’s mech-suit morphs into a minigun that he uses for auto-attacks, that allows him to break the attack speed cap. The minigun has a slow initial attack speed that ramps up to 300% bonus attack speed over (3) seconds, but the bonus attack speed resets if more than ( 1 / AS ) seconds pass before another auto-attack is fired. After (3) seconds of continuous auto-attacking, Sweet Business is activated.

Sweet Business: While activated, Gormind retains the 300% attack speed bonus but his minigun begins to generate heat. The minigun generates (1) heat every shot and overheats at ( 15 + 5 x ( AS - 3 ) ) heat preventing Gormind from auto-attacking for (3) seconds while it cools down, also deactivating Sweet Business. While activated (1) heat is lost every ( 1 / AS ) seconds Gormind doesn't auto-attack and completely cools down if (1.5) seconds pass before another auto-attack is fired deactivating Sweet Business. The last round fired as the minigun overheats deals an additional [ 25% AD + 75% AP ] magic damage over 3 seconds.

Gormind’s auto-attacks deal 75% damage

#Q: Cool Trick

Q: Cool Trick | Cooldown: 18 seconds at all ranks | Range: 800 | Speed: 1000 | Cost: 100 mana Effect Radius: 400 | Bounce Range: 50-200 | Disorientation Duration: .25/.375/.5/625/.75 seconds

Gormind tosses a CT-63 grenade to a target location, it bounces once and then explodes upon reaching its next peak dealing [ 50-250 + 25% AD + 30% AP ] physical damage to nearby enemies. The distance traveled after its bounce is based on how far it was tossed. Nearby enemy Champions facing the explosion are disoriented for a short period.

#W: Z-ice

W: Z-ice | Cooldown:20/19/18/17/16 seconds | Cost: 70 mana

Gormind smashes a vial of Z-ice on his minigun that instantly cools it removing any heat generated up to this point.

Z-ice does not activate or deactivate Sweet Business. If Z-ice is used while minigun is overheated, the (3) second cool down is then reduced to (0) seconds.

#E: Tagged

E: Tagged | Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds | Target Range: 800 | Tether Range: 400 | Cost: 75 mana

Gormind’s left arm of his mech suit morphs into a cannon and fires a harpoon at a targeted enemy Champion dealing [ 25-125 + 20% AD + 40% AP ] physical damage. The harpoon pierces through the targeted Champion, leaving an anchor behind, and sticks into the next enemy Champion in-line of fire dealing [ 25-125 + 70% AD +20% AP ] physical damage tethering them together. The tethered Champions can move freely within 400 units of each other, but cannot move past 400 units of each other by any of their own means until the tether is broken. The two will remain connected until the tether pulled taut for a total of (1.5) seconds, or if one of the tethered enemies die, after which the tether breaks and no additional damage is dealt.

If the harpoon fails to stick into a Champion or wall or if a tethered Champion is forced past the 400 unit threshold by an enemy ability, the anchor will be pulled out of the targeted Champion dealing [ 25-125 + 70% AD +20% AP ] physical damage, and slowing their movement speed by 50% for (.5) seconds.

The harpoon leaves behind a secondary anchor within the targeted Champion after it pierces through, that is attached to the harpoon anchor itself by a piece of rope

#R: Shelling

R: Shelling | Cooldown: 160/120/100 Seconds | Target Range: 600 | Effect Radius: 150 | Cost: 100 mana

Gormind calls to his spaceship for a barrage of 10 missile strikes at an area surrounding the targeted enemy’s position. The spaceship will track the enemy’s movement and all missiles will target the enemy's most recent position and strike (.5) seconds after dealing [ 30 + 30% AD + 40% AP] magic damage per missile.

But isn't that Ziggs Q And Gangplank R ???????

PrimalOppression4/5/2019, 1:49:33 PM1 votes

As someone mentioned, your Q is Ziggs Q with new effect. Ult is interesting. Tether is changed ult of GrimStroke from DOTA 2. Passive is basically Rumble passive, but on AA instead of Skills. Also with Jinx Q passive.

My proposed changes: Passive: Remove overheat and buildup. Instead say his suit has to prepare ammo, which would be his secondary resource. When he starts shooting, he drains one bullet per shot, but he STARTS firing very fast, slowing down the lower his ammo pool is. (as most ammo is stored half finished to save space) You cannot regenerate ammo for 1.5 second after you stop shooting.

Q: Make it vector cast, like Talyah W. After first bounce, grenades second bounce is targeted towards point you designated (this means its trajectory can turn 180 degrees back to you). Range of second bounce is fixed. Also instead of new effect, just use short sight debuff.

W: Armor piercing rounds. Jab in new mag of piercing rounds, gaining % armor piercing. This also fully reloads your ammo. Effect is lost once you start reloading ammo.

E: This will be fking nightmare for devs to make work. Even worse to balance. Or hit in crucial moment. Maybe instead of binding two for unlimited time. Make it so once it pierces first hero, it jabs into ground behind him. It makes him grounded, and unable to move far from point when harpoon got stuck. Can be removed by channeling on spear for 1.5 sec, or it self breaks after 10 sec.

R: Time between strikes is 1.5 sec, if it hits it stuns for 0.75 sec.
