I want the old Soraka back. I know she is just a support but look at Sona even though Sona was nerfed she still continues to deal a lot of damage. Sure Soraka can heal a lot more than other champions but soraka cant fight. When playing soraka it's like a 4v5 for your team. All Soraka can do Is try to spam her q, which doesn't do a lot of damage late game. I hope Soraka can get a buff sooner or later!
You realise that yeah, she doesn't do alot of damage but she can keep your team alive for longer, allowing them to do more damage in her place.
She's actually really strong IMO. Her laning is extremely good and she can keep her ADC full health at all times after trading. Her Ult can win fights from across the map if she can pay attention to other lanes. Her lategame isn't the greatest I'll agree but played well she can easily make it work. She's pretty underrated
I also miss the old Soraka kit, but I play her a lot even now. Soraka can still do quite a bit of damage, but it is loaded in the bonus Q damage and both E procs, making it difficult to access. I recommend taking Soraka with another champion with enough crowd control to keep one or more people in your silence field long enough for both procs. If you can hit that and the center of your Q, you have a total AP ratio of 130%.
I almost always take Ardent Censer on Soraka, which helps her team dish out a lot more damage in fights. Even if she isn't obviously doing the damage herself, as old Soraka did, you can still contribute quite a bit of it to team fights. If you really want to do damage, you could always build a spellblade item. She casts often enough that you will essentially always have the empowered auto attack while fighting.
Believe me, I wanted the old Soraka too, if only stupid people would stop using her as a top/mid laner, I would be happy about it.
I miss my support Raka too, I always supported with her, I got thought 20 levels with her as my main and I miss her old Q and E. I hate the new ones and I know I will not get used to it. I had to switch to Janna but I still want Raka back.
I like the new Soraka to a certain extent, but her kit is not as good as other supports, in my opinion. Nami and sona both have the option to heal themselves and sona provides mana and nami’s Abilities give a speed boost. Soraka’s q and e are both hard to land, especially when the slow is not always effective and the silence lasts for less than a second - where as champs like Lulu have a much more damaging slow and an effective silence. Meanwhile, soraka’s w heals for less than other champs AND hurts her to do it. So I can maybe get off 3 heals before I’m weak in lane and without warmong’s health regeneration or a LOT of potions, soraka just gets slaughtered. Riot please please please give me back SOME utility. Maybe her q could give mana again or maybe her heal actually uses MANA again.
Its more like 6v5 for your team if nobody uses grievous wounds and 4 1/2 v 5 for your team if they do. You rarely get even matches and if you do, it's more like a clown fiesta were both sides are too stupid to close the game. Usually as soon as there is a Soraka in a match, one side will get snowballed on.
You can thank Riot for keeping GW and never actually balancing heals.
GW is a "release valve", buying it is "intellectual mastery", it's a "powerfull reaction" but "we also want heals to be impactful" LUL
