I wanted her to be a top lane champion not a mid only champion. Katarina looks way cooler on top than mid, mid is usually champions like ziggs, xerath, Lux. Why not top lane if she would look better going against master yi rengar and garen like the cinematic.
The real problem is that reworking her simply for the lane she gets played in isn't enough to sway the creative minds who are working on other things, like finding new reason to nerf irelia (lol jk).
she already had a rework.
I've played dozens of games with AD bruiser or full tank Katarina top lane. If you acquire the game knowledge to pull it off, it totally works.
If Riot were to magically rework her, I'd like to see her scale as efficiently with AD as she does with AP. Knives have always seemed... AD... to me. But I digress. Riot has bigger fish to fry.
