1: Appearance and Description

Sera is the prodigy of the Lightwings, a race of winged beings that live peacefully on the islands in the clouds, or at least shes supposed to be. She surely doesn't act like one at least. Shes very tricky and mischievous, always playing pranks on other Lightwings and always getting into trouble. She also doesn't really care about her prophecy that was placed on her, leading some to think shes actually not the prodigy for the Lightwings. A crude joker and a joke to some, she believes that her life as she knows it is good as it is.

2: Lore

Centuries ago the Lightwings were a dominant race. They were numerous, powerful, and dominant. They were the most respected and powerful race in all of Runeterra. However they didnt start out that way. At first the Lightwings were a wandering group of people, just trying to survive. The only thing those people had were the Orbs of Attainment, a gift from the Lightwings Gods, which was supposed to be given to the leader of the Lightwings. The Lightwings at this time werent a big group, so the leader of the Lightwings at the time wore it.

A long time later, The Lightwings helped overthrow MordekaiserMordekaiser and his reign, and afterwards settled in the land by the Shurima desert. There they crowned a king and gave him the Orbs of Attainment. There they became the powerful empire they were. They watched as empires such as Shurima fall and Demacia rise. They were peaceful in all of this, not wanting to make alliances. However, they became worried as the Noxus empire rose near them. Soon Noxus began to take over the land around them. The king of the Lightwings at this time ordered his army to stand ready to defend there land. Unfortunately Noxus was too powerful, and most of the Lightwing population was slaughtered. The king of the Lightwings tried to escape, but was caught and murdered. The remaining Lightwings fled to the clouds, where they tried to rebuild there civilization in the skies. The Lightwings Gods sent a message to the remaining Lightwings saying: The orbs will reawaken when the rightful prodigy has come.

The Orbs of Attainment havent been touched in years, but just a few months ago, a little orphan girl named Sera wandered into the sacred room where they kept the orbs and it awakened, wrapping around her and lighting up. The Lightwings realized this was the prodigy the Gods told them about. The current king of the Lightwings held a ceremony which recognized Sera is the new wielder of the orbs and also adopted her as his own daughter. The Lightwings rejoiced over having the Orbs of Attainment with someone again.

Sera, however, was more of a trickster then a prodigy. She didnt want to be a prodigy at all, she wanted to be like the other Lightwings her age and fly around with nothing to worry about. Unlike them she had to go through training and learning, which she didnt enjoy at all. At times she just wanted to leave the orbs and just be normal. As she grew older she began to rebel her authority and neglect her learning, often skipping class to instead steal some things, or go pull a prank on a unsuspecting Lightwing instead of studying. The king became worried that the peoples prodigy wasnt living up to what the people expected. Many people began to doubt there Gods choosing of a wielder of the Orbs.

One day Sera was, as usual, skipping her training time, when she bumped right into KayleKayle. Realizing that Kayle and her were both winged creatures and were flying, she decided to strike up a conversation, That conversation lead to them talking about the League of Legends, and how Kayle was there to defeat evil and her sister, MorganaMorgana. This all sounded exciting and fun to Sera, not the justice and prejudice part, but the fighting part of the League. She immediately flew to the League to join. Now she spends her free time at the League, fighting not only because it helps her, but also because its really really fun.

3: Role

Primary: Mage Secondary: Support

Sera is a paladin with lots of magical power to battle and to help her allies. If you havent seen my other entry into the CCOS check it out here. Basically a paladin is someone who can go solo in lane, but can also go support. Some good examples include Shen and Lulu (most played in this role) Natilus and Morgana (mostly stick to support but are also seen solo laning) Malphite and Zyra (usually seen solo laning but can also go support) and Taric (who is this.) She usually focuses on single target damage but sometimes she can do some aoe damage or hit multiple targets. Sera trades high ability power damage for her mobility and base health, and she can be easily picked up but a bit hard to play right.

(All from level 1 - 18)

Heatlh: 460 - 1640 Health regen: 5.5 - 15 Mana: 400 - 1245 Mana regen: 6 - 12 Range: 600 Attack: 50 - 100 Attack Speed: 0.625 Armor: 20 - 90 Magic resistance: 30 Movement speed: 345

5: Kit

Passive: Gift from the skies:

This ability has 2 parts:

1: Sera's basic attacks are primarily ap damage instead of ad damage. Her auto attacks are 75% (3/4) ap damage and 25% (1/4) ad damage

Lets say that your basic attack does 80 damage. Your basic attacks would do 60 ap damage and 20 ad damage.

2: Sera carries the Orbs of Attainment around her. She carries 24 orbs that affect almost everything about her. Using a basic attack uses one orb. Using abilities also cost a certain amount of orbs. Sera regenerates one orb every 1.5 seconds

Additionally if she kills anything with a basic attack, she automatically regains the orb used.

Q: Spherical Barrage

Cost: 1 - 6 orbs

Cooldown: 7 seconds

Damage: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250

Slow: 2 seconds

Stun: 2 seconds

On first cast: Sera begins to charge, slowing herself. She charges up one orb every one second, up to six orbs (If you cant do the math, that means for all 6 orbs its a 7 second long charge).

On second cast: Sera releases all her charged orbs in a skillshot towards a certain direction. This will hit the first enemy it makes contact with and deal bonus effects based on orbs hit.

1 orb hitting an opponent: Nothing special, just take ability damage 2 orbs hitting an opponent: Deal ap damage and slows the target 3 orbs hitting an opponent: Deals ap damage, stuns the target, and applies the affect Lightwing Passage to the enemy.

Lightwing Passage: An enemy marked with breezy passage can be walked through by Sera and her allies. Additionally the rest of Seras orbs from her ability Spherical Barrage will go through this target, dealing more ap damage for every orb that goes through.

This means that she can stun two enemies in a row if you time this correctly

W: Orb of Judgment

Cost: 1 orb each

Cooldown: 5 seconds between each orb

Sera casts an orb on an ally, opponent, or herself, giving them bonus effects.

On ally/herself: Gives ally or herself an orb that increases health regen for 15 seconds

Health Regeneration: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 bonus health regen per 5 seconds

On enemy: Gives enemy a orb that increases the damage Sera and her allies do to that enemy for 15 seconds

Bonus Damage 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 on all basic attacks and abilities

Note: You can cast as many orbs as you want, but be warned, those are your other abilities your giving away

E: Gliding

Cost: 3 orbs

Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds

Range: 700

Sera leaps to a target location, giving her and others effects on landing.

On ally: dash to a target ally, giving you and that ally bonus movement speed based on the distance Sera traveled

On enemy: dash to a target enemy, dealing both ability and basic attack damage in an aoe around her and applying Lightwing Passage to all enemies hit. She then gains bonus attack speed based on the enemies she hit.

Damage: 40/100/160/220/228

R: Orbsital Explosion

Cost: 1 - 24 orbs (based on how many Sera had on cast)

Slow duration: 2 seconds

Stun duration: 2 seconds

Shield: 20/40/60/80/100 (plus 20 for every champion hit)

Damage: 175/250/325

Cooldown: 100 seconds

Sera charges for 1 second before releasing all her orbs powers, dealing ap damage to everyone around her. The blast also had bonus effects depending on the number of orbs she had when this ability was cast.

1 - 8: Deals ap damage 9 - 16: Deals ap damage and gives Sera a shield based on enemy champions hit 17 - 23: Deals ap damage, slows all enemies, and gives Sera a shield based on enemy champions hit 24: Deals ap damage, slows all enemies, gives Sera a shield based on enemy champions hit, and gives all allies in the blast a shield half of Seras shield.

After this cast Sera is rooted in place for 3 more seconds and has no orbs. After this is finished the orbs come back to her, where she regains the orbs that make it all the way to her.

Enemy champions hit with an orb that is on the way back to Sera is stunned. However if an enemy is hit by an orb Sera will not regain that orb, and will have to wait for another one to regenerate.

Recall: _ Seras orbs start to spin and spin faster as the recall continues. Seras wings glow white and Sera looks up at the sky before recalling.

With street Sera she puts on a pair of shades and snaps her fingers

With warrior Sera a sword of light appears on her back. She pulls it off her back and swings it a few times before putting it back on her back

With Pointguard Sera a basketball hoop appears. Sera takes one of her orbs and shoots a three pointer into the hoop"

7: Builds

IN MID LANE

Build full ap. Am i joking? No, her basic attacks and abiities do so much with all ap that you probably want to build full ap. Work with common stuff like deathcap zhonyas and ludens, but with Sera try to build something to keep you alive a bit longer, since shes a bit more squishy then most other mages.

IN SUPPORT

Build ap BUT WAIT, you're a support. Dont be a sona, so instead build support items ALONG with you're ap items. By support items i mean stuff like wards because duh, wards.

8: Play styles:

PLAYING AS

IN MID:

Use your passive to deal tons of poke damage because of the ap scaling. With your Q only charge a full 7 if your trying to hit your opponent thats behind a minion. With your Q you get decent poke off with a slow or a stun, but try not to go to aggressive witht his as you sometimes just cast off all your basic attacks (because of the orbs passive) and screw yourself over. Your W can be used on the enemy to deal more damage, or yourself when your low on hp. This ability isnt as good as health pots. Remember, its regeneration, so if your going against a burst mage like leblanc and your trying to regenerate health under tower then your probably going to die. Try not to dive in with your E on an enemy. Instead use it when your lane gets ganked. Your E on an ally may not be as useful because its only you in lane but it can still be used to get out of places. Dont be afraid to use your R even if your just 1v1 against the enemy mid, it can still rekt them pretty hard ESPECIALLY if its a melee mid thats not yasuo because they are garenteed to get hit with your stun because they are next to you.

IN SUPPORT

Use your passive to deal tons of poke damage because of the ap scaling. With your Q make sure to decide if your going to cast orbs to hit 2 enemies or just one. If you can try to hit both the adc and the support in one. Like a bard Q this can set up stuff for your adc to do. Try not to be too agressive with it as if you use all of your orbs your enemy may go in on your adc and you cant really do much about it. Your W is perfect for healing your adc in battles as well as increasing your adc's damage output on enemies. With your E its not that useful to E to an ally unless your engaging or running, but its also not that good to charge into a group full of enemies as a squishy unless your ulting, so E wisely. Speaking or ulting your R is perfect for bot, because you can get you and your adc a shield and slow your enemies as they engage or run.

PLAYING AGAINST

IN MID

She does insane damage if she goes full ap and you cant really avoid that, so in fighting try to beat her before she can bet you (in terms of damage). When she starts to charge up your Q you may want to go in and poke her then, as this may cause her to release her orbs early. With her W if she goes in on you use some kind of CC to just trap and kill her. When she uses her R if you have a dash or something try to dodge the orbs coming back to her, as if you get stunned you may be dead soon after.

IN SUPPORT

With her passive she can deal some insane damage to you, so if your the support try to get someone tanky to tank her damage output and if your the adc stay away. With her Q try to not get that close together, as she could easily slow/stun both of you, setting up damage for her adc. Bring some CC or jumping power (and by that i mean a skill that can scare her like an alistar headbutt) that can surprise her while shes charging her Q. With her W its hard to catch up to her after shes Glided to an ally, as there movement speed has increased. However if you can get Sera and prevent any allies from getting in ranger for her to E to them then you're good to go. If she E's into your adc or your supp (depending on who your playing as) then CC them so she cant get out. With the R try to get a dash champ to dodge the stun from her ultimate. Remember she his rooted and silenced after casting this, so if you can jump on her then.

Hey! ^_^ Thanks a lot for the feedback on my concept it helped a lot. In return I would like to return the favor and review your concept. Anyway here are my thoughts on Sera, The Lightwing Prodigy!

Lore: My biggest issue with the lore is that half of it is used to explain the lightwing race rather than talk about Sera so we get very little about her. But honestly probably not a problem I tend to go to much into detail on lore anyway.... Wish the lore did go a bit more into her goals and such.

As for Sera I love her personality and I love how she's so relatable, we've all been in that situation where we''re stuck doing something we don't want to do and rather just rebel. I can't however figure out how she is similar to Kayle besides being angel like beings. Kayle to my knowledge upholds the law with extreme prejudice, we're talking about character who ran in the story ran the league tribunals when it was around! I don't think she would appreciate Sera breaking the rules and pranking people. Also she's almost a mayrtr, she fought a war for ten thousand years to protect her people and gave 1000 years of her life to save them from Morganna(In a way). She's almost the opposite of Sera who wants to avoid her destiny as much as possible.

Passive: AP based AAs: This could be very strong depending on the ratio, for an example 1:1 ratio would obviously be broken as hell as you can get up 800 AP normally while getting cdr and good survivabiltily. Orianna actually has a similar passive which starts worth 15% of Ap stacking up to 40%AP just wanted to bring it up.

Orbs Of Attainment: A pretty interesting mechanic but..... does it truly create meaningful gameplay. What I mean is take the orbs and the orb cost out of Sera's kit and how much changes? The only thing it really gates is her ult when she fully charges it which is a little strange to me because you're punishing the player for pulling off her ult? Besides the ult the cost on everything is low that I don't think it effects the other spells so much. Just my thought on this passive.

Q: I do like this ability, it does remind me a bit of Dota's Keeper of the Light's one ability. I like how you're rewarded for charging it longer and gives enemies ways to counterplay it. Can't argue much besides that.

W: Err...... I can't actually say much about this.... it all depends on the cooldown and just how much. Like the strength of this ability is determined by just how much you heal, deal damage, cooldown, and how long it lasts .Also isn't this Overwatch's Zenyatta or something Orb of Discord and that healing Orb?

E: I don't really understand why she would want to jump near enemies, she's a squishy mage they tend to want to stay far away from enemies to avoid being popped but I guess it helps with her ult. Would be nice to hear the range on this.

R: While I do believe if you let the squishy mage sit there for 12 seconds you deserve to lose the fight i think damage, stunning, a shield, and an AS buff might be a bit overkill. Also comes the fact for the full potential of this ability you must channel for a really long time. Like think about Nunu's ult how often do you see him channel the full duration of absolute zero. This is the problem Sera faces but she's also a squishy mage who wants to stay away from enemies. I think you can cut down on some of the effects and cut down on the channel time. Maybe give her a shield and provide the AS buff while she channels? This gives her survivavbilitly and allows her to contribute to the fight as she channels, just a small idea.

Numbers: I really hate to judge concepts like this but numbers are REALLY important. They tell me just how strong an ability is for an example your Q, I cannot properly review unless I know how much it's going to chunk someone for. This also real important for your ult i don't know whether it hits like ziggs ult or like a full AP nunu. Also cooldowns are really nice in judging the strength of a character without some idea on these I cannot give you a proper review, sorry:/ I'll do another small review if you choose to add in the numbers.
