[Champion Concept] Eylus, the Aspiration of Noxus
#Eylus, the Aspiration of Noxus
Power you fight for is greater than power you steal. -Eylus
Eylus is a ranged, basic attack based mage that pressure's his opponents through repeated basic attacks that chip away at their health, and when it is time, he unleashes his spells to whip up some combo's.
Eylus is intended for the mid lane.
#Kit:
#Every spell will have a lavender hue with black wisp accents
#Resource: Inspiration Eylus's auto attacks charge his special resource "Inspiration" used to cast his spells; 8 being rewarded for every auto attack. Capacity is 100.
#Basic Attack: Eylus winds up a snap and snaps at the target. A flash, or magic firecracker if you will, appears on the target.
#Passive: Growing Influence Eylus's basic attacks increase his total attack range, which decreases steadily while out of combat. Additionally, auto attacks will apply a stack of "Inadequacy." After 5 stacks, Eylus's next spell will consume the stacks and root the target for 1/1.5/2 seconds. This effect cannot occur again for a brief period.
#Q: Force of Will Eylus charges a long range skill shot that increases in velocity and damage the more resource is consumed. There is an initial cost followed by steady drain while being charged. Slows Eylus mildly while being charged.
#W: Searing Dominance Passive: Eylus's basic attacks deal stackable weak magic damage over time. The duration decreases the closer the target is to Eylus. This damage benefits from spell vamp and on spell hit effects such as Liandry's
, Rylai's
, and Luden's Echo
.
#E: Sovereign Ground Eylus places an area of effect that drains magic resistance from enemies the longer they stand in it. The drain persists briefly after they leave the area.
#R: Revelation Eylus consumes the rest of his resource to send out a fairly slow moving skill shot that fires smaller projectiles at nearby champions, number based on how much resource is consumed. Projectiles will divide evenly between each champion still within range. If it makes contact with a champion, the rest of the projectiles will envelop the champion and reward Eylus with half their resource cost.
#TL;DR _ Passive and W: Auto attacks generate energy/increase attack range briefly, apply an AP DoT, and apply a debuff that you pop with your other spells to root the target._ Q goes zippidy doo and hurts the first thing it touches. E is an MR thirst zone. R is pretty much a moving turret.
#Lore:
Eylus's family was a supporter of the Darkwill family. Upon Swain's upheaval of Darkwill, Eylus's family rebelled and was cut down without mercy. Eylus was just a boy coming into adolescence at the time. With his father's final wishes, he grabbed his family ring and fled Noxus. He swore vengeance on Swain for butchering his family. To survive he stole from various inns, and one day he heard of the Grey Order's exodus. After a long journey, he found himself in the Voodoo Lands. The colony leaders found him starving and clutching a ring clad in lavender quartz. The colony marvelled at what kind of magic could lay dormant within the ring to keep the boy alive. They brought him up teaching him the ways of magic. Eylus found an attunement in it like no other had before. He was able to cast spells without the reserves of his own mana. The ring seemed to give him power as it was used. He found his way to the League in hopes of being recognised by the Noxus people as the true symbol of Noxian might. He one day hopes to gather supporters and overthrow Swain's corrupt leadership.
#TL;DR Eylus is a Noxian orphan with a mystical family ring raised by the Grey Order, Annie's parents pretty much. He also wants Swain's head on a pike.
#Strengths and Weaknesses Strengths:
- Strong at mid ranged combat
- Adequate lane bully
- Can still put up a fight if facing a melee opponent

- Dying, weak clutch nexus saving and returning to lane
#Combos: Basic Attack, Basic Attack, Basic Attack... Oh you get the jist. But then you want to combo... Inadequacy + Force of Will/Revelation Inadequacy + Force of Will + Sovereign Ground + Revelation The basic attacks are within the fine print.
Here is the concept art I have made, albeit I was lazy making the ring so you would have an idea. The ring is intended to be worn on the right index finger; which is a sign of power. If need be I will make illustration for the skills, but at a later time. Since the Grey Order/Voodoo Lands has only Annie, I didn't want to design Eylus's clothes based off a little girl's... Forgive me.
