Changed Karthus Ult

So some people find karthus ult annoying as to how it is nearly impossible to stop the damage (aside from enough shields or untargetable/invulnerability). However, I have came up with an alternative way of his ult working that allows people to flash it. Hear me out what if instead of making it a targeted smite from the heaves, make it into a ripple effect (only one) that emanates from karthus that hits everywhere on the map. This means that it is no longer targeted however it will still hit everyone on the enemy team. This creates other ways of blocking it. So all the normal ways still work but now braum shield can stop in AND you can flash over it.

I just thought of this out of the blue and I wanted some opinions on it, so what do y'all think would this work??
