[Champion Concept] Ioran, the Phantom (Tank Support)

Ioran is a tank support that can easily initiate teamfights for his allies, and save allies through impressive play. As one of the few tanks that heal and fear, Ioran can turn around fights, ganks, and even duels on his own if played correctly. All in all, Ioran is a powerful force to be reckoned with, and may even compete in high rank spotlight against Leona, Janna, and even Thresh.

Description

Ioran is a wraith, with a body similar to that of Nocturnes. He has a long, red cloak with gold embedments on the edges, going over his head and around his neck; the cloak flows with his body like a living form. His hands are sharp and monstrous, not like a bears hand, but long straight claws for fingers. He wields a long bastard sword in his right hand that looks similar to the cloak - red on the hilt with gold embedments, but the blade itself is a simple sleek silver that glints at the right angle.

Lore

Ioran was once a noble man, proud husband of a beautiful wife living in the city of Demacia. One day, however, a supernatural event occurred and his wife was gone. All he knew was the event was not normal in Demacia, and so he had to investigate. After two months of researching, he came down to the conclusion his wife had been taken to the Shadow Isles. He rushed on a boat to the Shadow Isles, and searched for his wife for three days, all the while unsuccessful. Eventually he was worn down and broken, when a ghostlike figure walked up and asked him what his troubles were. Desperate, Ioran explained everything to the ghost, and the ghost made a deal with him - that he would find his wife and be reunited at the cost of his soul. Ioran did so, and the ghost tricked him, attempting to imprison him. Pure will struck out through him, and he rushed out of the lantern-like prison before fleeing. Ioran ran away from the ghost and discovered his new distinguished lifeform - the only things that remained of him was his trusted sword and his cloak, both still in high quality condition. Ioran now roams the Shadow Isles, trying to find the treacherous ghost that tried to imprison him and find his wife again.

Abilities

P - Undying Devotion If an ally within 1400 units receives fatal damage, Ioran teleports nearby to them, sacrifices 40% (reduced by .9% per level, 20% at level 18) of his current health, and gives the ally 25% (increased by .4% per level, 45% at level 18) of his maximum health while making them invulnerable for 1 second, and attaching Shrouded Cloak for free, regardless of its current wearer (unless the wearer is the low health ally.) This has a 210 second cooldown, reduced by 5 seconds per level down to 120 seconds at level 18 (if Ioran levels up, it takes 5 seconds off automatically.)

Q - Shrouded Cloak (60 mana, 14 / 13 / 12 / 11/ 10 seconds, 550 range) Ioran wraps his cloak around an ally champion, granting them 15 / 17.5 / 20 / 22.5 / 25 (+0.1 Armor) bonus armor and 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 / 20 (+0.1 Magic Resist) bonus magic resistance, as well as granting them 30% of any incoming healing Ioran receives at the cost of his own benefit. The cloak has a leash range of 925 before detaching. In addition, Ioran and the ally become invisible for 4 seconds and gain 25% movement speed once the cloak is attached, and both are revealed if one is revealed.

Once the cloak is out, it can be reattached to other targets if off cooldown but already attached for free.

W - Swarm of Darkness (40 mana, 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds, 325 range [cone]) Passively, Ioran's first basic attack on a champion attacks in a line towards them, dealing bonus damage to enemies it passes through and applying a stack of Swarm of Darkness to all targets. This has a 6 second cooldown on champions.

When activated, Ioran swings his blade in front of him, dealing 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+0.03 Max Health) physical damage and slowing enemies by 32.5 / 35 / 37.5 / 40 / 42.5%, as well as applying a mark to all friends and foes alike that reveals them to Ioran (Ioran and an ally affected by Shrouded Cloak gain stacks automatically). Ioran can activate this ability again for free once before going on cooldown, applying up to two marks. Enemies hit twice take half damage.

E - Choir of Despair (70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana, 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds, 1125 range) Ioran shouts out, activating all marks applied by Swarm of Darkness. Allies are healed for 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+0.3 AP) and have all slow, root, and snare effects removed from them, and enemies take 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+0.3 AP) magic damage and are feared for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds. If the target is affected by two stacks, all effects are amplified by 20 / 22.5 / 25 / 27.5 / 30%, excluding the fear duration. In addition, enemies who have recently been affected by Choir of Despair cannot be feared again for the next four seconds.

R - Promise of Anguish (100 mana, 180 / 140 / 100 seconds, 750 range [300 range]) Ioran channels briefly, becoming immune to CC while channeling and during the cast before dashing at 1800 speed to a target area, dealing 150 / 250 / 350 (+0.6 AP) magic damage to enemies and knocking them up for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 seconds and have a stack of Swarm of Darkness applied to all targets in the area (at rank 3, this applies another two stacks instead and refreshes Choir of Despair's cooldown). In addition, any ally affected by Shrouded Cloak can click on Ioran to dash to him. For 4 seconds, Shrouded Cloaks leash range is extended to 1850.

Quotes and Animations

Ioran has a low, humble voice that sounds rather depressed, yet contains a spark of rage somewhere inside. Imagine Mufasa from The Lion King, with the voice being slightly higher pitched.

Attacking Iorans attacks swing in wide arcs, cleaving into his enemy similar to Aatrox and Garen (he is always swinging with his right hand, and his left acts like he were holding a shield - though he isn't.)

Dance

• Until I find a video for it, I can only describe his dance as a classical dance similar to a less dramatized tango.
• During his performance, Ioran is dancing with a blue spectral ghost in the form of a female human, and after the climax of the dance, he notices and gasps before the image fades and he reaches out, trying to grasp the remains before sighing and returning to his normal state.

Casting Shrouded Cloak [ability quotes can only be activated once every 8 seconds, excluding ones with asterisks]* Ioran grasps his cloak and throws it towards the ally - the movement looks like a flag on a string being swung quickly.

Casting Swarm of Darkness (first time only) Ioran swings his blade in a large arc in front of him with both hands, swinging towards his left, and then his right the first and second time respectively. In addition, his blade glows and blasts a dark blackish matter out towards the direction of the swing.

Casting Choir of Despair Ioran seems to build up his prowess (think of Spirit Guard Udyr transforming into Bear Form - the bear's animation) before shouting - whilst shouting, Ioran and all marked targets sends out a greenish blast that turns black as it travels outward.

Casting Promise of Anguish Ioran channels with his hands in the air before dashing like a ghost in a cartoon towards the location. At the location, he unleashes a powerful burst of dark energy around him - during this time, he moves his hands up above him like Olaf during Vicious Strikes animation, except held near that position for another few seconds.
